Practical Music * Guitar Journey #24 : CAGED * Barred Chords [Fretboard Tutorial]

Wherein we slightly disagree with some things and agree with others for beginners who need a better clue to get started on their next level of achievement.
At the introductory level, the CAGED Fretboard System doesn't really talk about Minor Keys or Inversions and stuff, but while we agree that the CAGED system is maybe not the most comprehensive or easy to play, understanding the fundamentals of what's behind the theory is still useful even if you don't want to use that system entirely without just discounting it without proper investigation.
Everything is upside down and backwards on the computer screen, so hopefully not too hard to follow. Everyone is aware that everything just starts all over at the 12th Fret, right? Maybe we can delve into CAGED Scales some other time, but the diagrams are NOT the same thing as Tablature [TAB] notation which was maybe a lazy attempt to replace musical note sight reading.
