That chorus from the amp is ridiculously good. Oh my god. I came for the delay and ended up swooning for chorus.
Jazz Chorus and Boss pedals is a match made in heaven. Please subscribe
My three favorites are: Boss bd-2 Waza Craft/Warm audio odd/Warm audio centavo. I put the first two (Bd-2waza/Odd) at the same exceptional level and immediately after the centavo. The others are nice and sound good but for me they don't have the same personality and character as the Bd-2 w and the warm audio odd. I conclude by saying that in my opinion the warm audio centavo is one of the best reproductions of the K.Centaur at a very advantageous price. Greetings.
My personal favourite are: BD2w, Wampler Belle and Mojo Mojo. Agree about the centavo.
¿Que pickups lleva esa guitarra? What pickups does that guitar have?

The amp as your playing have a very calming and pleasant tone.
Thanks mate ❤️
If the DM-2W had tap tempo it would be perfect
It's a set and forget pedal mate, it's perfect as it is
My Pastfx isn’t noisy
Good for you, mate
all overdrive sound shit on the Roland Jazz Chorus... the Rat does a fairly good job though... and the Behringer Tube Monster..
Actually it’s not true, even if it’s a matter of taste. I’ve done a video playing some overdrives both with Jazz chorus and a Tweed Victoria amp. Some are better in the JC, to my hears. Please subscribe
Great comparison! The tube amp sounds louder, but it does give the JC a good sounding distortion!
Thanks mate ❤️🥂
Awesome Demo! I've been torn between possibly trading in my Marshall MG 50DFX and Fender Champion 100 for the JC 40 or not. Or trade in one and keep the other. Such a versatile amp the JC 40 is! Good stereo tone and portability all in one.
The JC40 is a serious music tool, for a fair price. It’s a secret weapon that most people refuse to consider because is solid state. But then buy a katana that is so boxy…please subscribe
I subscribed. Thanks for the reply!
Sounds great ! What were your setings on the DD-7 ....? Thanks ! - Cheers !
Exactly those shown in the video mate. Please subscribe
i love your soft and mellow playing
Thanks mate 🙏🏻
I wonder what 2 JC40s compares with a JC120. I have a JC40 and was either thinking of buying another JC40 or upgrading to a JC120
I had a stereo setup with two JC22. It’s a very fun option. Buy a JC120 and keep The JC40. Please subscribe
I had first and second generation Yamaha thr, boss katana mini and nux mighty lite bt. Played on boss katana air and positive grid. Now I have nux mighty space. In my opinion, mighty space is the best portable option. I'll give Yamaha second place, since it is the easiest to set up a good sound.
I’m curious about the Nux and the new amp from Positive Grid. Why you think is the best option? Please subscribe.
@@TheSpaceGuitar For my taste, Yamaha has the best sound in the portable segment. At nux mighty space I managed to repeat it, which is saying a lot. Promotional price for nux $300, includes a wireless transmitter, a high-quality two-button footswitch that works with a looper, drums and presets, built-in batteries, cabinet output! Competitors simply do not have such a set. There are no questions about the sound, the variety is at its best. Hello from Ukraine)
QUESTION, DOES THIS SOUND LOUD ENOUGH FOR BAND PRACTICE?
Yes it's loud enough
Both are great pedals with a unique sound. I went with a flashback 2 for more of an 80s digital tone like U2.
I love all the Delays TC have made. Every single one has a specific tone or feature that makes it stand out
I have the old THR but, in clean sound with chorus, it can't beat the Roland.
The Roland is unbeatable my friend. Please subscribe
Awesome amp! The pedal sounds great too for simulating the amp! Great comparison!👍
Thanks mate, the pedal is so well made, versatile and refined. Is that digital that does not get old
@@TheSpaceGuitar 👍
Buy this if you want instant Boston tone!
@@johndiloreto3738 well it’s not that lush…
Man! That was so dope. I love the stuff you write. Your demos are great cause they really show the potential of the gear in an actual music context - within a mix, within the structure of a song. It shows how the gear can actually be used for making music, rather than only noodling and making noises. Shows how it might spark creativity too. Anyway, thanks! I appreciate your work.
I appreciate so much your comment mate! You can’t believe how hard it is to stand out from the RUclips algorithm. Anyway I can’t do solos I just can put my heart in my music. Big hug my friend, please subscribe
Hi there, I have just bought a JC40 yesterday and it really is an amazing amp. Thank you for your in-depth reviews which helped me to make the decision! I am just wondering now whether to get an SD-1 or BD-2. Mainly want it as a boost/ gain pedal for spacey solos. Which would you recommend? Thanks 🤘
Thanks for the nice comment. If you have to choose only one, we’ll go for the BD2. I’d go for the Waza one. Please subscribe
@@TheSpaceGuitarthank you for the advice. Subd 👍🏻
I usually can't hear the difference between amp models on a video. However, the 40 sounds noticeably brighter here than the 22. Same with the 40 sounding lighter than the 120 in another vid. Grateful for quality recording of this review which allows me to hear a purchase-influencing difference over the internet.
Thanks mate I always try to do my best with capturing the nuances. Please subscribe
Very tasteful playing 👌
Thanks mate, please subscribe
Thinking about the 40 but I’m sure the 22 would do well. Anyway, at the 44:22 minute mark you kicked in the black pedal and the bass really kicked in hard. I like it, do you have the pedal name? Thanks.
It’s a Boss OC3 mate, a great tool for tone. I sold it for an OC5
I was so sure of buying the digital but after watching this I’m not so sure
You can’t go wrong in any case mate. Please subscribe
Beautiful guitar! Great job!! Thanks!!
Thanks mate
The Rupert Neve pickups on these new Pacificas just absolutely slay with clean tones
They work better clean. By far
Well, I guess I don't have to tell any of the people out in TV land that the BD2 sounds best *ahem* _for some reason._ But right behind, almost too close to call, is the Bad Monkey....I mean Good Devil. They really work well with the JC's marble-like cleanness.
Awesome guitar! Sounds great!👍
Thanks my friend 🙏🏻

The Mk2 is also excellent.
I like also the original MK1
JC amps are so great. Greatest all-solid state amps ever made, in my opinion. I don’t personally like the distortion it produces, but for clean stuff it’s just amazing.
I agree with you all the way! Please subscribe
First off, great and informative channel, thx! My home amp is thru some trial nd error the following; Randall 75RG G3 for the more heavy nd rock segment. And ofc Roland JC 40 for clean and chorus segment. I tried many pedals, but i stuck with the Boss GT 10, its a bit tough to get into, but once you get past the initial operability hurdle its quite good. I owned various Marshall combo amps, and they are nowhere as good as the above on sound. I have not yet owned Vox or Fender amps, and its on my wish list, but its so pricy..
Do you think that the effect loop will work with a TC Electronic M-One XL? I am a pedalsteel player and I like my M-One and I like a very clean amp with anough headroom.
Yes mate it will work just fine. Please subscribe
What is that modulated delay with the tube amp? Sounds wonderfull.
It’s an old TC Nova repeater digital delay, my friend, please subscribe
My Roland JC-40 with my Gibson 330. It's a wonderful sound, and shocks it really warm sounding even without Chorus.
You should try also the Henriksen Bud, even if features wise the JC40 is unbeatable
@@TheSpaceGuitar you know what, The Roland JC-40 does everything I need. But if I needed a small gigging amp, the Hendikson would be on my list. They are expensive,
They both sound great in the own ways. Do you want brick red or burnt umber? Without the comparison either would do. Thanks for the tasty playing.
Thanks as always David. I have to stop playing with the eyes…too much stuff in the end for the same sound
I love both! Awesome guitar too!👍
Thanks mate, I just sold that guitar though! ❤️
Dang, the Boss SD-1W is so underrated.
True, mate
Sounds good, of course. Hagström has become what Gibson once was. One important difference: the tuning keys are incredibly balanced and stay in tune far out better than Gibson. My Viking DLX12 and my Super Swede are also proof of that. And last but not least, all models are far more affordable.
This very guitar had some bridge issues. Other than that the tone is great for the price
Thats a beast of an amp. Love it¬! But carrying to gigs, emm on. My JC-40 is enough :-0
This is not for gigging. Too heavy and collectible to risk it
@@TheSpaceGuitar Yeah i bet! Like one of my Guitars, its for me at home to enjoy :-)
This was the first real amp I ever used, on loan from my uncle when I was 13. I loved the reverb and chorus in this amp and the ability to run a vocal mic on the other channel. I ran a generic telecaster copy through this thing and cranked the instrument volume up and kept the master volume low to overdrive the hell out of it. This was before I had any pedals and I was able to pull off some great garage rock and lofi sounds with it. I remember it being so heavy it took myself and my brother to carry it a few houses over to jam with a drummer. 😂
Thanks for sharing mate
Great guitars!👍 great playing with the volume pedal!👍
Thanks my friend, love swells

Hi I'm looking at the 22 or 40. If I only play at home and want to keep to bedroom levels, will the 40 be too much? Because to my ear, while the 22 has more bass at low level, it seems to be lacking in the treble department (less clear, less wide, less full treble than the 40). Does the 22 suffer in those areas to your ear? Thanks!
Hi, at home the 22 is just perfect and does not lack in anything untile you crank it. In that case it lacks bigger speakers 😅. Please subscribe
