Its so weird they didnt add all these settings automatically for the custom build.

You have node wrangler, press ctrl or cmd + t, and you get auto setup for environment or any texture you want to add
Not in Octane Blender you don't
@@1polygonewithme yes you do, tried it today. Setup a environment texture. Select the texture node and hit cmd +t, youare on a Mac I believe. You also have node wrangler for octane installed. You need to have that texture node selected in order for it to work.
Great clear video and I will give the file a go. On a side note, what you said about a re instal once a year, maybe you could make a video on how you do that too 🙂

Hi! Thanks for the Octane Blender videos! You're one of the few people doing justice in RUclips to this amazing render!
I have one question though. I see you're using Blender 3.6.1. Is it the addon or the custom build version? I use the Free Tier custom build version, and it's still in the Blender 3.5.1 (they haven't updated the Free Tier custom build since May 18th).
I don't know if I'm looking in the wrong path to find a newer Free Tier custom build version, or the people I see using the 3.6.1 are paid costumer/use the addon version. Do you know something about it?

Hey, thanks for everything I've been watching all your videos about using octane in blender. I'm running into an issue constantly where my final render becomes darker than my viewport. After a fresh re-install it works fine for a couple of rounds, but then after messing around with lights and materials something gets de-configured, do you have any idea of how to solve this or what's causing this? Thank you so much
Not sure why that may be happening did you try downloading the setup file I have a gumroad yeah that's an interesting problem I have yet to encounter that issue 🤔🙏🏾

Why octane Shows No net GPUs and When i Change Cube colors from white to other color ..but its still rendering white no changes
Its kinda hidous they use nodes for presets. We could easily make custom preset if they use the proper way for this

well octane is actually not working well on blender 4.0 i've been trying to make a scene on cycles the textures are visible but when i switch to octane i got a foggy white model with bunch of lights everywhere
Hi, just a small doubt. have you ever tried deep output from octane, because when i turn on deep image in pathtracing kernel and render the image, octane only outputs beauty passes but not deep pass. do you have any idea what am i missing.

Beta was hit or miss for me I'll try it later in a few months
A plugin version is in beta? so in future it would be an official add-on instead of standalone blender octane?

It's FREE If you want to run multiple GPU's you have to pay a monthly subscription which can start at $30 and up a month.
