    It would be nice if the shim kit was included with the OMB torque converter kit....have to wait another week for the shims to get here.

    Great video. Just tuned down the spring because I don't think the 9 year old needs all that much torque right away.

    My Coleman bt200x takes M8 1.25 for the torque converter plate which didn't come in my kit

    I'm not so sure that the Comet green spring is an upgrade to the red spring. The torque wrench in my arm thinks the red spring has more tension. And if you put a micrometer on them the red spring is thicker by about .007". If you need a spring go right to the yellow. If you don't want all that tension then use the hole with the least tension.

    Awesome. Cant wait to get one. WIll 10hp shred the belt?

      10HP will not "shred" the belt! LOL The guys that are shredding belts don't have their setup on point! It is important to have the driver and driven pulleys aligned properly. The genuine Comet belts will perform better and last longer too!

      That is a tough one without knowing what bike you have. Email me at Help@OMBWarehouse.com and send me some pics of the bike.

    Hey Eric I purchased y’all a torque converter for my Bt200x, we’ve emailed a few times. Where can I find the Kevlar belt for my setup? I got some 669’s off amazon but both sides are tapered in, it works, but it’s shredding quickly l.

      We have the correct belt here. Use genuine Comet belts! They are the best you can get! www.ombwarehouse.com/-9-7-belt-asymmetric.html

    I have a Tillotson 212 I'm gonna be installing a Torque Converter I bought from OMB warehouse an I got the sae bolt pack will it fit fine on my Tillotson I never mount it yet Torque Converter is still in box. It's going on my Colman BT200x mini bike. I also got the forward rise engine mount plate I also got from OMB warehouse' I shouldn't have any problems?

    • @TheGrayGoatGarage
      @TheGrayGoatGarage  4 года назад +1

      Hi Jacob,
      I believe the Tillotson uses SAE bolts on the sidecover and crank...but like any Chinese manufactured product, you will need to verify. Make sure the bolts thread all the way in by hand before attempting to install the torque converter. The torque converter kit will have metric bolts so you are covered!
      The riser plate will work on that bike as well.
      Once you have the torque converter mounted, it is critical that you make sure the pulleys are aligned. If not, add some shims to make them perfectly aligned. This is one of the biggest issues with the torque converters and poor performance. We have the shims here www.ombwarehouse.com/3-4-shims-for-torque-converters-and-clutches.html
      Please let me know what I can do to help you. You can always email me at HELP@OMBWarehouse.com

      MegaMoto had their own plate made for their bikes. Not the universal type plate these kits come with

    Isn't there a torque spec for the mounting plate and aren't they a fine thread I believe I've seen before and you shouldn't lapolice be torqued to certain poundage I like your video is informative but you didn't say anything about a jackshaft or anything else like that or why you were going with the bigger chain Sean and so forth so you you could have been a little more add some more information I guess maybe you or not maybe you're learning with the rest of us 2 but all in all it was a good video thank you very much
