His speech seems getting much better.
So glad to see him getting better.
🙂🙂
I misss him and Jim Ross together
@@JawsVader1970 We all do. If the Attitude Era was music, JR & The King provided the lyrics.
Why does he have so many health problems now? He never took drugs or had a drop of alcohol his entire life.
@@fast97z24 Old age can do that as can genetics
Yes he never did drugs in he never drank alcohol but I mean we all get old that's how life go @@fast97z24
I really feel for Jerry Lawler, since losing his father at a young age, losing a son (Brian, aka Grandmaster Sexay), having a heart attack and a major stroke are things I'd never wish on anyone. ☹️
Still, his resilience and good humour in spite of all that really does make him a King in my book. 🙂
He never gave a shit about his son
@@AcesPlace22How would you know? Did you work in WWE? Do you know Jerry personally? People like you are the worst. Talk based on shit you heard or read somewhere. Facts you have none.
@@AcesPlace22 On screen, perhaps, but off screen would've been a different story. That being said, there were rumours of Stacy "The Kat" Carter having cheated on Jerry with Brian, but like much of the news coming out of the wrestling business, I took those with a grain of salt. 💡
@@AcesPlace22We ALL sin/make horrible mistakes BUT
ONLY JESUS will have the final word on how we CHOOSE to live our lives;i was personally blessed 2 meet him & get his autograph in my hometown of Omaha (Nebraska) years ago.
Truly,he IS 'The King'😮😊❤!!!
He deserves all his heartache for what he did in 93
He looks and sounds great, considering what he's been through. Truly a legend!
He doesnt sound great
@idkanymore3382 He obviously doesn't sound like he did when he was hanging with Kaufman, but I meant that, considering all he's been through, he does
@@tartsonawire nahnah
@@idkanymore3382let's not forget on top of his stroke, he's also 74 years old.
Jerry lawler and Jim Ross are the voices of my childhood there commentary is still unmatched to this day. Lawlers jokes back in the day actually are funnier today he use to give everyone the business on commentary, miss this guy on commentary 🏆
Puppies
By gawd, he's broken in half!
@@ARedMotorcycle “he’s being beaten like a government mule.”
I'm impressed with how good his speech is, my mom had a stroke 20 years ago and still has speech and cognitive issues.
R.i.p. Grand Master sexy
All Strokes are different ,, my self I have a lot of stumbles with my speech but for the most part I am good ..
He speaks slower and more raspy but he's not stumbling too much. He seems just as sharp as he was.
Each case is different. Depends on the severity, length of time before treatment started, etc.
@@natmason5528 Treatment ?
As a blind child in the 90s, Jr and King were the reasons I was able to fall in love with the sport. It's one of the dreams of my life to be able to say thank you! Plus folks who don't know Jerry as anything other than a broadcaster, do yourself a favor and research. One of the biggest careers of all time!
Lol I love these trolling comments
As a blind child myself, I can agree with this. Absolutely. The 90s was one special time to grow up in. I'm almost 34 now.
The king was one of The Rocks very first rivalries
I've met him several times. He was always super nice to me! Hang in there King 👑❤️
I met him once too and he was great. Good guy.
He was an ass hole to me when I met him in NYC 🤬
I'm only 42 so I missed his heyday in Memphis, but his feud with Bret Hart was a huge part of my childhood. Lawler was so good on the mic and could tell an incredible story in his matches and make things believable. I genuinely thought those two hated each other unlike many other feuds.
Also him and JR were the soundtrack to the best period in WWF history. Much respect for the King, glad to see him doing pretty well after his stroke. 🙏🏻👑
Was literally just thinking of the horse stable kiss my foot match when I saw your comment
@@ShutoStrikerYep and we all know who Jerry had look at his mouth after Bret shoved his disgusting foot in Jerry's mouth....... Dr. ISAAC YANKEM DDS!
Jerry is an EXTREMELY talented artist. He could make some serious coin off of that alone. Always good to have something to fall back on when your wrestling days are over. And he certainly has that down to a T. Glad to see he's doing well.
If he just had a stroke that drawing ability has probably unfortunately dipped a lot.
I would love to have one of his drawings though. He is great.
Four years ago I put my name down for commission piece of $250 and still nothing! And this is way before the stroke. I’m met him multiple times to remind him at conventions and nothing.

Jerry looks and sounds amazing . God Bless you Jerry Lawler ! Thanks for your greatness and sharing it with the world !
Gotta LOVE THE KING! Never knew he not only lost father at such a young age, but buried him on his 19th birthday! I had such a hard time with my father's death, and I was 39! I always felt so weak with how LONG and ROUGH I took my Dad's passing. I always knew he would not approve of me being so depressed.
His son also passed away 5 years ago.
Its was a treat to meet him at Comic con 2 years ago. A got a picture along with his autograph! He loved my Batman returns shirt so obviously he adored Batman. I wish I'd struck a conversation with him about Batman franchise but I had to gather myself with being next to the king!
The fact that he still maintains that sense of humor, and what the French call a certain Je ne sais quois despite that he had his father pass away at the age 19 is incredible.
So good to see him doing so well after the stroke! This dude has probably gone through 7 of his “9 lives”! But he keeps fighting. He’s an absolute legend.
I didn’t know about the stroke before today. I’m glad he’s recovering. One of the all-time greats.
I hope he recovers 100%. I love this dude hes a key part of my childhood.
I doubt that he will.
Jerry Lawler is a Nice Guy, Bless his Heart ❤️ Louisville Kentucky loves Profesional Wrestling!
Thank you, Jerry, for every minute of entertainment you've given me over the years. From a small child sitting cross-legged on the floor watching USWA to a fully grown man-child (lol) watching this video right here. Continue to fight the good fight Mr. Lawler...we all love you!
I've always appreciated how much love he's shown the city. I got to see him against Bill Dundee at a loser leave town match at the coliseum in the 80's but what I really enjoyed was seeing him at studio wrestling when I was 13 in the early 80's. I have much love for Jerry.
Met Jerry a couple of times and went to the coliseum so many Monday nights! He is an amazing person and an amazing wrestler. As a matter of fact he has held more wrestling titles than any other wrestler EVER! We Love you Jerry😊
This man defies the odds every time. Heart attack in 2012 and survives. Stroke earlier this year and survives. He looks and sounds absolutely fantastic.
You did a fantastic job on this interview. Brought tears to my eyes seeing him in the process of recovery.
I never knew he had his own batmobile.Wow , he seems happy.God bless him.👍🏻❤️
me too never knew that
I’ve been a fan of Jerry Lawler since he first came to the WWF. He truly is the GOAT!
He is legend when it comes to a lot of commentary in WWE. My mom had a stroke and lost her voice completely and it took nearly 6 years for her voice to come back. Jerry was a very fortunate to have gotten his back so quickly. Always good to see him up walking around.
I had a stroke a few years back, my speech is still a lot worse than Jerry's at 7 months, glad he seems to be recovering well, luckily he seems to have not lost his cognitive function, I got lucky with that too, all my issues are physical (im still relearning to walk, talk, write, etc, I was on a hospital ward with people that weren't so lucky with that and lost their minds
He sounds good and healthy now. Remember even death came knocking twice at him and he still fought like a champ
yup but glory to God
Jerry Lawler is the greatest legend ever!!!!!!!
King looks and sounds great. We’re all rooting for you, Jerry!
Considering his age and health problems he looks and sounds great
Amen
Sad to see him the way he is now this was the voice of my childhood. Wrestling isn’t the same without him there.
We love you king you're a icon and national treasure. You're voice is the soundtrack of a generation and you made wrestling better in every way one could. Long live the king!
This guy was a huge part of my childhood along with good ol' JR, happy to see him doing well
Keep fighting, King! 👑
This interviewer is an awesome personality.
Best thing is she comes with puppies
Great to see him doing so well!
Jerry is one of my idols, and I am so glad to see he is doing better! Thanks so much for this!
Great to see the King up and at em.
Very inspirational. My mother had a stroke about 2 years ago. Thankfully it didnt take her speech and it didnt cause any issues with her speech or face. But her left side is numb. And she's constantly confused and in a haze and lashes out emotionally. She cant seem to regulate. She can still move her left side, but I dont know If shell ever come back. Even before the stroke, she had a defeatist attitude. And now it's just worst. It's like having a child in the home again now.
My uncle's left side was extremely limited after his stroke. He also seemed to get emotional a little more easily and lost a bit of his mental filter.
Good to see The King recovering from the stroke. There’s not many rasslin’ legends left.
I'm 48 years old . I remember going to the Nashville fairgrounds and watch him wrestle. Tickets at the door was $3 for kids and $6 for adults
I was born in 1965 and my heroes growing up were my grampa, John Wayne, and Jerry "the King" Lawler. Only the King remains. Long live the King!
He is still himself. Great to see!
He’s always seemed like such a sweet, down to earth, humble guy. He made my childhood awesome. ❤
looking good Jerry i know it's hard i had a stroke 23 years ago next week had brain surgery it has affected my left side i don't move as fast as i once did but i'm still here.
It's a miracle he's still with us.
I love the king great memories I’m just so glad he is still here . I’d be very heartbroken whenever he passes
Such a wonderful interview.
If I could sit down and talk for ten minutes with any living wrestler, Jerry Lawler would be on my short list. Not only was he a great worker with decades of stories, he is also one of the best examples of a wrestler who could work as a great face and as a great heel. Many wrestlers could work one very well, but Jerry could do both seemingly effortlessly.
God bless Jerry Lawler !!
so weird not hearing the king all hyped up and excited! All hail the King!
Grew up watching him. So glad to hear him talk.
I grew up listening to and watching Jerry Lawler. 👑
Hearing his voice in this video and knowing what's happened to him since.. makes me so sad. 😢
At least he's still alive like Jim Ross. Unfortunately though, he is not working for the WWE anymore. He is now on the legends contract with the WWE.
My good friend Shaun and I met The King the day before his stroke at The Old Time Comic Book Show in Punta Gorda. Absolutely NO signs of an oncoming medical episode. Talked with him, laughed, took pictures. SO happy he is doing well and that he cares enough about the fans to share his recovery and be out and about on TV.
Thank you King! Lots go love from Switzerland!
love the king!!!! stay healthy
brother
I hope that with how good his speach is that maybe well hear him again someday in commentary
I’ve gotten to meet Jerry a few times. One of the nicest and most humble guys you’ll meet
Jerry, you are truly the King of Cool. Get well soon Brother.
Love ya King, you have given me a lot happy memories of your wrestling career since the 1980s. Glad to see you recovering fast. Happy Holidays King
He sounds like my uncle now.😂💪❤️. Stay strong, King!
Enjoyed lots of stuff from the King, but the Andy Kaufman thing was gold, it's bad Andy's not around to give his side about the whole thing, people still talk about it and it's great Jerry's still around to talk about it. 👍
I love jerry lawler. He used to come to my jr high highschool all the time!!!! Graceland jr high.
He seems to be healing well. So nice to see him talking and walking around! Love ya Jerry!
It's cool seeing people like him have a superhero collection. Makes me feel like I'm in some sort of cool club.
I meet Jerry at comic con in San Diego back in 2008 and he was a really nice guy.
Jerry is a cool guy, and he had the perfect person come to visit the bat cave 💜
Always good to see The King doing well, certainly the voice of my childhood along with JR. Jerry is an entertainer to the core and will never be replicated.
Sooo darn happy to see Jerry looking soo well !!
if and when you are ready jerry,,the wwe and the universe would love to have you back,,,we miss you and god speed on your recovery
Jerry Lawler wrestling has been a part of my life which means you have been to God bless you thank you for everything
We love you Jerry!!!
Met Jerry over a year ago. Super nice guy. I had a Joker watch on and he had a Batman watch on. He said to me yeah, but I bet you dont have a real Batmobile like I do. Nice to see him doing better now. Long live the King!
I met jerry the king lawler at the summit mall many years ago he is a wonderful guy so sorry to hear he had a stroke i hope he's feeling better ❤❤❤
I never knew the King was an artist. This got some tears. Memphis loves the King.
More power to him... From a double stroke survivor 7 months ago at 54yo...
I'd love to see him reunite with Jim Ross one day. The King and Good ol Jim Ross are legends
It’s always good to see The King Jerry Lawler. I’m happy he’s doing well.
Jerry is a living legend. Quite possibly my favorite wrestling rivalry of all time is him & the late Terry Funk. Lawler & Funk sold that so long and they were STILL competing against each other in their 60's & 70's.
Means so much seeing The King, he’s the best.
I am glad to see that Jerry is doing alot better
King of staying young. I have no idea how old he is...70?? He has always looked young
74
Even with the stroke, not in bad shape at all for 74. Still mobile, living on his own and appears relatively healthy overall.
Its sad hearing how he sounds after his stroke, im so glad hes doing better, gave us so many memories in and out of the ring, and on commentary with good ol JR, either he was siding witht he bad guy, screaming in shock, or yelling out "puppies" he always made you laugh. Enjoy life Jerry and im glad you are doing better, live the rest of your life to fullest. We miss you and hope you have an awesome recovery
I'm glad to see your doing better you've been such an inspiration to me for at least 20 years or so long live the king 👑
I hope you carry on to make a full recovery Jerry . God Bless you.
Great segment
I'm glad he's ok I've met him he's really nice.
Shes so caring about jerry
He's a legend I hope he gets well
I met Jerry at Border City Wrestling in 2002. He was a judge in a bikini contest. I saw him as I was walking out to my car. He was nothing Ike his heel character and I told him I loved his Rivalry with Bret. He put his arm around my shoulder for a picture that I have to this day.
Nice to see Jerry 😊I meet him in person . Nice guy.
Awesome video, of the king of professional wrestling. Jerry Lawler.
I loved Jeremy the king lawler when he was commentating with good old jr john Ross.
He is doing really well and his speech is still good and it really nice to see him doing really well and was really nice seeing him on raw
The fans love you or hate you they are the wrestlers family when there on the road and will always wish and pray for you guys to heal, be healthy, and enjoy what you guys do. Thank you❤
Wow! So it turns out I ended up totally misunderstanding what struck him that night at ringside. I thought he had a heart attack, a coronary, like I had once. Not a stroke. At any rate, I'm so glad at how he has reobounded from that trying time he endured. Long live the King!!!
Jerry is the man. I didn’t know about his stroke. Glad to see he is still getting around.
Nothing but love and respect for this man
I actually got lucky enough to share the ring with Mr. Lawler. I ended up getting a piledriver from him lol! He was my childhood hero and still my hero to this day.
Long live the King!
I'm glad he's looking so good after all he's been through. Cheers!
Thank you for posting this, love the King
I've always loved Jerry. He's so funny and sweet. A huge legend ❤
I watched the king since I was a kid He and Bill had some of the best matches of all times at the columne.ThenKing he earned that name. You look good Jerry.
