Your video are really helpful but have a question about company that are coming on campus that has an minimum percentage criteria like of is there are actually good company that are having minimum criteria less than 55%
Hey, while a few companies have minimum percentage criteria, these requirements are typically reasonable, usually around 50-55% in graduation marks. This is also true for CAT eligibility.
Can you suggest me some ideas to handle my anxiety during preparation days. I gave CAT 2023 and got 90 percentile now i am appearing again with a drop year because of bad market conditions and it really stresses me out that i am on drop year. Any Suggestions ?
Heyy, you had decent percentile last time. You just have to focus on your weakness and your scores will improve. So don't panic. As for the drop year, if you feel you can manage it - try doing some certification courses or working at an NGO, etc. This will help you build your CV + you will be able to talk about it during your interviews. Just don't worry too much. If you focus right now, you can score well :))

Hey, you should aim for 99.7+%ile to get a call from IIMC as during the shortlisting phase, engineers and non-engineers are treated equally at IIMC. Maximize your scores, give your best! :))
Is a person with average academic background studying in new iim sure to get final placement?

Hey, your placement would depend on your preparation. But I can assure you that you will get ample of chances to get placed. You just have to prepare well!! Paying off loan wouldn't be an issue. :)

Hey, some companies hire exclusively from BLACKI or ABCL, so the placement numbers per company can vary. It might also happen that the same company is hiring for two different roles or positions from BLACKI and the newer IIMs so your path might become a little longer.

im targeting cat'25 ews category 10th 71% , 12th 81% ,Both CBSE graduation going on bcom 8.3 cgpa in first year and will manage to score 8-9 cgpa in my bachelor, im targeting top b schools like , IIT delhi , iift , FMS, iim udaipur etc they are my first priority and all other new IIMs how kuch percentile should i needed in order to convert this top b schools I really appreciate the reality you showed me I'm aiming to achieve a 99 percentile in CAT 2025 but want to know how much percentile would be sufficient according to my catagory and academics and would love to get your advice on strategies, tips, and methods to reach this goal. Hello Di, ek weird sa doubt hai but puchna chahta hu. suppose student ne education loan le liya 25- 30 lakh ka and by any chance during or after mba koi mishappening ho jati hai student ke sath. To uske loan ka amount kya family ko pay karna padta hai and family agar pay karne ke able nahi ho to us scenario me kya hota hai ? Please batana i know kafi weird doubt hai but being a middle class guy ese bhi thoughts aate hai.
Hello, actually it's a legit doubt. But mostly student loan me koi collateral nahi hota hai so god forbid, if something happens to the student, voh loan null and void ho jaata hai. Isme kuch intricacy ho sakti hai - but mostly family ko pay nahi karna padta.

Hey, honestly if your main is to start a coaching center (not related to CAT/MBA) - then probably an MBA might not be able to help you so much. Rather you can work on building credibility that will help you in setting up your classes. :)

Hey, you can start with basic articles - say LiveMint or TOI which are relatively simpler and then move to The Hindu. Post reading any article, try to summarize it in your own words - it's not important to know each and every word, but you should be able to get the gist of it. And keep practicing, initially the impact might not look significant - but eventually you will witness the improvement. So don't give up, just keep reading as much as you can. :))

I have just started my cat prepration and I have some doubt regarding which certifications should I do during my cat prepration or I just fully focused on cat prepration and percentile to crack top iim and do certifications after cat results.

Hi di , is it possible for me to get old iims especially ABC considering my profile as there is huge dip in my undergrad marks . my profile is class 10(Cbse)- 10 cgpa. Class 12 (cbse) commerce without maths 96.4% . and bcom 69.4% . Also di, one more ques as I have done my undergrad from local university which is not much renowned does it affect my profile ? Di If both undergrad score and undergrad college will impact profile , then please guide me how should I proceed?
Hey, doesn't matter which college have you graduated from but your marks do matter. And you might not be able to get a call from IIMB. However, IIMC and institutes like FMS, focus more on your CAT percentile so prepare well and try to maximize your scores to be on the safe side :))

Been working as a Class 1 Gazetted Officer in my home state Uttrakhand since past 5 years in the Electricity department. Earlier i used to feel really bad & had decided to go for an MBA & quit my job but seeing the current job market & spree of lay offs in pvt sector i became skeptical about going for an MBA from some top tier IIM.... and after watching your & some other videos on life after MBA in consulting & finance domain , I realised that it wont be worth it to quit everything that i have now just for additional 50-60k(my current inhand salary is around 85k). Along with this govt job i was able to live near my home, attend all my family functions & have also been working out since past 3 years. So to just give up all that & leave my parents & home behind for extra 50k doesn't make sense to me now.
Can you tell me whether there is some option for me to pursue an online MBA from BLACKI without quitting my job . I am also interested in finance so planning to clear CFA L1/L2 in future. My ultimate goal is to try entrepreneurship in my home state for which i want to get a grasp of business & finance first before trying something. I had 10k rank in Jee Advance 2014 , missed IIT by a few marks and due to normalization in Jee Mains that year, i ended up in a shitty NIT even after scoring around 200 in Mains & wasting 3 years of my life in Kota... spent all my college life depressed due to this. Money or a fancy lifestyle is not the driving factor for me as i am content with my simple village life here closer to my home & parents. I want to pursue these degrees just to learn stuff, build a base & hopefully build my own venture. So distance learning would be fine i guess.
Earlier i was thinking of pursuing an online MBA from IGNOU....but luckily came across your channel & felt like asking you for your advice.

Unfortunately, you don't have the option of distance learning from BLACKI. However, if your goal is to become an entrepreneur, an MBA might not be essential. It can be helpful, but in my opinion, practical experiences are more valuable. Learn about the field you want to enter, intern at companies or startups to understand the value chain, and try out different things.
The two big benefits of MBA colleges are the network and the brand, which can help you secure funding later on. Everything else can be managed without an MBA. If you feel the pros outweigh the cons, I would recommend pursuing a full-time MBA because an online MBA won't offer the same networking opportunities and brand recognition. Think about it carefully, and let me know eventually what business you start! ;)

Given your profile - you can try to attempt CAT without work-ex as well. But ideally would recommend 1-2 years of work-ex before joining any MBA college, not for the points but solely for the experience you will gain. You can appear for CAT this year just to check where you stand. Many students do that :)

Hey, only your profile matters for IIM admissions. Since IIMC doesn't differentiate between engineers and non-engineers in the shortlisting round, you would need to score 99.3-99.4 percentile to be on the safe side (EWS category). So prepare well :))

Hey, honestly you will have to score very good marks in CAT to average out your previous academic grades. And your calls would totally depend on it. So, give your best while preparing! Also, work-ex can help you get some extra points, so you can decide depending on your current situation and your prep level.
How much so I need to score in cat to get into top 6 iim if if I have 94 percent in 10th,84 percent in 12th and 8.41 cgpa in tier 1 engineering college(but do not have tag factor) with 2+ yoe in software development in a good company?I am from gem category.
Hey, since you are a GEM, you will have to score >99.6/7 %ile to get calls from the top IIMs. The name of your college doesn't matter in MBA selections, but you do have a good academic profile + 2 years of work-ex as well, so you stand a good chance. All the very best!! :))

Create a timetable and set your weekly goals properly (you can refer to my previous videos to understand how you can create one). Keep up your pace, and you'll see results soon. Hey, assuming your aim is IIM ABC, with your profile - you can try to attempt CAT without work-ex as well. You might be at a disadvantage at IIM Bangalore, but apart from that if you score 99.7-99.8%ile - you will likely get calls from all institutes.
Having said that, ideally would recommend 1-2 years of work-ex before joining any MBA college, not for the points but solely for the experience you will gain. You can appear for CAT this year just to check where you stand. Many students do that :)

Hey, totally depends on your CTC break-up. But if your in-hand salary is 50lpa, you would get somewhere between 2.5-2.8L per month!

Heyy, coaching is a very personal choice - if you feel you don't have enough time/ don't want to spend so much/ study at your own pace - you can choose to self-prepare. Honestly evaluate your situation - how much work you need to do and if you would need someone to discipline you/ teach you - and then decide. You can prepare at home and crack CAT - there is enough material available. You can go through my previous videos and as I go along, I will keep curating the resources you can use!
