Nut, Oat and Soy "Milks" are mostly water and are loaded with extra chemicals and added sugars. Might as well just drink Cow or Goat Milk that doesn't have antibiotics, artificial growth hormones and isn't genetically modified.
I was diagnosed with GP. I am overweight. In 2003 I had a laparoscopic Nissen and ever since I cannot drink carbonated drinks and I can only drink with a straw. When I was a kid I have always had a very hard time being able to eat many different types of foods like many fruits and vegetables. My entire life if I was to eat a salad I would get sick the minute I put it in my mouth let alone if I was to get any of it down? For example, if I have a burger it could only have the bun meat and cheese and no spread of any kind. No mayo etc. If I was to have a tuna fish sandwich it could only be made with butter plane. I have been trying to lose weight but have been having a hard time doing so? I was just put on a medication called Metformin because I was told I was producing too much insulin and that was causing me to gain weight? I hate the food pyramid and even the my plate because they don't address issues like GP and other dietary issues? Because I am legally blind and use a power chair with limited mobility it's hard to read labels and count calories to be healthy and know what will help me lose weight and live healthier? I wish someone could make a video about this issue?
I am sorry to hear you struggling. How are things today? Any better? So, why can't you drink carbonated beverages and why must you only drink from a straw? It sounds like your body is struggling to process certain foods. Have you tried taking organic papaya enzymes or other enzymes? They will help break down hard to digest foods. I hope you are ok, that's a lot to cope with. P.S. I think that most smartphones can be programmed to speak words so you don't have to read them. Try going into your phones settings. Good luck with everything, my friend.

There is no spices and uh... mushrooms on the food pyramid. Also there's no drinks on there. You could've had a V8. There's, no seafood on the pyramid, either. Except fish, but, no crab, lobster, shellfish, muscles (scallops and oysters). and no shrimp.

The secret of good health is to avoid fat and sodium. So naturally a vegan diet is best but also to avoid high fat vegan foods such as avocados, nuts and olives for example.
When I go into a grocery store, I select the processed food items which do not have any animal products among its ingredients, then I look at the nutrition box and select the items which have the lowest fat and sodium content. There is no need to check sugar content as there is absolutely no fat in sugar, so you can have as much added sugar that you like. For my 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day, I purchase a couple large bottles of apple or orange drink, and then all I need to do is have 5 or 6 glasses of orange drink per day to get my servings of fruits and vegetables.
