Well he didn't as the rifle was over the state line at a friend's house and he crossed the state line daily because he lives 1 mile from it. The problem most people have is how TYT omitted details. The way TYT specifically Cenk spoke about self defense saying he wouldn't kill someone because they hit him with a skateboard, they conveniently missed the part where there was someone shooting in his direction first whilst being chased and when he fell on his ass the skateboarder hit him, just knowing that makes you see why people are unsubscribing from TYT in there droves. So disingenuous.

He also didn't shoot in response to Zaminski shooting. He shot because Rosenbaum had just begun to attempt to wrestle his AR away from him.

Perhaps he did hear the shot and doesn't remember it, from his testimony he was out of room to run and had to turn around and in a flash Rosenbaum is grabbing the muzzle of the gun.

That's it.
It's a tricky scenario this one. By the way the law is written, Grosskreutz had just as much right to kill Rittenhouse in this instance as Rittenhouse did to kill his previous 2 victims.
He had as much reason to fear for his life, and had the right to defend himself. Whether he really chose not to shoot a kid as he claimed, or simply wasnt quick enough on the draw is beyond anyone to really say at this point.

The problem itself is how these laws are written. As they stand, and with the precedent now set by this case, one no longer has to be within actual danger to use lethal force, one just needs to believe they are. Or at the very least claim so.
Theres no doubt in my mind that Grosskreutz would of been the one on trial had he taken the shot. Although, something tells me the optics of shooting a teenager are much worse than what Rittehouse dealt with. Especially considering that the two people Rittenhouse killed were garbage people.
The way I see it. The problems here go far beyond the events that transpired, and rather towards what caused this mess in the first place. Which is a broken legal and policing system, as well as a corrupt political and media system bent on dividing Americans on every issue possible.

In a perfect world. But today politics is bigger then ever before.
10 years ago people didnt so much care about another person political stance because regardless of what side you chose, most everyone loved America.
Regardless of where you stood, the truth was always important.
Today however people have lost their careers because of am accusation, a political affiliation even.
People are being attacked, canceled, targeted for their personal beliefs, saying something someone else didnt like, or even wearing a red hat that says "make america great again"
So as much as i wish it were possible to just set politics aside, its not a realith in today's society.
This trial is a prime example.
Anyone who can think logically, use common sense, set aside personal beliefs, is able to be open minded, and can accept the facts will say Kyle Rittenhouse is innocent.
Yet even after all of the evidence was shown, even after we learned the prosecution not only hid evidence, but altered some as well, even after all the video footage was shown, all proving that he did absolutely nothing but defend himself.
There are still people wanting to riot, make it about race, media outlest still pushing lies, and the list goes on.
So until all of America can stand for the truth, political affiliation will play a huge role in things.

@@tonytooshort you can legally carry a gun in public if some one chases you into a corner after telling him you are not a threat and then they try and take your weapon, you can use lethal force so that they cannot take the gun and use it against you.

Automatic rifles are illegal to purchase in the US (unless you have a FFL and not any private citizens can get one.) The fact that Kyle's AR15 had a full cartridge is irrelevant. Open carry is legal in the state. The only thing is he was not old enough to own it, but was dismissed on a technicality. Did you not research the case, or are you just following a narrative?

Kyle was defending himself from vigilante rioters burning property and committing violent acts for their cause. Kyle acted purely in the definition of self defense vs vigilante rioters. There was only a single victim that day. Kyle Rittenhouse. The four men who chased him down and assaulted him are legally assailants, even the ones who died while committing the criminal assault.
