  • This episode is part 2 of my overland trip through the Ochoco Mountains with an old friend. The second half proved to be even better than the first.

Really appreciate taking us along your adventures and would love to join on your next trip. I'm also from Oregon and have learned the best way to get out there and explore is with individuals with the right attitude and sense of adventure like yourself. Please let me know if you would not mind guiding me on your next journey? Hope to hear back soon.

I know right?! I was talking with my buddy Josh and although it feels good to get home and recuperate within a day or so I’m ready to head out again. We just returned from the Umatilla Mountains a few days ago and we’re ready to head out again.

The mill at 3 minutes was for the Blue Ridge mercury mine. Looks like you went up Round Mountain. Cheers

The Ochocos seem to have a lot to offer. Casey (Coyote Works channel) originally got me interested in that area. Can't wait to get down there this Fall! Thanks for bringing us along once again.

Casey got me interested in the Ochocos too! There’s so much to explore there and although I’ve been there several times I’ve only scratched the surface. Hope you have a blast this fall Chad!

Love the videos! Have you been over and explored the Blue Mountains much? There's some great scenic backroads in Grant and Baker counties. The drive up to the top of Vinegar Hill off the Middle Fork of the John Day is my all-time favorite and the view from the summit is pretty incredible. I try to get up there every time I make the trip back home to Prairie City.

@@ElGuaposTruckFarm Yep! I noticed there weren’t videos in that region either so decided to check it out. It definitely did not disappoint!

We ran into that same closure on our recent trip to the Ochocos. Totally threw off our plans, but that's the fun part right?

Looks like I need to start heading down to Oregon soon to do some exploring. Know of any good spots around the Crater lake area?

It’s definitely worth coming down here! I haven’t spent much time in the Crater Lake area but it’s definitely a beautiful area and worth checking out.
