Hey man I know you probably won't see this, but this song really hit my inspiration gland hard. I picked up a guitar for the first time in a decade, dusted off my pedals and learned the whole song. Really fun to play, man. Thanks for putting your music out there and bringing guitar back into my life
Playing this for the grand final of my school’s music competition. This song is what got me into guitar, and now I’m going back and succeeding with it. Thanks Rob.
Rob Scallon hey rob just in case you see this, I wanted to let you know you've been a huge inspiration for me as I've been playing guitar. I love your melodical skills and your vast skills with so many instruments. Thanks for you videos and keep it up 🎸😄👌🏼
@@CKZEnt To me the song is actually nostalgic because it's been 7-8 years since I heard it the first time. Listening to it now reminds me of those simpler days.
This sounds like the soundtrack that plays in my head whenever I think back to being a Father before my divorce and I can see all the times my children smiled at me. I can see in slow motion them running for the door to wrap around my legs when I’d come inside or when they’d bring me a cool rock or a flower or something. Those happy, precious moments suspended in time that I’ll never get back. Thanks man. I needed to hear this today.
Was getting stressed out at the airport yesterday, with delayed flights, missed connections, and rebooked flights to get home. Stayed calm by playing this in my head over and over. Thanks Rob!

This is one of those songs that just gets you thinking, not about anything in specific, it could be a person you know, how your life is going, or someone you lost. This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard in my life, keep it up Rob!
For some reason this song invokes a feeling of melancholy in me. I imagine this song being played at the funeral of a beloved character in a TV show or when a close family member dies in a movie. I have been thinking a lot about this song and am a little upset to that it isn't more popular. Rob, this is really something else, thank you.
I don't know what it is about rain that I keep listening to it over and over including all the covers with different instruments I love this song I even bought it on iTunes

I remember watching this video on repeat 11 years ago and now RUclips finally brought this channel back to me through the E-Verse and it looks like Robs been doing JUST FINE with this channel. This really makes my day today! Cheers
Me and a friend of mine had started learning music together. I took up the sitar while he chose guitar. It was him who introduced me to Rob Scallon, mainly because of Rob's sitar videos and I was really blown away by that. I started following Rob Scallon's videos and suddenly came across this amazing song. I have tried to recreate it on my sitar (I know it may sound sacrilegious!!). Still it would be great if one day I get to share a moment with Rob Scallon.
I used a digitech digital delay back in the 80s and played stuff similar to this, simple arpeggios letting the delay do all the work. That was before this kid was born of course. I'm old as dirt 63
This song still brings tears to my eyes 7 years later. Reminds me of when I knew nothing about sheet music or music theory and just played piano trying to put notes and rhythms together that felt emotional. So glad for your success Rob.
I remember discovering this in Freshman year and feeling like I've just had my eyes opened to a universe of subtle and gentle emotions I'd yet never encounter before, I knew it all came from the object Rob is holding and how he's playing, and the rest is history

yeah definitely the delay, literally called a rain effect sometimes
yeah because like the delay rain hits multiple times
