Love your reviews mate, you really make me laugh, lost my lovely dog two weeks ago and you are the first person to put a grin on my face in two weeks, keep it going.
if you want the best burgers. Follow this recipe: Blend one large spanish onion. Add a flat tablespoon of black pepper, garlic powder, salt and a half teaspoon of mild paprika. blend to mix. Then add 500 grams of aberdeen angus mince and blend until it rolls around the blender like dough. take it out and shap into burgers and throw on the bbq or freeze and cook another time.
Next time you get them press them down into the pan to thin them out a little bit and do 5-6 mins each side just turning once like you would with a steak. That’s the method I use and they are pretty much unbeatable when it comes to supermarket burgers
To get the cheese to melt quicker you can add a splash of water into the pan then put the lid on, the water will steam and melt the cheese. Thanks for the video and have a good day mate.
My kitchen blowtorch would melt and brown that cheese instantly. It's one of the best kitchen tools I've purchased. I got it from Lidl during one of their special action weeks.
Fab video as usual bud. I keep looking at the Wagyu burgers and steaks but have avoided so far as I never understood what wagyu beef is!! Gonna give it a go, that burger looked spot on! Love your videos, keep posting them bud!
Looks great Gareth. Loved the review! One thing I do with burgers before cooking is to press a sort of dimple in the middle. Definitely helps to keep their shape. I actually like my burgers a bit pinkish in the middle. My wife has to take mine out of pan or off the griddle a few minutes early.
New to your channel. Love your down to earth reviews. I cook these for my 2 teenage sons. They absolutely love them. The frozen triple cooked beef dripping chips are a great accompaniment to the burgers. As for the bacon, the medallions fit perfectly within the bun. Tip top👍
Gonna have to try these later in the week. You obviously really enjoyed those. As others have suggested on here, The Ultimate Burger with Beef and Bone Marrow are very juicy and tasty too. Might be worth you giving those a review in the near future. Similar packaging, and are stacked next to these in my local Aldi 👍
Try them with the ( Bramwells ) Skeeters smokey chipotle bbq sauce. Picked up a bottle yesterday first time seeing it makes a great bacon sandwich so should be great on a burger :)
I put square sausage or thick burgers in between cling film and roll them with the rolling pin it helps make them fit the roll plus cooks really quickly
Best burgers Aldi do are "The Ultimate Burgers" in similar packaging to these, made with Beef and Bone Marrow, they're absolutely delicious on the BBQ! I've tried many burgers and Aldi's Ultimate ones are definitely my go to, highly recommended!
We loved the Ultimate Brisket Burgers but unfortunately haven't been able to get them for the last few months. We find that this seems to happen with quite a few things at Aldi.
You had me drooling for a good burger - so have added them to my shopping list for this afternoon. Just hope your posting hasn't wiped out stock in my local Aldi...😂
Another brilliant video! Will have to try the. Youu really need to try Webbers food van behind the escape hotel. Full breakfast burritos are amazing and the the burgers topped with beef brisket are something special 😊
Those burgers looked good Gaz. interestingly I've noticed it mentioned a few times on RUclips channels how burgers and sausages etc shrink when cooked is perfectly fine as all meat protein does reduce in size as heat is applied if they where to come out considerably larger after cooking its a dead give away there is little protein in the mix but in fact cheaper ingredients like biscuit meal and others to pack out.
These Wagyu burgers are fantastic. You know ALDI ..Once they’re gone, they’re gone. So if you see them get some for the freezer. I’ve only got one left.
You may not remember, but I told you about these when you tried those frozen ones from Iceland. I have them once a month they are really nice as you found out. It made me smile when I came in from work and see you brandishing a pack of them😊
Great review Gaz they looked the part and nice and juicy and a 9/10 which is great I will have to get some of those a few chills on top would go well, keep up with the great reviews 👏👏👍👍
I can share a tip for the cheese for your burger. I get a takeaway from time to time and the shop I use melt the cheese in a plastic measuring jug in the microwave before pouring it onto the burger and onions. Works a treat as the cheese then begins to set as it cools.
Great video, going to have to try these burgers. How about a Coronation chicken sandwich filler comparison from some supermarkets, seeing as the Coronation is coming up soon?
Eyup Gaz, told ya many moons ago when ya got the frozen ones, bin em. So glad ya finally got the fresh wagyu, worth every penny I'm sure you'll agree. Great review buddy 👊🏻
Wagyu beef does tend to fall apart I've found in the past. I've got a cast iron griddle plate that fits across two of my gas hob burners and I cook them things on there, rather in in oil. I think the word you are looking for is 'streaky' Gaz!!! Looks great, gonna try some of them!!
Another cracking video mate just catching up can’t beat a good burger I had a chicken Big Mac meal for lunch then later a steakhouse 😂can’t beat a good burger spot on mate 😊👍
I cook mine in the grill and put the brioche buns in at the end with the Aldi spicy cheese which is sliced and they’re bloody fantastic few chips on the side happy days!!!!!
Gareth how very dare you say you'll be doing chefs a disservice! We've all seen the way you chop an onion fella! Top notch 🔪 skills 👌🏼 That was an absolutely glorious looking burger! 🍔🤤😍
The rehydrated potato is to add weight. The rice flour is used as a binder. The cost per kilo is £10.26.....I feel as this is important as in the uk pure wagyu mince is about £15 a kilo. Wagyu has a lot of fat in it which is why when making a burger a lot of that fat comes out as oil. If you have a sous vide I would cook them like that and create a crust with a blow torch to contain as much fat as possible. However anyone cooking these at home in a frying pan don't add oil to the pan, they have enough fat in them already. Its better to let these cook in their own oil for flavour as various cooking oils alter taste. I wouldn't flatten them either, wagyu has a distinct taste due to the fat. The more fat you lose the more flavour you lose also. Smash burgers is great for cheaper cuts of beef that rely on the other ingredients more than the actual meat itself.
Another great review pal deffo gonna give these a try also to melt the cheese before u put the lid on splash a bit of water in the pan and it will work a treat also only ring missing from the burger was som pickles
Hmmm thats a good idea. I think maybe they'v added smash (other brands avail) but by adding powdered spuds to the recipe when it cooks the smash soaks up all the goodness rather than it flowing out. so the spud becomes re hydrated through out the cooking proccess
That burger looked delicious gareth! @ £1.75 a burger compared to the one that you had from bk a few weeks ago....i reckon there's no contest! I will be buying some of those this week...😁👍🏻
Will be giving these a try. Maybe a couple of battered onion rings and thin sliced gherkins on top with a slice of streaky bacon.....Fries and coleslaw on the side. Mmmmm.
Hey Gareth I have two in my freezer and will woof them down at weekend. Also, just so you know, they have NEW wagyu steaks in Aldi! Fillet AND sirloin. I also have those in my fridge, not cooked them yet
Nice-looking burger mate, and a lovely healthy garnish, tho Id’ve put the tom slices underneath the patty to prevent slippage, and chilli sauce in place of tomato, but your choice !a nice bit of sauerkraut with some bacon topping would be a meal in itself, but only one burger or I’d be a real fat bar steward!😂
Instead of the tommy sauce and Frenchies try Burger Rellish. They are even better. Had them before and would have them again. Another great video. Cheers.
Great vid as always m8, hope you kept the fat that came off the wagu burgers as that fat is so full of flavour reuse it to cook other things like fried eggs gives them a flavour boost :)
Why are you not using your cast iron pan I've been looking at buying one but what are your thoughts on it would be good to see you cook more things on your cast iron frying pan
Look great, did it mention the wagyu content on the pack or did I miss that bit? Been watching since you started the channel! Have you managed to find a new job since starting the channel as a hobby or still searching
Hi I know you've done the aldi 75p pepperoni pizza I just wondered if you you've tried the asda just essentials 75p pepperoni pizza I'd recommend it to you
Hi mate, I'm having these tonight with Oven Fries. I have bought them before and they are great with Aldi Burger Relish, Cheese Slice, Onion and Tomato. Well worth the money for the quality. Stevie in Fife.
That burger looks gorgeous,I wouldn't add bacon just for me rocket, fresh tomato, cucumber and red onion.maybe mayo .will be trying these thanks Gareth 👍
Not the same ones, but the Angus burgers you can get from Aldi are fantastic.
Yes, I agree
Fresh or frozen?
Fresh or frozen?
@@leonskum.5682 Fresh
Frozen ones are sound too
Love your reviews mate, you really make me laugh, lost my lovely dog two weeks ago and you are the first person to put a grin on my face in two weeks, keep it going.
Thank you
Get a new wee pup, take your mind of it a bit. No replacement, but a bit of a distraction.
A very happy man with his burger!
There was almost a Nigella moment when I thought he wanted to be alone !
Great stuff Gareth👍
Haha 😄
To stop burgers shrinking, press your thumb into the middle of the burger to create a little sort of well - that stops them from shrinking every time
Cheers for the tips

Sounds like the one my man
Nice one pal cheers
Next time you get them press them down into the pan to thin them out a little bit and do 5-6 mins each side just turning once like you would with a steak. That’s the method I use and they are pretty much unbeatable when it comes to supermarket burgers
Yes I did say that in the video lol however I didn't 😂
You don’t turn a steak once. Where’d you hear that, Gordon Ramsey?
@@12345oce haha I find flipping a steak once and not messing with it then resting it properly is the route to the best final product.
@@mikebader3863 lol I flip a steak every 60 seconds until it’s cooked. Anyways, love a steak man. 😎
Am with Mike on this one, flip once
To get the cheese to melt quicker you can add a splash of water into the pan then put the lid on, the water will steam and melt the cheese. Thanks for the video and have a good day mate.

Its also good to keep the burger moist,a little squirt of water under cover or closh is a chef term😂
My kitchen blowtorch would melt and brown that cheese instantly. It's one of the best kitchen tools I've purchased. I got it from Lidl during one of their special action weeks.
Or you can stick under the grill for a few seconds 😀
Fab video as usual bud. I keep looking at the Wagyu burgers and steaks but have avoided so far as I never understood what wagyu beef is!! Gonna give it a go, that burger looked spot on! Love your videos, keep posting them bud!

Not a bad idea. I just put a little bit of weight on them and crank the heat up to crust them nice and even
New to your channel. Love your down to earth reviews. I cook these for my 2 teenage sons. They absolutely love them. The frozen triple cooked beef dripping chips are a great accompaniment to the burgers. As for the bacon, the medallions fit perfectly within the bun. Tip top👍

We’ve been getting these for a year or two now. Really good burgers.
Gonna have to try these later in the week. You obviously really enjoyed those. As others have suggested on here, The Ultimate Burger with Beef and Bone Marrow are very juicy and tasty too. I agree, here in Detroit I get these steakhouse seasoned pub patties and they’re truly great.
You had me drooling for a good burger - so have added them to my shopping list for this afternoon. Just hope your posting hasn't wiped out stock in my local Aldi...😂

Good solid review Gaz - i'll be trying these. Bacon does sounds tempting but how much is too much? Fried egg too? Great cooking skills by the way 😀

Great review again Gaz and such a colorful plate, they look very tasty, 👌xx

Outstanding burglers , have eaten many, outstanding ❤
Nice I like to lightly better the buns then add to a frying pan and toast it that way to get toasty inside bits lol😊
I have a ridged "grill" I cook my burgers on. Love mine rare, to taste the meat.
I also use ketchup and mustard, delicious.

Getting these in this weeks shopping based off this review.
Why are you not using your cast iron pan I've been looking at buying one but what are your thoughts on it would be good to see you cook more things on your cast iron frying pan
Cook steak in it pal. Not used it for a while. Burgers better in non stick pan.
Looks great, Sadly No Aldi near me, only Lidl.
I'm sure the gourmet kitchen ones manage to bind together without potato though and have more meat in them and probably without the sulphites too.
That looks like a tasty burger, its noontime here and now I’m hungry, Thanks for that👍🏻
