Just received lenses for my wife's Q3. It took about ten days to receive. They work perfectly, they got her prescription spot on. She was even laying in bed watching Netflix On vr as it's better than glasses and big screen tv.
Ordered for delivery to the UK. Can’t wait. Thanks for the review. Sure it will improve my Q3 experience ❤
Well Dr. Eye you convinced me, I made the purchase with your link so I can contribute to your channel, thanks so much.
Thank you! I hope that you like the lenses!
Just realized how clearer my Quest 3 games looked after using my glasses for the first time. I hated even thinking of wearing glasses with my VR and using it without my glasses seem to work (I nearsighted, can’t see far) with no problem but I tried it last night using my glasses and I can “see” it’s a lot more clearer then without them. With that being said, I had to get these lenses for my Quest 3. Used your code and it save me on the shipping fee. Thanks!
Your previous video really helped me decide and compare between the different lens makers and I went with Reloptix. My lenses arrive Monday. Looking forward to trying them out.
How were your Reloptix lenses?
I'm curious since I ordered from Zenni and got a few days ago. But they were super dirty with some weird blotches, that I can't clean out. Wondering if you got clean lenses, and whether you had any bad surprises?
@@OneRedKraken I just received them recently but have been out of town and haven't had the chance to test yet. I'm planning on testing them after work today. I'll let you know but they look great
@@jonin0001 Awesome! I would really appreicate your honest feedback when you have the chance. I have a feeling my customer experience with Zenni is going to suck. (asking me pictures of tiny 1 to 2 mm stains... lol)
@@OneRedKraken Update, lenses were easy to install and work really well. They looked great right out of the box and really improve my experience with the Quest 3. 80$ well spent IMO
I ended up trying out the Zenni lenses. Mostly since they are a recognized 'vendor' by Meta.
They got my prescription spot on. But I was really surprised at how dirty the lenses were when I got them. One of them even had what looked like a spec of sauce from a lunch or something.
Managed to get rid of all the smudge and that sauce looking thing. But even after a good cleaning. I think there might have been an issue when they applied the anti-reflective coating Beause there's what look like tiny blotches along the outer edge of the lense. I don't want to wipe it like it's my old pair of glasses I don't care about. But even after being rougher than I would have like. The blotches remain.
Contacted their customer service to see if they can do anything about that. I don't care that they were dirty, albeit annoyed, but these blotches cause some pretty distracting reflections when you watch a movie with bright moving scenes. in VR not as much.
Thank you for sharing your experience on here. I think it helps other people decide which lenses to get as well. I'd be curious to hear what they do with your lenses, or if they will replace them with a new pair or not.
If you're presbyopic should you use the reading, intermediate or distant prescription?
Can someone tell me what it means when it says tax included when i saw the vr rock lenses on the vr rock official website
Hi Doc, please do a video on using VR headset after cataract surgery. I am keen on getting the Quest 3, but worry about the possible side effects on my "new eyes".
There really isn't any research or studies that have been done. I don't see any extra problems that you would have though... same issues others need to be aware of.
Thank you for your uploads. They convinced me to order from Reloptix however, I wanted to mention there are extra charges for certain RX's(as of this posting). Depending on your RX ,it may be considered a non-standard order. Specifically a $25 or $50 non-refundable fee for what they consider "Special" or "Experimental" respectively. Understandably, said orders seem to be for quite significant corrections.
Thank you for commenting this. Yes, I put an update on this in the description. I'll put a pinned update in the comments as well. Thank you.
@@DrEyeGuy Thanks! Just ordered. High demand means longer wait so if your on the fence....Get your order in!
Do you recommend Reloptix for Pico 4 too ? really bummed that shipping is $30 in there for me :/ It used to be $70 before though lol
I haven't tried the pico 4, so I wouldn't be able to say anything about the reloptix lenses. But... Reloptix lenses have been awesome every time I have tried them.
I was interested until i saw taxes and shipping at checkout, meh, im still confused which to buy.... At least hons covers everything.
Do most or all companies adjust the distance prescription down to the ideal 4 foot focal range? From the way you describe real optix, I'm guessing they take this calculation into consideration when making the lens, but wondering about others? Thanks
No, it's rare right now to find a company that will do that.
@@DrEyeGuyI’m talking to reloptix now about this. Honsvr just sent my distance prescription and it’s not clear. Maybe because I am 60. Younger people are probably fine with that lol. But I need it adjusted to make image sharper especially for cockpit displays in MSFS. So hoping reloptix can confirm they can adjust give my “add” prescription
What do you think is better for your eyes the oculus quest 2 or the oculus quest 3
I prefer the quest 3. The IPD and lenses is more forgiving, which translates to less eye strain for me. But... I have had a lot of people that report they get more eye strain with the quest 3... so it really depends on the person.
Doctor, I had a little dry eyes, but after I bought a VR my eyes are constantly dry and burning, even taking breaks and all the recommended care. My myopia has increased a lot since I started using VR, but I don't wanna stop using it, Is there anything that can be done? Or will I have to sell my VR? (I'm already using artificial tears)
Maybe try VR lenses with blue light filters? Or use the 'night mode' of your headset. I know some people just have a hard time with screens period. VR is basically two screens shoved in each of your eyeballs. Can't be easy if you're one of those people.
Are you taking your beaks during VR. Are you also wearing correction with VR?
@@DrEyeGuy I'm taking breaks and I use vr with my eyeglasses that have blue light filter but my eyes always get dry after using VR
@@OneRedKraken Yeah, my eyeglasses have blue light filter, I really don't know why I'm having these issues
Dr sir sqnit eyes
Lazey eye surgery or eyeglass what best
It depends on the person, the cause, and the amount.
Does Quest 2 have this same new design?
No, but it's close, but more specific for the quest 2.
I'd be interested in your thoughts on Elon Musk announcing on twitter he's already gotten his brain implant, titled 'blindsight' to give sight to blind apes.
I'm actually planning on doing a video about this... hopefully soon!
Overpriced garbage
I disagree... fully disagree.
1/10, troll harder
@@jonin0001 After shipping cost etc. Zenni lenses are 93 Australian dollars while Reloptix wanted to charge 185 as the cheapest possible option. Whatever minor differences the lenses might have that price gap is ridiculous. 1/10 brown nose harder fanboy.
