This is my current favorite casserole. Delicious! I got a bottle of sauce from Walmart called herdez taqueria street sauce, Avocado cilantro. I put some on after it’s cooked on my slice and it goes awesome with it. Highly recommend! I also mix the beans on the side with la Victoria red taco sauce. Thanks for introducing me to this recipe!
I recently made this dish and it was outstanding! Thanks so much. I did include corn with the meat layer, then for a couple "sides" with the casserole and the rice, I also had more refried beans and also some guacamole. Awesome meal!

Hi Catherine :) I have a recipe close to this. I heat a can of refried beans, with cumin; spread that on the bottom instead of the sour cream then top with tortillas and filling. My filling is close. I add Rotel tomatoes and the sour cream mixture is - 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup taco bell fire sauce, onion powder, cumin and a teaspoon of chili powder. Yours looks delicious! I'm going to try it. Very good! I went with a couple of suggestions in the comments, and added Rotel to the meat mixture, and changed out the cream of mushroom soup to Fiesta Nacho Cheese. Oh, and I also tore the tortillas into about 1” pieces. I’m really enjoying your channel, just found it in the last month or so.

I have made sooo many of your delicious recipes that I have to share this from one Texas girl to another! I make this but I don't use the mushroom soup or sour cream IN my dish. Instead I use Spanish rice like Uncle Ben's but I put diced tomatoes in it. The rice goes where you put the soup & sour cream. The rice really makes it. I serve with a lil sour cream & guacamole. Thank you for all the fantastic recipes! ❤

Hi Catherine this looks amazing. When I make burrito pie I start out the same with the onions hamburger and seasoning. Then I add a can of refried beans, a can of diced tomatoes and a small can of green peppers or chilies with the juice.. I let it cook down a little and then I start layering with the meat mix tortillas meat mix on top and cheese with dollops of sour cream then finally top it with shredded cheese and bake. It's always been a big hit in my family. It's quite easy and so delicious. You've inspired me to make this for dinner tonight thank you so much.
Delish I add green peppers and black olives to my hamburger and onions and I use chili sauce or enchilada sauce green what ever I have in my pantry. Going to try yours with the cream of mushroom soup and cream of celery soup. Thank you again for another fabulous recipe. 🙏❤🙏❤

I made it a skillet meal. I cut the tortillas put on top the meat. I added soup mixture. Cooked on. Low heat. Added cheese and green chilies. Put lid on it.

When I make burritos I use burrito mix ( not taco ) shredded lettuce, fresh diced tomatoes, salsa, guacamole, fresh diced onions, sour cream, and cheese. It's a fiesta in your mouth.
LOVE BURRITOS!!! They are messy to eat!! This way I can have my burrito & eat it too!!! Only thing I would add is some chopped green pepper to the burger while browning!
I have used lasagna noodles before with left over taco meat. Also use enchilada sauce instead of cream mixture. Put sour cream on when served!!! Delicious
I make Taco Lasagna. I use 1 or 2 lb ground turkey saute with onion and bell peppers. I also add in the taco seasoning and a can ofpartially drained tomatoes. I have a large cast iron skillet that I grease the bottom witha light layer of shortening. Next I cream the refried beans with the tomato juice and water to make a spread. Spread the refried beans on 3 large tortilla shells. They fit perfectly in my cast iron skillet. Lay the first tortilla shell with beans up. Next, spead half the meat mixture, and then sprinkle drained, rinsed black beans, and top with shredded cheese. Second layer repeat tortilla with refried beans, other half meat mixture, black beans, cheese. Third layer is the last tortilla prepped with refried beans. It can be topped with any black beans left and cheese. Cover with foil. Heat through in oven at 350 for20 to 30 minutes. Slice can be serrved with homemade baked tortilla chips and left over refried beans with salsa and other toppings. Yummy! Ours disappears fast.

Rewatching the video. I have a recipe for a vegetarian burrito bowl (think Panchero) that can be heated in the microwave. The ingredients are precooked, assembled, and just heated, topped with salsa and guacamole. Yum.
I would add green chilies in the soup mixture and before serving top with diced Roma tomatoes and sliced scallions and a dollop of sour cream

Keep in oven only long enough for cheese to melt.
I have made this but I usually roll up my burritos, and pour enchilada sauce over them. But I will make yours looks alot easier.
