Ha! I arrived in Athens once, but my bag was nowhere to be found; they had no clue were it was. Turns out, my bag arrived, but this man took it thinking it was his. It took him a week to realize he had the wrong bag! Smh....
That was my big fear! But that wasn’t the case thankfully! I got my bag. There will be an update in next week’s video. Did you get yours back?
@@agirlandherpassport I did! He contacted the airport a week later and they arranged for us to meet at the airport, so he could give it back....
A week later though! Well glad it worked out.
That’s why I get unique colored luggage.
World Traveler Plus food service was once really good. Pre-pandemic. It may take some time to get back to the way things were.
Tiffany-Looking forward to your bag saga. It blows my mind that you say you’ve never lost a bag before. So it’s just me then? ;) Flying out of a commuter airport in the US I cannot tell you how many times a bag has been lost. To me it’s always a 50/50 chance. Even if it isn’t lost my bag is almost always battered and damaged. I swear it doubles as landing gear. I buy a new suitcase every year. I’ve always assumed it’s because it takes me several connections to just get out of the US, so any international flight is at least three planes before I board for Greece! Thereby increasing the odds of a problem. At any rate I recommend putting an Air Tag in your luggage. This way you’ll know where it is even when the airline doesn’t. I’ve heard Heathrow has been having issues. Good luck. I really hope you get it back. I know it’s just stuff, but it’s stuff with memories attached.
I’m kinda surprised too! I did get it back. It was a bit banged up too. I’m definitely getting an AirTag for the next trip.
We're taking BA PE from SEA to CDG. Our seats will be in the last row, so we don't have a window. And it's right next to the bathroom.
Sorry about the bag. It has happened to me. Years ago my bag was lost but they delivered the next day to my home in Greece.
Regarding the dog, was it a German Shepherd or a Beagle. I know some airports switch to Beagles because they are not intimidating.
Thankfully, I got it two days later.
I don’t remember. I don’t think it was a beagle. I would have wanted to pet it!
@@agirlandherpassport exactly, I know years ago they switched at Boston Logan airport from German Shepards to Beagles because some people have a fear of dogs and Beagles are less threatening. They are fantastic sniffing dogs.
Maybe God willing the next time I travel I’ll look into the upgrade.

Premium economy is great on BA. I love the upstairs and the faster on boarding from various paths to get on the plane! I also heard BA flights to Athens have better fares and timing.
I still think American was better but it’s a matter of opinion. American doesn’t fly to Athens so it’s my only option.

I also fly from DTW to an American airport then directly to Athens. Less chance of losing a bag.
There are no direct flights from Dallas to Greece so direct is not an option.

How is the LHR airport? Haven't been to London yet. 😏Seems like you lost some weight, keep it up! Back then I used to have no jet lag at all, China and US East Coast is a 12 hours difference, and I used to be able to just keep going with a fresh morning. I got many things to do in 2023, mainly getting a home in Athens and trying to find a job in Canada. What do you have in mind for this year?
It’s not great. I hate having to go there but it’s where American does most of its layovers. It’s easy going west but east is hard. This is year is already busy. Going to Qatar for work soon and back to the US in May. Hoping to hit Italy in the Spring and of course see more Greece.

@@tomliao3361 No, this is strictly a work trip and I am not a fan of Dubai actually. I do which is a bit strange for me. I don't often plan this far in advance but this year I have to.

@@CarlesSpriggs 😂 don’t listen people usually have something bad to say about any and every airline. Even emirates as it’s gotten older has complaints now. I think the only airline still unscathed is Cathay and Korean air, also air New Zealand.
