Good job recognising the sing-along version of We Are. The second time you heard it is the occasion where the main crew were the ones to sing the iconic theme. Yeah laughs in One Piece are crazy. There’s even a couple compilation videos of character laughs because of how wacky and unique they can get lmaoo. As soon as you said you heard that someone laughed like “Worororo” I instantly knew who you were talking about 💀
One Piece is probably one of the only anime where you can write a characters' laugh phonetically and know who that character is. Shi shi shi shi vs Kishi shi shi vs Wo ro ro ro vs Fu fu fu fu. It's ridiculous but amazing.
The last opening is my favorite. It's a type of song that you need to listen to many times so you can understand what the singer says also the visuals are kinda distracted so if you see it for the first time you are kinda more focused to the visual more instead of the song anyway amazing reaction, definitely recommend watching one piece
Man, One Piece is such a wild ride, would highly recommend it. In regards to your filler question, I'd say Naruto definitely still has way more filler, Naruto went kinda crazy with it, but there is still some here. There's some people online who have come up with the best way to watch the One Piece anime that skips all the filler, called One Pace. It'll tell you what episodes to watch and skip and such if you just want a better paced experience that is closer to the original Manga. Although some of the filler in One Piece is pretty good too. In fact there is one filler arc that fans enjoy so much that many forget it wasn't actually in the manga, it fits that well. So up to you on how you'd like to go about it! As for your "Luffy is like a Goku" question, they are pretty similar, but with a couple key differences. Both are carefree goofballs that enjoy a good challenge and adventure, and know when to get serious, and LOVE food lol....but I think the main difference is Luffy is a bit more heartfelt. Goku wants to fight strong opponents and always improve, Luffy wants to become King of the Pirates, but their goals take different priorities compared to their priority to the people around them. I forget who, but a youtuber I watched put it perfectly. "If you told Goku to choose between fighting the greatest fight of his life, but never seeing his loved ones again, he would really have to think about it. But if you told Luffy to give up being King of the Pirates or never see his friends again, he would give his dream up in a heartbeat for their wellbeing." Luffy has ALWAYS been about achieving his goal, but he is ADAMANT that he cannot do it alone, and doesn't want to either.
Honestly, a lot of the filler is pretty good for what it is, so I'd suggest just skipping the filler arcs only and rolling with the rest. (One Pace also has issues when it comes to jarring cuts and removing parts of the anime that enhanced the scenes and characters since it only sticks to what the manga had. Some of the 'filler' is great for something that is watched vs read because you can read a lot faster than you can watch something and getting a refresh on emotional parts when they're about to happen really builds the drama up better.) Also, Naruto has about 40% filler while One Piece is less than 10%.
Quite a few of the openings contain animations that have nothing to do with the story during that time period. Instead, they show animated aspects of color spreads drawn by the manga author and similar types of scenes, which are almost always about being silly and having fun. (In case it isn't obvious by now yet, the main characters of this show tend to become a second family to those who enjoy One Piece, so these color spreads are very beloved and always looked forward to. Sometimes they contain hints towards the greater world of One Piece too, but no matter what, it is always a glorious look into the brain of one of the greatest storytellers of our generation and probably all time.)
The first intro means a lot of those child growing up wanted to stretch their arms for 1 kilometer. I dont watch One Piece but I know that song. That means it's more than just a song. It's one of those song that made people's childhood.
17:21 I love how in that opening it shows all the places they have been in opening with the crew nowhere to be seen, but then the guy with 3 swords is in one of the panels (the guy with the 3 swords has a gag of him getting lost every time)
The character development is really good watching the MC become a better leader is awesome that's probably the funnest thing for me is watching him become a better leader he is my favorite character so it makes sense
This is actually the good time to start watching One Piece. You don't want be that guy who got spoiled by the ending just before watching it. Not knowing what One Piece is is the reason why we keep on watching.
Thank you I didn't realize I needed some wine right now. I had to pause & grab my stemless wine glass to match. edit: "Enemy" is too finite of a word for one piece, it really depends on whats going on, if a person is your "opponent" or "ally" You will not only find out who every character is, but you will learn their backstory & grow attached to everything as they will never be a nobody you will forget in 1000+ chapters
As someone who’s caught up with the anime and manga this video made me so happy to watch, if you thought the openings were fire 🔥 the show is even better, all the emotions, twists, it’s a hell of an adventure and so worth the time. This made me nostalgic to how I felt when I first experienced these openings and even more excited to see how you react to the events that transpire during them!
Talking about laughs, You have witnessed one in the openings itself lol. When they started talking in one of the openings I guess it's opening 17, blackbeard goes "Zehahahahha" which is instead of "hahahah" which is his signature laugh. everyone has their own.
• 50:00 Opening 23 Dreamin' On • 13:19 The bar that you see is because this is the Square TV from the 90's to the early 2000's, Not the flat screen tv. What you seeing from OP 1 - 6 is them stretch the video. • 20:26 Too soon 😅 • 25:38 From the Seagulls to Discord to Naruto... Every one knows that reactors need to talk to prevent copyright. This ain't our first rodeo. We've watched reaction hundred times already. Aren't this a One Piece reaction. The topic about seagull were stretch for a good 20 second which a lot more stuff to be react is missed then the comparison to Naruto is stretch, then the discord... A good 3 minutes and what about the Opening itself? Just 7 words 26:28 before continuing babbling... • 30:25 Nope. Not early 2000's The manga is 1997 and the anime is 1999. • 43:51 I think there's this innovative invention called the pause button? Go clear your pipe then come back? • Conclusion the First half of the reaction is good but the second half got to much "noise" and distraction. *Hopefully you'll take this as a building criticism*
I do agree with you on 26:28 because it's my favorite intro and was looking forward to seeing his thoughts, but he kept carrying on about Naruto and Discord 😂 I do appreciate these reactors more than people who just stare and say nothing, though.

One thing i really like about One Piece, is that all guys that you see in openings, i mean, the group with Luffy, all are main characters. Luffy of course is the protagonist, but everyone there also too, everyone has they own story, they own fights, they own problems, etc. That's why One Piece for me is one of the best anime of all time.
By thw way, the Intro at minute 52:30 was only shown on one episode and it's a remake of the 1st Intro with The characters as we see them nowadays episode. It's a 1000 Episode celebration.
Back when I started the series almost 12 years ago I would watch all the openings over and over. I’d try to guess who all the new characters are and wonder what would come next. It’s a truly one of a kind story that’s so special to so many people and I guarantee you won’t retreat watching it!
I think last openings one of my favorites cause the music being so soft and lighthearted over such intense images really goes with the themes and feel of the show.
29:07 Oh, trust me. There is. Especially when character backstories can range from "Well thats depressing", to "Gloom, despai, and agony on me", to finally "HOW ARE YOU EVEN ABLE TO FUNCTION?!"
I was late on the one piece train, I started watching after someone sent me a clip of Over the Top and the combination of the animation and song hooked me immediately. I’m only on whole cake island now but I think I have to say opening 1 is probably one of my all time favorite anime openings. Every time I hear it I think about the whole journey of one piece. The years and years of writing and world building. All the character growth. The islands and stories that all led to now. Luffy used to just be some nobody with no crew no boat and no power and now he has a grand crew and his journey to being pirate king seems to be coming to an end. One piece is phenomenal.
imagine how nostalgic is is to fans who listened it first when they were like 10 years old watching saturday cartoons, and now they are 35 years old proably with his kids watching the lates chapter every week
How do you mistake stretchy arms for 'possibly just the animation style' when you've seen multiple full-body shots of him stretching his arm(s) out to punch or grab something far away?
The intro of the episodes is longer because unlike other anime, the anime of One Piece has removed all the endings The endings of One Piece were used at the beginning as a publicity aid to show their product when it was on TV but as it stopped suddenly they decided to remove them and make the opening longer and added an introduction to each episode
Regarding animation styles... there are roughly three distinct eras of animation. The old-fashioned SD 4:3 animation, then the HD style that stayed for the longest time (which marked the switch into full digital production), and most recently what I'll call the 'dynamic' style to not give away plot points and the sort, which adopts the style from the recent Dragonball movie with fatter lines and more flashy effects. There's probably been over a hundred directors for episodes at this point (nevermind the countless animators!) so the styles have definitely fluctuated and changed over time within these eras too: you can really tell when they first experimented with CGI for certain shots. Were you to look on reddit, you can find tons of posts where people identify and compare the styles of different directors. In regards to animation quality... it is a cluster fuck. First animation era? No complaints; it was on par with its era. The second one? It starts out really strong, and I'd consider it to reach its peak in the arc with the skeletons appearance. From there onwards, the animators clearly treated the IP as a cash cow that couldn't fail, and for nearly a decade took decisions that have dissuaded me from wanting to own the entire series on Bluray: the best talents were put onto some of their other shows, most of the animation gets lackluster if not outright sad, and only certain highlight moments visibly got 'love' since you'd literally see the quality go from 1 to 100 in the blink of an eye. Eventually the quality finally began to improve again (I guess they scraped the barrel to the max) and it became somewhat alright again which eventually culminated in them taking on the producer of the Dragonball movie I mentioned above, who decided to change over the entire pipeline for the new animation era to improve their productivity. (Which got punished hard just a few episodes in when the studio got hacked and lost several weeks of work that they had to re-do, leaving us without episodes for a little while, but I digress...) While I can't say I entirely love the new style and it has also had a number of complaints, it is overall a huge improvement and brings it back in line with the expectations of a modern audience. But they also got some really talented directors to work on the show again, and that is perhaps the biggest game changer. Which brings me to pacing.... It is a love-hate relationship. Early on, the show tried to animate the so-called cover-stories, which are stories told on the front pages of several chapters and offer unique insights into the One Piece world. However, this was ill-received by the viewers of the (then fledgling) anime and hasn't really been repeated since. After that, it occasionally did a filler arc here and there, which was ideal since the set up of the story allowed greatly for it. However, at some point about 250 episodes in, the anime caught up with the manga and was forced to slow down in tandem as the story itself began to have arcs that lasted literal years, leaving no time for convenient filler arcs visiting random story islands. To those who know the manga in particular, the pacing became killer, but in general, you can expect a lot of slow shots and time spent running from A to B. Sure, the manga also had a bit too much of that at points, but the anime turned it into a huge problem. And remember what I said about the drop in quality? That roughly started at episode 400, and depending on your exact cut-off, probably ends somewhere in the 600s or 700s. This does not mean the anime was completely trash (at least their policies still did a bit of justice to the highlights) but since One Piece is so much more than just the fights, I do consider it the worst era for the show. The pacing hasn't changed to this day, but thankfully the modern directors are doing what the first few generations of directors did best, which is to extrapolate on the personalities of the crew to add natural filler that does not feel out of place for them, so it actually feels okay again. Since you can binge as you wish, you will probably not feel the pacing pain nearly as much as weekly viewers, but you will definitely notice it. There is no way to hide how episodes covering multiple chapters eventually turned into episodes covering a couple of pages: things just slow down too much, especially with the huge scope of the modern One Piece story.
Fun fact the creator of One Piece and the creator of Naruto are actually pretty close. And they've actually done crossover artwork, four example Oda ( creator of One Piece) did a cover art that shows Luffy and Naruto eating at a restaurant together. Also Oda was heavily inspired by Dragon Ball while creating the characters and story of One Piece.
32:58 How you not realize that after so many opening? they literally said his name is BROOK. 😅 people really need to ask the reactor to pay attention on the crews..
one piece is my #1 and i've watched all of naruto, naruto shippuden (twice on both) + at least 50 episodes of boruto, maybe 130 episodes? i forgot. and i've watched all of gintama too (that's my #2)
I think a lot of people got realy sick of the fillers in Naruto.(To simplify it) The manga ended what was it 2014. And they still gave us over a year of fillers just so they can end it in exactly 500 episodes.
Was a fun watch, always a joy when the reactor truely engages with what is happening. My top 5 favorite openings are 21, 5, 13, 14, and 20. Always fun to watch people get confused by Chopper and Brook lol.
I admit OP doesn't have fire openings like other anime, but its plot is great. About OP and Naruto. In my opinion, when you watch each episode of the OP, you can feel it's a bit slow than Naruto, but if you evaluate each arc as a whole, then Naruto it's not as good as OP. The pacing of each episode is Naruto's better than OP, but overall, OP is legendary.
man hearing old opening makes me so nostalgic. and yea one piece has different unique laugh example like that guy in white mustache Sound Gurarararara and what 42:30 bro that song was FIRE AF
to answer your question at 39:03 yes. you will learn the names, connections, and stories of thousands of characters in this show. some you'll love with your whole heart, and some you'll despise with every inch of your being. you'll feel pretty much every emotion under the sun while watching this show and that's only within the first 500 episodes. i'll do my due diligence and join the horde telling you the same thing: watching this show will change your life, and the community is here to guide you along every single step of the way while you journey through the world of One Piece

I've been watching anime for 26 years. I was a fan of Naruto back in its day, but comparing it to One Piece isn't fair. It's like asking a talented high school football team to play the Super Bowl champs. One Piece is not just my favorite anime, it's my favorite long-form story, period. Of any genre or medium. If you ever have a choice between One Piece and literally anything else (except maybe Star Wars), always pick One Piece.

Some of the 'filler' is great for something that is watched vs read because you can read a lot faster than you can watch something and getting a refresh on emotional parts when they're about to happen really builds the drama up better.)
Also, Naruto has about 40% filler while One Piece is less than 10%.
HOLY FUCK after op 12 man did not stop talking lmao...HE JUST KEPT GOING 😂
Fr bro
"i think that this anime is like a journey" is crazy that people can realize that just by seeing the openings.. It is a journey my friend
Reactions are interesting but talking during openings and missing the most important things really pissed me off xD
Sometimes they contain hints towards the greater world of One Piece too, but no matter what, it is always a glorious look into the brain of one of the greatest storytellers of our generation and probably all time.)
my favorite has to be "we are", the first one. It just fits the show so perfectly.
The first intro means a lot of those child growing up wanted to stretch their arms for 1 kilometer. I dont watch One Piece but I know that song. That means it's more than just a song. It's one of those song that made people's childhood.
The main cast is the entirety of the Straw Hat Pirates, led by Captain Monkey D. Luffy. But Luffy is the MC of the whole show.
17:21
I love how in that opening it shows all the places they have been in opening with the crew nowhere to be seen, but then the guy with 3 swords is in one of the panels
(the guy with the 3 swords has a gag of him getting lost every time)
The character development is really good watching the MC become a better leader is awesome that's probably the funnest thing for me is watching him become a better leader he is my favorite character so it makes sense
This is actually the good time to start watching One Piece. You don't want be that guy who got spoiled by the ending just before watching it. Not knowing what One Piece is is the reason why we keep on watching.
I agree - this is probably the perfect time to start watching One Piece.
Add the fact that the revelation of what the One Piece is will be huge to the point that it will be hard to avoid spoilers.
Thank you I didn't realize I needed some wine right now. I had to pause & grab my stemless wine glass to match.
edit: "Enemy" is too finite of a word for one piece, it really depends on whats going on, if a person is your "opponent" or "ally"
You will not only find out who every character is, but you will learn their backstory & grow attached to everything as they will never be a nobody you will forget in 1000+ chapters
Strawhat is on logo of OP, strawhat is on their pirate flag, there is a dude with the strawhat. HMMMMM WHO IS THE MAIN CHARACTER I WONDER
The one that was most recently remade “we are” intro is played again for the 1000th episode for nostalgia
the reason they reused the first opening there towards the end is because it is a special opening for episode1000 with updated visuals
Talking about laughs, You have witnessed one in the openings itself lol.
When they started talking in one of the openings I guess it's opening 17, blackbeard goes "Zehahahahha" which is instead of "hahahah" which is his signature laugh. everyone has their own.
• 50:00 Opening 23 Dreamin' On
• 13:19 The bar that you see is because this is the Square TV from the 90's to the early 2000's, Not the flat screen tv. What you seeing from OP 1 - 6 is them stretch the video.
• 20:26 Too soon 😅
• 25:38 From the Seagulls to Discord to Naruto...
*Hopefully you'll take this as a building criticism*
actually Opening 6 was the first one with 16/9 ratio but since it came out in 2004, a lot of episodes were recorded in 4/3 by people.
I do agree with you on 26:28 because it's my favorite intro and was looking forward to seeing his thoughts, but he kept carrying on about Naruto and Discord 😂
I do appreciate these reactors more than people who just stare and say nothing, though.

First reaction I've seen where they noticed AND figured out the difference between the first 2 instances of We Are! Well done xD
Getting chills with an opening 23 and almost the update one, that's when you know that anime is sickly good!
the first time the first opening showed up again it was the voice actors of the crew singing
By thw way, the Intro at minute 52:30 was only shown on one episode and it's a remake of the 1st Intro with The characters as we see them nowadays episode. It's a 1000 Episode celebration.
51:00 Is called Dreamin On, you can find it on Spotify, and RUclips.
Back when I started the series almost 12 years ago I would watch all the openings over and over. I’d try to guess who all the new characters are and wonder what would come next. It’s a truly one of a kind story that’s so special to so many people and I guarantee you won’t retreat watching it!
All these openings bring back so many memories. It makes me sad that many of us might not be able to see the end of this beautiful show
Don’t let these openings fool you this anime can get emotional
I think last openings one of my favorites cause the music being so soft and lighthearted over such intense images really goes with the themes and feel of the show.
The show is heart-touching in both good and bad ways alike. Bring tissues.
29:07 Oh, trust me. There is. Especially when character backstories can range from "Well thats depressing", to "Gloom, despai, and agony on me", to finally "HOW ARE YOU EVEN ABLE TO FUNCTION?!"
Funny. I love the same intro you did near the end but I also loved the last intro. For fans who have been fans for a long time... it just hits man.
Btw the second last opening was the reanimated version of the first to celebrate 1k episodes.
I get my nostalgia kicks on these by listening to blind intro reactions while I do chores
How do you mistake stretchy arms for 'possibly just the animation style' when you've seen multiple full-body shots of him stretching his arm(s) out to punch or grab something far away?
He seems to know a lot about the show but pretends he doesn’t that’s why he’s asking dumb questions like who the main character is 😂
Dude's half-asleep in this video I guess, lol.
I really love how people keep misunderstood that Shanks was Luffy's father
8:50 man actually talking about Naruto during the best part.... don't make me rage dislike man
when you see luffy younger is because it's post arc it's memorry to uderstand well arc before
The opening at 51:52 is DREAMIN ON by Da-iCE
I would love for you to watch it! Don’t get dismayed by the number of episodes, enjoy the journey. There’s so much to one piece you’ll love it 😁
Opening 14 kills you inside if you watch it 11 years later when you are at the current episodes
45:00 you're right on the money with the pronunciation there, it is pronounced as loo-fy or roo-fy 😁
The intro of the episodes is longer because unlike other anime, the anime of One Piece has removed all the endings
The endings of One Piece were used at the beginning as a publicity aid to show their product when it was on TV but as it stopped suddenly they decided to remove them and make the opening longer and added an introduction to each episode
19:27 is the ship flying ?!
Your reaction was hilarious
13:55 that was the first opening song but sang by the main casts.
43:15 NO ITS A BETRAYAL ARC.
oda probably wrote down the ending of one piece if he died before it ended LOL
Dragon Ball Super Broly came out later then the 1st episode of the Wano arc so it was DBSB that copied the style of One Piece.
@@az639 Factually wrong. DBS:B released December 14, 2018 in Japan. One Piece episode 892 first aired on July 7, 2019.
If you think this is a feel good anime you are up for something
The one at the end that’s the same as the first one at 52:30 is a recreation of the first one to celebrate the episode being the 1,000 one
The reason the intro is the same with updated animation is because that was the celebration opening for teaching EPISODE 1000!!
The navy hat is the best thing I have seen in a while. Can't wait to your one piece reaction
the seventh song ( around 14:00) is the first one but with the voice actors of the crew singing it,
Fun fact the creator of One Piece and the creator of Naruto are actually pretty close.
"Feel good anime" famous last words.
Bahahaha
one piece is my #1 and i've watched all of naruto, naruto shippuden (twice on both) + at least 50 episodes of boruto, maybe 130 episodes? i forgot. and i've watched all of gintama too (that's my #2)
Yes, definitely the openings hit me with a huge wave of nostalgia. I started in 2009 and I’m still a big die-hard fan.
I think a lot of people got realy sick of the fillers in Naruto.(To simplify it) The manga ended what was it 2014. And they still gave us over a year of fillers just so they can end it in exactly 500 episodes.
N°11 when they just start rappin' for no reason at all !
The last "We are" intro is a special one, cause is like a celebration of reaching 1000 episodes.
Was a fun watch, always a joy when the reactor truely engages with what is happening. My top 5 favorite openings are 21, 5, 13, 14, and 20. Always fun to watch people get confused by Chopper and Brook lol.
I’ve watched many animes but one piece is definitely by far my favorite one. The world of one piece is huge and nobody wants the adventure to stop.
The pacing of each episode is Naruto's better than OP, but overall, OP is legendary.
man hearing old opening makes me so nostalgic. and yea one piece has different unique laugh example like that guy in white mustache Sound Gurarararara and what 42:30 bro that song was FIRE AF
to answer your question at 39:03
yes. you will learn the names, connections, and stories of thousands of characters in this show. some you'll love with your whole heart, and some you'll despise with every inch of your being.
you'll feel pretty much every emotion under the sun while watching this show and that's only within the first 500 episodes.
i'll do my due diligence and join the horde telling you the same thing:
watching this show will change your life, and the community is here to guide you along every single step of the way while you journey through the world of One Piece
IIm subbing for your one piece reactions man, good luck, this is gonna be the best journey in your life :D
btw Sanji it was supposed to be called Naruto but the name was changed because it would be presented at about the same time that the Naruto manga would start to be released
It’s called dreaming on it always gives me chills to tats opening 23
I don’t know if it has been mentioned yet but if you want to watch more about it try “the breathtaking world of onepiece”. You’re going to love it for sure
50:33 I've seen these openings hundreds of times, first time I noticed this quick frame!
so sad u talk too much, you missed some parts so you're a bit confused about the persons and events so yeah, generally good reaction
this dude watches 20 plus openings and in the finalle of wano asks "whats up with the sword in his mouth" xD
32:00 they did, there was a 2 year timeskip and this is all their new designs
14:10 yes its the same song but this time sung by the "main pirate crew"
29:51 That's literally what I commented before reaching this point of the video 😂😂😂
The opening at 13:09 is the main cast singing the song
I've been watching anime for 26 years. I was a fan of Naruto back in its day, but comparing it to One Piece isn't fair. It's like asking a talented high school football team to play the Super Bowl champs.
One Piece is not just my favorite anime, it's my favorite long-form story, period. Of any genre or medium. If you ever have a choice between One Piece and literally anything else (except maybe Star Wars), always pick One Piece.
