I was thinking the same thing. It's like someone say they giving you a tour of Kingston and go nowhere but downtown (literally Kingston Parish only). Not even New Kingston. This guy would just point you the direction of HalfwayTree and Cross Roads and say that road will take you out of town to them places. Forget Barbican, anywhere in St Andrew Parish, he would take it literally and say that is another planet, lol. Just say, you're going to give a tour of center city Mobay and leave it at that. Respect.
Thank you, I’m from Hanover- Montego Bay so I want you to know I appreciate the time you took to highlight the importance historical parts of Montego Bay
Oh my did not go home for 45 years I use to go to Boys School in Montego Bay lots of girls were in my class anyway I will go back to visit schoolyard was fun playing there dandy shandy with the girls 😃
As someone from the west coast, I absolutely love the carribeans and all of the island cultures. Thank you for giving me a window into your life! I am looking forward to visit one day
I love Montegobay so much I have been there so many times.....watching this vedio now is like am actually on my way there 😄thanks very for the tour again .
Would to take the time out to say thank you , you took me down memory lane bringing me back to my childhood , I left mobay a long time ago and gave me back a piece of my childhood that was missing in the sense that I migrated from there , you brought tears to mine eyes , I can say I very much appreciate you for this , respect and honor bless up ,
I remember everywhere you passed, this video made my entire day as i was able to navigate thru the video and remember specific streets and places. I moved when i was 12 years old but my heart remains home. And I do go home at least twice a year except for this year cause of rona 😂😂. I enjoyed every second of this one.
I left Jamaica approaching 43 years now, and in those first 3 years after I left, I was so home sick that I would ask family members to record anything on cassette recorders from RJR and send to me. Lol. From Barbara Gloudon on Hot Line to racing commentary from Caymanas Park. 🤣🤣And when my feelings were down, I would play them to bring me the joys of home. Those days there were no RUclips and Facebook etc to bring videos streaming. Can you imagine the joy when I first return to visit three years later? Sweet is the memory. I truly thank any and all these RUclipsrs who take time to produce these kinds of videos, especially of Montego Bay where I was born and raised.
I was born in Kingston I'm passed thru montego bay once my feet never hit the ground ever in montego bay I basically knew nothing about montego bay . Until now . Thank you
Great video! Excellent presentation! Montego Bay is very clean and developed. It's a pity that some Jamaicans don't appreciate the historicity and beauty of this place.
Many many thanks for creating this channel. I lived in Montego bay as a young lad of 14 way back in 69. I attended Cornwall college and still remember to this day the curried goat Patties and spice bun and cheese we had at break time. My dad was working building a hospital possibly near Freeport although my memory is a little faded. Then he helped construct a hotel opposite doctors cave if I remember rightly. This has brought many memories come flooding back to me, although much has changed. Back in the UK now but wish I could come back again. Best wishes to you and your family and I will look forward to watching all your videos one by one. Cheers. Bill.
@@frankjames6048 I'm doing ok thank you. Approaching 70 now and feeling it. I wish I was well enough to visit Jamaica once more and see the changes for myself. Still I've got my memories. My best wishes to you and yours. Bill
1989 Traveled to MB for my honeymoon. 2 very young and inexperienced kids. (21yrs old) Thought it would be a good idea to take a taxi into downtown MB. It was a marketplace square of some sort. The taxi driver lectured us the entire ride of what to do and where to go and not. He told us he would be back to pick us up at a specific time. And he did. Sweet older gentleman. We had a very delightful and eye opening trip. The locals were both very very friendly and also some were very frightening. As when traveling anywhere. We also did some tours and visited a pineapple and cocoa plantation. Had the absolute amazing lunch on a veranda. Another day we went way up a mountainside to visit a school and spent the day with the children. We went to a night bbq and it was my first experience with Ganja. Our hotel was incredibly boring but our time out in the countryside was a complete delight. We learned so much about your wonderful Montego Bay and Jamaica as a whole. Best trip of my life ever.
I really appreciate this video, born in Hanover but spent most of my life in Montego Bay ,i l9ve my city and would love to see the whole place renovated and look how its supposed to be ,some places looking good but the main original parts needs up. building up
I only drive the round about to go back to moneague, ST.ANN...get off the plane and my children came to pick me up and head home, so this is very INTERESTING, thank you very much for such details...💞🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤❤😘
Howard Cook Highway used to be the sea. As a lttle girl, my father would take me and my brothers on a Sunday to watch the water being dried up to make the highway. Amazing! When I visit Jamaica, I have to spend some time in Montego Bay, the city where I was born.
Thats my city and i missed it alot,.. have to share with a friend of mine who hvnt been back to ja in a while..mobay is still beautiful and developing fast..my son was the first to point out to me that the kfc in montego bay is the best tasting he has ever had..
You missed mentioning the Catherine Hall Stadium....you could have also gone up to Mount Salem to look at the massive Cornwall regional Hospital complex.
