    You hit the nail perfectly on the head. Can't believe the fix was as simple as playing around with the wires to fix a bad connection. You saved me a trip to my mechanic. Thank you!

    Thank you, I had heard in another video that wiring under seat was problem . I could not find problem in my Yukon cl until after I saw your video. That made the difference. It started working after pushing wiring connection in a little. Dealer told me it would be at least $200. Independent said 2 or 3 hundred minimum.

    Thank you!! Haven’t fixed yet, but I’m 100% sure this is the reason the light came on! Let someone an entire foot shorter than me drive so they had to move my seat all the way up, and BOOM here comes the light! 😫

    Initially, I couldn't find that sensor on driver seat. I thought it didn't apply to 2011 Tahoe ... Nope, I had to take out entire driver seat to finally see it. Unlike yours, it is now upgraded; it is covered with a bracket and hard to see.
    The sensor is just like you described, in a pinching position. I had to buy e-torx socket to take out the seat. It is .... much much clearer ... to see compared to bolted position. You can also take out the back plastic cover much easier this way

    Where did you order your connector at

  • @darryls8066
    @darryls8066 2 года назад

    2009 Tahoe "HYBRID" it must have different seats as it does NOT have a connector in that area. Raised both seats al the way up wiggled all connections I could find and no joy. I still have the light and message. Wife says the kids cannot ride with me until it is fixed Hmmm I might just leave it alone Hahahahah but Not of course..... I ordered myself an Innova 5160 a few mins ago so that ii can read the SRS codes. It was time to upgrade my code scanner anyway I think the Innova 5160 even has the ABS automatic brake bleed setting and reads the hybrid battery cells WOW this is gong to be awesome. Got to love a new toy!

      @zaiks0105 10 месяцев назад

      It may be hidden behind a bracket. Taking out the seat will let you see much clearer (upside down)

  • @mrobvious1100

    My light would come on when I move my driver seat all the way back because I'm 6 ft 5 but when I move forward about 6 inches the light would go out if I moved it back the light would come on so I know it has something to do with wiring under the seat. I have a big harness under the seat on the far left side if you're in the second row and then that little seat position sensor is all the way on the right like in the video. I don't have a wire sticking out of the connector. I am going to try and remove the seat and see what I can figure out just wish I knew what all those wires were and that big harness on the left by the floor vent

    Do you need to clear the codes with a tester to get the dummy light off? or will resolving the issue also turn the light off? Thanks for the vid

  • @CecilioConLa6.2

    Mine is the opposite. I removed the steering wheel emblem and replaced it with a flat head.. I thought it was due to the emblem being removed and replaced but yours is still off.

      Have the codes pulled at any parts store. They will do for free because they want to sell you parts.

    Fingers crossed but sadly it wasn’t this common problem. Shit I’m guessing it’s the one of the two sensors in the front bumper due to salt as I do live in the Midwest. Can the scan tools at the local auto parts store i.e. Napa, autozone, Orielly’s able to read srs air bag lights???

    • @WrenchSense
      @WrenchSense  4 года назад

      Sorry to hear that this was not your problem. Did you check the passenger seat for the problem in the video? There are many different types of scanners. You will have to ask the sales person if their scanners can read airbag codes. Good luck to you and thanks for the comment!

    • @WrenchSense

      There are so many reasons for this. I would suggest having the codes pulled for the entire system. This will point you in the right direction.

    Why is it so hard for someone to just provide the GM part number for the connector. Yes I know go to the junkyard and cut one out the problem is that one has rust rainwater and the elements and thousands of hours on it I would like one brand new
