Your many videos of the jc40 have really got me wanting one 😩
It’s a great affordable amp, how can you resist?
The JC's like most Roland-BOSS gear will end up paying for themselves a few times over by Trouble free Longevity and in that they are like the Toyota of the gear world= Less "glamorous" and taken for granted but will become your Trouble Free FAVORITE once owned. Just cherish the Amp or ANY gear for that matter with simple Quality (APC brand is good) SURGE PROTECTION and it will Love you back for decades flawlessly. The JC's are Ultra Reliable and people even joke about how even if you drop one down a flight of stairs that the only thing broken will be...the stairs! Pretty funny but not far from true. Besides that a JC might only need some unusual incidental maintenance from very old overheated electronics but probably only if it was constantly driven Hot and hard at High volume? These newer semi-digital Amps run even cooler I believe plus the latest electronic and cooling tech is likely more efficient too. Compare THAT to an expensive finicky Tube "Diva" Amp that runs much Hotter all the time with Tube shortages these days plus the shop cost of re- biasing tubes with Inflation? Everyone should have a Solid State practice Amp backup anyhow and the conveniently Stereo equipped JC's ALSO solve any phase or polarity issues that may occur if using Two mono Amps together too! It's like, a Triple Win with the Jazz Chorus all around.
@@squirelova1815 this looks like an old fashioned commercial but indeed is true. That being said, I understand tube aficionados...I personally own 4 tube amps...but 5 JCs 😅
@@TheSpaceGuitar Looks like you are already set for a good long while then.
Great idea for a comparison! Exactly what I needed. Maybe you can do another vid and match the loudness of the Fender combo and the JC 40?
You will not believe me but in the room the volume was the same. Maybe it's a matter of proximity. I used the same mics
@@TheSpaceGuitar Maybe it’s certain mid frequencies that make the tube amp so much louder in the recording scenario? Anyway, you made a great vid with all those nice overdrive and distortion pedals…
Great demonstration on the pedal effects on tube and solid state! I've often wondered how the difference would be! Thanks for sharing!👍
Thanks mate 🙏🏻
Nice idea. Well done. Interesting video.
Thanks my friend, please subscribe
Seems like a Jazz Chorus with certain settings can sometimes sound more "Tubey" than a real tube amp. Amazing.
Yes, true! And some OD pedals sound better in the JC
Oh man 😩 I really don’t want to start offering single coil-sized humbuckers on my website but you make them sound so good… I’ll definitely have to think about it. Great video! Every time you got from every pedal and amp combo was to die for!
Thanks mate. This is a 920d custo pre-wired pickguard with Seymour Duncan everything axe set. It's the ultimate session player tool 🔥
Awesome video! I just picked up a second JC-22 so I can run two of them in a TPS style wet/dry setup. Trying to decide what drive/distortion pedal to use.. some great ideas from your video. That Belle sounds great! Thanks so much!!!
I’d go for a Boss Blues driver waza craft, a morning glory or a Belle! Or a CE-1 preamp
Like the one Grobert Pedals makes
Let me know which one you’ll choose
@@TheSpaceGuitar I’m also intrigued by that new Boss Waza Preamp/Booster… thanks again!
My three favorites are: Boss bd-2 Waza Craft/Warm audio odd/Warm audio centavo. I put the first two (Bd-2waza/Odd) at the same exceptional level and immediately after the centavo. The others are nice and sound good but for me they don't have the same personality and character as the Bd-2 w and the warm audio odd. I conclude by saying that in my opinion the warm audio centavo is one of the best reproductions of the K.Centaur at a very advantageous price. Greetings.
My personal favourite are: BD2w, Wampler Belle and Mojo Mojo. Agree about the centavo.
Great video!!! Thank you for that!!!
I bought my JC 90 and I'm IN LOVE. Fender Princeton chorus was left for study. I'm going to sell my valves (lol)! Have you ever used a tube overdrive pedal, like the Chandler? Thanks!
I love the JC90, I wish someday to have the chance to buy one, since it was made for the Us market
Great video! Which one are your top 3 favorites?
Thanks mate, I’ll give you 5:
1) JHS Morning Glory
2) Boss BD-2w
3) Wampler Belle
4) Warmaudio Centavo
5) TC Mojo Mojo Paul Gilbert ed.

@@TheSpaceGuitar Thanks for your replay! i did subscribe! I have the MG and the Belle and they are really great pedals! Keep the good work man!
@@marce211275 thanks mate 🙏🏻 I always reply. If you take a minute of your time to reach me I will always be there ❤️
I thought the JC sounded WAY better in every example. I love the sound of tweed style amps, but they are so full in the mids that they sound really boxy and nasal when used with overdrive pedals. Much better to just use their own natural overdrive.
Some pedals sounded great with tubes, other better with the JC. This video is to prove that you always have to check things out without prejudice. The thing with tube amps is that you achieve natural distortion at volumes that are not always friendly
so for JC, if I am hearing it right, Wampler ones sound best? and the Waza Boss boost?
If I had to choose one pedal to drive a Jazz Chorus I'd go for a Blues driver for loyalty. Every Boss pedal sounds great though a JC amp. But the Belle and the morning glory deliver tones to die for 😊
Which would you keep between the Duke of Tone and the Morning Star? I have a Tumnus Deluxe, Moxie, Rat, and Blues Breaker Reissue, but I think I'm selling my reissue for one of these two.
The Duke of tone is really crap mate. The morning glory is great. Please subscribe 😊
@@TheSpaceGuitar what about the ThorpyFX Peacekeeper? I've heard great about it
Why did I like the Roland more??
Don’t tell me…
