    When I purchased my 2022 BMW S1000R I just felt it wasn't quite what it should or could be and so in this upload I share with you the modifications I made to my 2022 S1000R Sport to make it one of the best supernakeds on the market without breaking the bank either. These modifications are tasteful modifications and are how you would hope the BMW S1000R would leave the BMW factory.

    HJR bar end mirrors through Dave Austin in the UK are a worthwhile addition and not overly expensive. Makes a huge difference in aesthetics and ability to see what's behind you.

    Nice but why sell it , you can’t be board if it already ?
    I bought a Ktm 1290 duke evo this year for road and touring , only pinned it couple of times on the road never without safety modes on . Will be taken it to oulton park next week even then will probably run out of straight track very quick . I have a Daytona 675 for short local blasts out and track days .
    The
    BMW 1000r was on my radar but had inline 4 in the past and wanted to try the V twin but still think triple 675 is still my favourite all round . Can fully use all the power .

    hello just went to my dealer to check an s1000r 2023 to replace an mt10 and it vibrates a lot the tank and handle bars. also idling was at 1200rpm oscillating to 1250 not sure if this is normal. my mt10 is smooth and is not new. expected more from bmw. is this normal?

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  8 месяцев назад

      Yep some find this and others don't... its a phenomenon. Me personally don't notice any unusual amount of vibration. I'd recommend maybe trying another bike? Also with idling it has a cold start function after first start. Once the bike is up to temperature that dissapears

  • @Lincolnshire_Lad
    @Lincolnshire_Lad Год назад +1

    Keep up the great content...Did you have any issues with your bike running choppy at low revs after the cold start delete ? ive just been advised by BHP that this is the case,what are your thoughts on this ?,Thanks

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  Год назад +1

      After the cold start delete? As part of the BHP tune they remove the cold start high revs. Also make the bike smoother to ride and more urgent through the mid-range. Picks up power all the way to the top

    • @Lincolnshire_Lad
      @Lincolnshire_Lad Год назад +2

      Yeh apparently if you choose to turn off the cold start option when getting your ecu flashed the bike at very low revs can be choppy,this is what the guys at BHP told me today,have you experienced this with your bike or is it not really noticeable as the bike is excessively choppy at low revs as standard anyway

    • @chriswhitehead1173
      @chriswhitehead1173 4 месяца назад +1

      @@Lincolnshire_Lad I know this is 7mths old but I had mine flashed by them to. Way smoother down low now at slow speeds. All the surging gone.

    Have ridden one as a demo here in Australia, and on the day of the test, about 25c temp the fan would come on after sitting at the red light but took a long time to cool down before the next near red light, did changing the exhaust show any improvement in heat disipation?

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  10 месяцев назад

      You will find most bikes producing this amount of power will shed quite a bit of heat at a standstill and so there isn't much you can do that it just comes with the territory

  • @brrehhh
    @brrehhh Год назад

    Do you absolutely need the tune? or you can run it for a good while without? and how much power are you making with the tune?

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  Год назад

      The tune is recommended especially if you have an exhaust system. It's 169HP at the wheel

  • @richb5248

    I couldn’t buy a bike if I wasn’t completely sold on it’s looks. No matter how powerful, cheap or exclusive and I’m afraid the S1000R just doesn’t do it for me. The mods you’ve done do improve the looks but it’s a shame you felt the need to do it.

      Thanks mate. I installed Black widow headers and Delkevic 200mm Stubbies on my Z1000SX and it was too lairy lol even with the baffles in. I even wrapped the baffles in exhaust wool which helped a little but no.. Installed Delkevic Titanium 343mm cans and it was too quiet 🤦‍♂️ Removed the (Extremely long😂) Baffles today expecting it to be too loud again and do you know what? It's perfect 👌 Sounds quite similar to yours, which is exactly what I was after.
      Great content many thanks 👍😁
