TL;DR - Bought a Reverse Hyper and it's way too big #thatswhatshesaid
Brandon Campbell Diamond why not just send it back? I know it's big but I just sent back a Swiss bar for $18. Maybe they'll ship that for $50. As far as the back goes, try static holds on the back extension. That helped enormously for me
David Whitney Training & Nutrition tbh it would be a bigger pain to ship it back. It weighs 250lbs, the original boxes and styrofoam disintegrated so I’d have to buy more. It’s not worth the $100 less I’m selling it for. Plus my buddy who is local wants it so I’m happy to hook him up!
If things fall through with your buddy I'll pay you $350 for it. I'm dead serious I live close, know you're in RI I can grab it in 24hrs. I want it.
At your height how did you fit on it? I am 6’10 and would really like one but am not sure if my feet are going to be scraping the ground?
Biggest cry baby on RUclips
This thing fixed my chronic back within a week. You're hating it because of the space it takes vs what it does - keeps your back healthy and that is super important. Just my take.
TBH my back has felt great the past several years
Brandon Campbell Diamond That's awesome!
@@rockfella27 bro did you buy one? I'm trying to look for one for my low back pain but everyone is expensive and not sure if should spend a bit of money on a good one or cheap one will do, let reply but let us know cuz haha cheers
@@sourhemp3981 I made a make-shift one. It worked for me.

@_• 1 year ago go watch Brad Castleberry and his fake plates then😂😂😂
This thing has completely fixed my back
I do it 3x a week
Nice.
I think it is definitely worth it no matter the space it takes up. Yeah it's huge, but so is the lower back pain relief. I'm back to deadlifting and squatting, where I had been too worried about my back to even think about it before.
How so? I’m curious as to how it has bc my head hurts often and am in the market for new equipment
Really how many times you did it . Can I do it body weight I don’t have this machine in my country
Hassan Junaid just body weight
Anything you can do to exercise a lower back, where your feet are not connected to the ground is a benefit it’s completely reverse to the stress of your body normally has on it. Normally you exercise your back with your feet planted, this evens it out, swinging your feet whether or not on the ground is a back exercise in all ways
I’ll give you 8 bucks for it bro
nah man that is too low.Brandon you got 8.99 from me
lol so generous
ime you’re really gonna do me like that bro? I’ll go with $10 and you pay for the international shipping

Best i can do is $5. Gotta frame it and there's not really a market for it.
Just buy a bigger house..

Brandon Campbell Diamond LOL
He still has so much room in his basement
You can tell Brandon doesn't' have chronic back pain. If he did he'd never make a statement like "I don't care if it's a miracle worker." I'm happy with my Rogue version, even though I agree that it's huge and does literally one thing.
I've dealt with back issues for awhile now, this didn't help.
0:19 You watch videos of yourself lifting as you lift? 😂
Ha I talked about this a bit later in the video, I had the Pandora app going but I thought my training videos would be funny.
Yo dawg I heard you like lifting...
This is how youtubers get more views by viewing there own videos!
are you pretending like you dont watch yourself in the mirror while you lift?

I tried to cancel it as soon as I hit buy, but they wouldn't let me lol.

How is this video over 11 minutes long.
B/c it's a rant, that's typically the case.
RUclips offers more ad revenue for videos that break the 10 min mark.
Those things work really good as a surface to place your belt, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps. The handles work good for drying out a sweaty t shirt. Very useful piece of shit.
Nolen Elam so true... Louis Simmons has done an awesome job promoting all his bs. Saw one of his wordl championship must have been 40 people in the entire meet. Must have been a Canadian to make it a world championship.
Haha the ones I've seen in gyms have always had at least one shaker cup, a phone, and someones old school pen and pad on it.
Brandon Campbell Diamond All that shit I toss off so I can use it.
Yeah they're a waste of money. Back hyperextension or glute ham devices are cheaper and won't actually put your spine into flexion making your back worse. I don't know how anyone's back feels better after using this. Made my back feel worse.
This guy just likes to hear him self talk
3 Blind Mice not really
Looks alpha destiny gonna buy it
And do cheat reps with it LOL
shipping to canada wouldn't be worth it lol
That’s what I love about your channel man - total honesty. I ordered one as well, and looking forward to using it, although not looking forward to the space it’s gonna eat in my garage. Looking forward to some gains though!
Have fun moving those boxes, they're heavy lol. Especially if they're torn open like mine and shit is falling out when you carry them!
Brandon Yes, the boxes were falling apart but thankfully everything was intact. This thing does take up a huge amount of space in my garage, so I’m hoping the strength gains are worth it!
@@markstevenmeneses5919 hey Mark care to give an update? Thinking about adding one to the garage soon
So I have to ask, what made you not want to try the Rogue attachment for the rack? Was the Titan one smaller? Base price is about the same, but you can at least store some stuff under the front of the in-rack setup.
With the rack attachable version the price delivered to me would be about $750, also it attaches to the back of my rack, so I'd have to account for the extra space of the pad and handles, which would put my rack about 3-4 feet further into the center of the room.
Brandon Campbell Diamond Sounds like time to build a pole barn!
“COKE NAILS “ love it Brandon👍🏽😂😂
I also have a lot of buyers remorse 🤦🏽♂️ I’ve been contemplating on a titan weight tree ? But now I will just check OfferUp till I find a rogue one 😉 thanks for the help🧡 the content
Thanks for taking a look!
Thank you! Sorry it didn't work out. Sometimes it is hard to tell without actually trying to go to use it and then realize there was no need for it. I made a mistake with the half rack I bought. Not sure where to sell it besides craigslist :(
What are your thoughts on leg press machine for home? Any recs? Trying to figure out if it is worth it or not?
I'd say look 2nd hand. Facebook, craigslist, and a few other apps for mobile are great for searching
Makin' it rain youtube money on unnecessary equipment. Straight ballin'.
Not my worst investment lol
Can’t tell if you like it or not
lol
Good review and it’s true what you say IF you don’t have back problems. If you have bulging/herniated disc however, it’s definitely worth it (I have the rogue). Every time I use it it’s like an adjustment at the chiropractor so that alone gives me all the reason I need to have it.
But if bought “to increase strength” or whatever other than therapy, yup, not worth it.
That's the thing though too, I know a lot of people who had back issues that bought one and said it either does nothing or made it worse, but then again some swear by it. Interesting how the feedback varies so much.
I want them to make a rack mounted option, would be nice if I ever expand my rack to a T6 size
I looked at rogues but that would make my rack take up even more room :(
Brandon Campbell Diamond overall though probably makes more sense than a full unit like this. Wouldn’t you really just need to have enough space for the handles to clear the wall? Which still is a foot or two I suppose further than what your plates need.
dustinmcd91 i think both the pad and the handles extend out so I’d assume about 4 feet, which would make my rack just out way too much. I think those are best for racks that are open on both ends in a gym
They do make rack mount option.
Try the Henny Attachment. Reverse hyper capability along with many other usages. Attaches to rack with use of barbell
Thanks for the suggestion
I wasn’t clear: do you or do you not want the reverse hyper?
lol
Man, imagine if you would’ve spent a grand on a Rogue one!
Ouch, that would have been harder to swallow
This was very helpful! I had not idea of how much space it takes up.
I knew it would take up a lot, but I guess seeing is believing.
If only it could do more than one thing...
Any thoughts on the Scout? I don't have space for a full size hyper in the garage, but the Scout would be fine. Sounds like I'd only be able to load it for 15-20+ rep sets, but that was more of what I wanted it for anyway.
Have heard good things but I just don't find a RH useful for myself.
So glad I jumped through this video, padded out to get over 10 minutes.
Nah.
I received three Titan boxes in the mail today. The Safety Squat Bar was falling out of the box, but undamaged. The leg curl/extension box was ripped and the piece closest to the tear was covered in rust dust. The H-PND, only one of the two boxes showed up thus far, but it was the only one completed sealed. I don't know what's in the other box. The one that showed up seems heavy enough to have everything. The rack that I ordered from amazon, now 22 days ago, is still not here. It's been sitting on Long Island for 10 days. Maybe they want me to go pick it up. I don't know.
Damn, that doesn't sound like very good luck :(
Thanks brother. Adding to my gym and was considering this thing...you saved me some money.
Any time! Some love it, some hate it. I'd try to get some use with one before making the decision.
Yeah, that thing is huge for a home gym...I thought I remember seeing strength shop with some sort of compact version of it? I could be mistaken though...
But more interestingly, why the hell can't Titan have an intact cardboard box for their shipments?...even little things I have bought from them look like the box came out of an active warzone..is their warehouse like that opening scene in Ace Ventura where he just beats the hell out of the delivery box?
I always know my Titan equipment has arrived when I get to my porch and it looks like a dog has attacked the box
Yeah if they found a way to improve the shipping experience I think you'd see a lot less complaints overall about them.
Would you use the space that this takes up for a GHR? It probably takes up about the same amount but has... 2 functions? I ask cuz I have very limited space and debate the issues this video brings up. Thx again.
I'm definitely not as sure as I was before. I thought I wanted a GHD but am reconsidering.a
If you had to choose one, would you choose the reverse hyper or back hyperextension?
Prob RH, more you can do with it.
I'll come down this weekend and buy it for 300. Im in Boston
Ah already sold!
What’s your thoughts on a frankenhyper design? Still a big footprint but at least it’s a two for one kind of thing. The main downside I see is the massive price tag.
Have heard it does neither thing that well.
I think the GHR/GHD are better options for home gyms because you can do much, much more and is much smaller then an actual reverse hypers.
Prob agree!
I think it's one of those things where you need to have done it before in another gym, really liked it, and then created the home gym, then purchased it. It would probably be easier to buy the back extension rack. The footprint on those is like 24x24"
the one for the back of the rack is much larger than that still and costs $750.
Brandon what's your day-to-day job?
to put it simply, I'm in charge of the training programs for a division of my company.
Jack shit is his answer 😂 lucky duck
I understand that it takes up so much space but my question is what else were you going to do with that space? Just leave it empty or what?
I'm always looking to add/change things down here to make it as efficient and as fun for me as possible. This thing eliminates both.
Damn, I was thinking about buying the X-3 Rack.
You even did a review on it which inspired me to get it.
Have any unchanged thoughts about that?
Also the video all about Titan that you mentioned in the later half of the video, you should release it.
Vent to us bby.
I think the X-3 rack is more functional piece of equipment where as this hyper is not
Thank you for this video, It answered all my questions.
Hah I know a lot of people want to know if a RH works for back rehab, but it's just not worth it to find out IMO
I agree I love it but its one piece and its large, cost wist excellent but I have to be realistic on the whole thing, thanks again man
The back is the most important thing to longevity, it’s worth it.
Hey!!! you showed my Scout in my home gym...Thanks...great for me..but I'm 60 and not a competitive lifter just a garage warrior lifting for fun and health. The Scout has helped with my sciatica and my left hip issues so I'm a fan of the RH
Haha awesome, just the first image to pop up on Google!
What about the scout hyper? A footprint you only have when it's in use.
I still don't find it has much return on using it. Def a better solution for most though.
You said “Unless you want a dining room table” 😂😂😂
Does make a nice place to rest during sets.
Really wish you would have labeled your video accurately. A simple, hey it’s too big would have saved us all some time.
The video title can't get any more accurate.
I’m selling the set of steak knives I just bought because all it does is cut steaks ....
Should prob spend more time thinking of a better analogy lol.
One can never have too many stabby things...
THAT intro made me a subscriber! Already like this dude.
Lol appreciate that.
what you think of the westside scout hyper from rogue? do you think is worth it?
I don't find reverse hypers beneficial
Dude, it is the only thing that brought my back from can't walk to 440 good mornings!... Reverse Hyper 1) who gives a rats ass how big it is 2) it will save your spine and rehab it 3) I trained on the original Simmons Hyper for a coupler of grand plus
No.
Brandon Campbell Diamond but he did . You calling this man a liar ? Did u even give it two months to see if it worked for you ??
@@BasementBrandon Why u being ignorant?
@@solcoster8110 Ignorant insinuates I don't know what I'm talking about lol.
@@BasementBrandon you know what ur talking about, but how do u know that using reverse hyper didn't help that blokes back?
Your massive clock... Is that a countdown timer as well? If so, what brand? Looks neat
It's just a clock with date/time/temp
If it makes you feel any better, I’ve gotten more out of ham and glute work that wasn’t on my reverse hyper than when I did use it heavily. I don’t think you’re missing out on much
Right on, appreciate the insight.
My playlist in the background I need them views! 😂😂😩😩😂😂😂 This guy is awesome
:)
Leaning over a high enough table/surface you can hang your leg from has the same effect?
Could if you can find a way to add resistance either bands or dumbbells.
Hi Brandon, what are your thoughts on the Rogue Donkey? Is it worth the space?
I think if you're looking to combine the two to save some space (it's still huge) and don't mind the $, then it could be a good option.
I bought this exact piece of equipment. I use it 4 days a week. I love it. It is big and I have a pretty small space, but it is also versatile. I do the reverse hypers 3-4 time/week, but I also use it for hamstring curls, rows, and even for calf raises. The quality is pretty high considering the cost, though the welds are generally ugly and the grip tape is peeling on one side. But that said, I have not been disappointed with any purchase Ive made from Titan so far with maybe the exception of their multigrip camber bar. Thats just because it isn’t as versatile as the EliteFTS multigrip camber bar. But it is half the price and it does get used.
I find the RH is 50/50 for most people, in my case it was the bad half.
What digital clock do you have in the background? Does it have a seconds counter?
No it's just displays date, time, and temperature. Got it on Amazon for like $45. Just like to have it there to remind me how long I've been down there lol. It's the AcuRite 75100
Have you sold it yet? I may be intrested if shipping does cost an arm and a leg.
Yep!
I know this is pretty new to me this reverse hyper bench
What's the difference between hyperextension bench ????
Can't you do weight training exercises to mimic the same thing as this machine ???
You can do some similar movements, but not quite the same.
Very brave Brandon to admit your error - I sympathize and had exact same issue with a GHD. In the end, had to let it go - just too much floor space for an item with (comparatively) limited use. Thank you for sharing, you have put any desire I had for a reverse hyper firmly to bed.
This severely curbs my appetite/desire for a GHD now as well.
Thanks for the video, dude. I thought about grabbing one a while back when I was having debilitating low/mid back tightness. I'm now thankful I didn't go that route because, MY GOD, that thing is massive.
Check out the body tempering implements out there. I bought a step child from Rob Heselton who makes them for Donnie, and it completely changed my life. Takes up basically no footprint too, which is great!
Garage Gym Lab live and learn I guess, shoulda went with my gut!
I regret getting one should’ve got a lat pulldown
MY GOD that thing is massive...nuff said
Why would you buy a step child? Just go find a single mother, they are all over the place...
Ok, I get that it isn't practical to take up so much space for a one trick pony. BUT... can you offer suggestions for how to do reverse hypers on other pieces of equipment?
As long as you have a high enough bench, you can use bands around your ankles to simulate.
I've followed you for a while now and seen just about all of your review videos... this one you seem a bit more disappointed and frustrated (whether with yourself for purchasing it or with Titan for being cheap). Would you say this is your #1 biggest regret purchase you've made to date?
Jacob Zomberg tough to say. I’m glad I got this for the price I paid as I always kind of wondered what owning one would be like. However I really questioned buying it during the process so I wish I just trusted my gut.
Not sure if you still have this, if so any chance on a review video now that you've had a chance to use it?
Titan sells an economy version, which is the most I'd be willing to pay for such specialized equipment, but only if it actually improves low back pain. Any insight would help as I have no place nearby I can try this before I buy.
Had it for around 5 months and was using it regularly as part of my programming. That being said, I didn't find it provided enough return to keep, so I sold it at the end of december.
@@BasementBrandon Ok, thanks for the feedback.
Do you know anyone with a good review of the Bells of Steel Reverse Hammer 2.0?
Not off hand, but for all of the combo ones (even the Rogue Donkey), I've heard mixed things on all of them. Mostly jack of all trades, master of none.
@@BasementBrandon So I should probably just go with like five of each in the commercial gym instead of trying to do 5 of the combos. I also asked Garage Gym Reviews but don't really know him. If you know him, see if he has done any of the combo machines. All I can find are the videos BoS did on their own machines.
@@BasementBrandon Found this one on the Donkey: ruclips.net/video/S-9fM0-4BDM/видео.html Looks like it weighs 500 lbs. Should be good for the commercial gym. I'll have to find one and test it out maybe.
Brandon what did you put on your ceiling to cover the insulation?
Think it was just some vapor barrier I got off Amazon or from Home Depot.
Brandon u ever planning on going to jujis gym or would you go if he they payed for your travel
TBH I don't think I'm a big enough draw these days for others to want me.
So all and all are you happy with your reverse hyper ?
lol
Worked wonders for my back and hips, I warm up on a reverse hypers just to lift
nice.
Brandon, can you please tell me where you got that Miller Lift poster? It has a special meaning to me.

Brandon Campbell Diamond Thank you so much!
TL;DR, just kept wondering.. where did you get that digital clock?
MrJBlich on amazon. AcuRite 75100 Large Digital Clock
Hey Brandon! Thanks for the review! I wonder what's up with all these people getting all angry with your opinion 🙄
People tend to get mad when someone doesn't share the same point of view.
I used to have one from strengthshop (I live in the Netherlands) for a short while. It has pins for plates so I also used it for plate storage. The rack I had then did not have plate storage pins. I had to move my home gym and it just took up too much room. I bought it used and sold it for more than I bought it so no worries for me.
Right on!
Why does it look like you're standing in front of a green screen? Are you standing in front of a green screen?
lol no, just my basement and a shallow depth of field.
After years of watching your videos I never thought I'd see the day you turned down something because "it was too big"
Must be getting old
All I heard in this video was...my wife made me get rid of my "reverse hyper"...jk!
lol
Reverse hyper is mandatory! Helps build huge deadlifts. You don’t seem like a serious enough lifter to own one anyway.
Yeah ok lol
he deadlifts more than you
Love your videos
Thanks man!
Never having bought a piece of gym equipment, based of his brief description of Titan and their shipping quality and actual product quality, why do people still buy from them? Is it purely price based?
Yep!
Brandon Campbell Diamond what happened to the buy cheap by twice rule? Would have thought a home gym is a lifetime investment, may as well pay to have be last a lifetime
In this instance it's more of how big of a difference it was in price. I wouldn't have bought a new one from Rogue, the lower price point here was enough to sway me.
Brandon Campbell Diamond and instant buyers remorse it seems, love your content btw
Have you got your own RUclips channel on in the background? 😂
I used it for a joke in the video
Two days ago the gym where I go picked up this contraption called a Booty Builder hip thrust machine. Even in a large gym it takes up a big chunk of floor space. I guess it makes sense, because hip thrusts have become extremely popular among girls, as the exercise builds their rear ends.
Like the one brett contreras sells?
Thank you. Just saved me $600. I got caught up in the hype and considering it! I love you channel. 100%
I know times are weird right now but if you get a chance, always try before you buy this thing!
Did you ever consider the rouge hyper that’s a rack attachment?
JasonLeeno costs $750 and would make me move my rack out to the center of the room another 3-4 feet
Brandon Campbell Diamond damn...
With my limited floor space, I could only get one large item and decided to go with a Rogue Abram 2.0 GHD. It’s a lot more versatile and still has a smaller footprint than the reverse hyper.
Right on! I'm having second thoughts about adding a GHD now b/c of this lol
have you thought about the rogue reserve hyper that attaches to ur power rack?
Would be much more expensive ($750) and still take up a ton of room.
I signed up at a gym because it has a Rogue Reverse Hyper. And I never use it. I find that safety-bar "good mornings" rehabilitate my lower back much more effectively.
Nice!
Have been debating getting a reverse hyper for like 6 months. Never pulled the trigger on it bc I didnt want to have buyer's remorse for your exact reasons. Worth the review. Not ever going to order one. 👍🏻
Yeah I can't believe I went against my better judgement, live and learn I guess!
lol that rant was funny. Did you end up selling it ?
Took a long time, no one wanted it.
Bought some safety arms for my 40 dollar cap barbell squat stand. They’re fine but there was a lot of loose powder coat inside the box... for 60 the spotters arms are great
Right on!
Haha like the thumbnail. This could be any Guzman, nick wright or max thumbnail
Brian Rogers learned from the best!
Our reverse hyper is one of the least used pieces of equipment at Massenomics Gym. It was popular when new (just like anything new)... but the use of the reverse hyper really dropped off... there’s a few people that still use it, but it’s mostly a water bottle table now.
haha yeah haven't seen one in a gym that didn't have a few shakers/phones on it!
I love that thing. Its a lot better than the one I made out of wood in my basement...
Because they are sheeple. Streng comes from your core and core is much more than a six pack.
Masseconomics....same thing I've seen at every gym that has had one. Even the people that were diehard fans after a short period of time never use it
I bought into the hype and tried despite it being a total waste many many times.
I dont think the portable cant handle more weight. But I also think this is lame because even though its big, it doesnt have the tilt function.
True
This is a hit piece. I have this machine and it's extremely high quality. The shipping and packaging was perfect and it was easy to assemble.
Nah it's the issue with RH. Some love them, some find they do nothing.
Brandon Campbell Diamond you obviously just don’t know how to do them
@@BasementBrandon so why not actually give the equipment more than 2 days of use and make a video of your experience with it? You bashed a product because you basement is small.. looking for clicks made you look dumb..
@@joshsulli4875 I owned it for 6 months and still feel the same.
Thinking of selling my Titan Economy Reverse Hyper. This thing is plenty big and strong can handle anything I'm certain, but not sure I see anymore benefit over the roman chair and quite possibly more back aggravation. Mine arrived from Titan in quite pristine packaging. Welds were ok/fine, but that's chinese welding as a whole...
Yeah I really find it hit or miss. For those it misses for it just eats up too much space.
You only had it for two days?? How about using it for a month and see how your body responds to it
I had it for 6 months.
I have Titans sitting calve raise machine. It came intact, nothing damaged and was put together with ease. The only things I have found with this particular equipment was the Olympic plate bar extensions are junk and the weight lift is greater than what I was doing with a smith machine. So to conclude, I like the sitting calve raise but will pass up the economic hyper machine. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback!
I have 2 of them and yes they are large but my back is so much stronger from them. I notice when my reps and strength are up with the rev hyper like 20-25 with 500lbs my squat and DL are the highest. Not to mention the restoration I get from them. Sorry to see you had to sell. Its a wonderful machine. But I do know space is important. I started in my garage and worked up to a 1700 sq ft warehouse
It's one of those things I've found that either is a god send, or a paperweight.
The own video in the background for views comment , love it man haha
Glad you got the joke, people think I actually sit and play my videos while I train lol
I got the x2 cage and their high/low pully system. The cable was fed up but I got a jaguar strut that was just jammed into the same box as the cage. Customer service was great for the cable and sold the car part on ebay.
Right on
I have had Rogue boxes arrive with parts hanging out of the box. Really ticks me off.
Sorry to hear!
Didn't you do an ig poll about if u should buy this?? I voted no, jusss saying 🤣
mgarozzoSMG you were in the minority 😂
Brandon Campbell Diamond hahahaha you got a Glute ham raise or nawh?
