You will love the Manix 2 Lightweight in CTS-BD1N. It’s a damn good knife and you can find them for under $150 all day. They are around $120-$140. I’ll send you a link to one. They have fire action, awesome ball barring lock, good blade geometry, good heat treatment and weighs only 3oz! Thanks Fookdoosle! Much appreciated!👊💪
GP Knives has a lightweight Manix 2 in Rex45 in dlc and satin still. Under $150. For satin and around $150. For dlc. Great version. Also screw construction👍🏻
I got the Native 5 Salt in Magnacut, got a black deep carry titanium clip, Rit dyed it dark purple. Out of the box its shaving sharp, extremely slicey, just completely zips through everything you throw at it. With it being Magnacut you can take a stropping board with some compound and get it back to where you want it in less than 3 minutes
Soon I’ll do a in depth hard use test and see how Spyderco’s Magnacut holds up. I have very high expectations to be honest. The Native 5 Salt has been calling my name. I played with one for almost 2 hours at Edgeworks! Haha. Thanks man! Take it easy bud!👊😂🤘

Nice! Mine is on the way. Question: Do you know if all custom scales will fit this model with it having removable hardware? I have some AWT aluminum on my G10 S30v manix2 I will try. AWT and O.Goat both say will not fit LW. I wish I knew for sure so I could get some ordered.
I don’t think they will fit the LW models. OG Scales is currently working on their Manix 2 LW scales. I hope they do a clam shell style in aluminum with a lot of milling. It’s worth a shot to try the AWT scales. Hopefully you get what you’re looking for. Let me know please. Thanks bud!👊💪

@whhitestallion No not the AWT original scales I have. They do make them now for the LW model versions that have the screws.

I’ve been looking at the Para Military 3 LW for a while. I bet they are very good edc knives. The Manix 2 LW is only 3oz so I’m sure those are very light. This is my first Magnacut knife from Spyderco so I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs. Thanks Jerb’s!👊🤘

What other companies are out there that have scales for this LW model? Besides OG. You said there was plenty of company's out there. I don't know of any currently, and have been looking for a while now.

This is a damn good knife. If you’re looking for a budget knife that’s good for corrosion there’s a lot out there. I recommend anything in 14C28N. It’s a solid steel and it has considerably better edge retention than it gets credit for. Take it easy!👊🤘
Got the same exact knife today. I have 3 other Spyderco's but this one is a bit surprising to me to say the least. I was wondering if others noticed an alignment gab between the metal blade near the blade in the middle and the sides of the handle. All other Spyderco's have same height, but this new knife came with a rampant height gap that when i put the thumb in that area i feel the middle of the metal being more in than both sides of the handle not flush. Anyone know if this is normal at this Manix 2 with CPM Magnacut?
I just checked mine. It’s as it should be. The jimping is the only thing that’s not flush but that’s just the nature of the jimping on the Manix. You might have a lemon. That dosent seem right. My Spy27 version is flush just like the Magnacut version.
Hit up Spyderco or who you got it from and let them know what’s going on. I believe it might be something they would swap or refund for you. Hopefully you get that remedied soon.

@@WhatsthePOINT_EDC Contacted Spyderco and after seeing photos sent, they told me to send the knife in for warranty evaluation. The knife is under way there. Hopefully they'll address all those handle issues. Btw, did couple cuts with that knife, and is what i would call it dangerously sharp. Meaning, one small drop of that blade where the fingers would be in the wrong way, and that blade will likely go deep in the fingers. So that's good and bad in the same time :)

I JUST bought one from a dealer on Amazon and the knife action is so stiff you can’t flick it open or close in one motion or with one hand.
You are the 5th person to say this exact thing.
First try to loosen the pivot, & add some KPL or whatever lubricant you have
If that doesn’t work try loosening all the body screws along with the pivot. Last thing I would say it to take it apart and completely clean and lube it tighten it up as needed.
Mine came directly from a trusted knife distributor call Edgeworks Knife & Supply. They have been around for years and are highly reputable. It had perfect action, perfectly centered blade and was as it should be.
It seems like these Amazon dealers are getting defective or possibly fake Spyderco’s.
Watch out when buying ANYTHING from Amazon and eBay. Their profile might say authorized dealer, but it’s can be fabricated easy. Their listed as the actual company and when you click the page you will go to what looks exactly like the real company’s website, page, or manufacturing center. They sell counterfeits that look almost identical but use different steels, locking mechanisms heat treatment and that is only speaking about knives. The most counterfeited items have turned into phones, drones, power tools, & batteries. Trust me I have seen and heard some bad scam transactions.
