This is one of my favorite overhaul mods for Rome 2. I LOVE how faithful his mod is to vanilla, it makes adding in your own mods to the equation much easier. It feels like an official DLC, Gyrosmeister should be proud. Another great video man!
Hey, thanks for covering the mod! I have to make one correction, the Spartans are the only faction that don't build stables, this is for historical reasons, as the Spartans used to put men that were deemed unfit to fit in the Phalanx on horses. Their cavalry is however really bad.
I would much rather play wrath of Sparta, the Pelopenesian war doesn't get enough love and attention. Troy total war just got me back into Rome, playing wrath of Sparta, I know it's not the same time period or even close, but its not like those units are very realistic or historical in troy.
@@ramiromen6595 that's my hope, that we can get enough modders to save it, they've gotten lazy since they switched over to courting the fantasy fans. Those guys are easy to make happy, put some tig ol bitties on an elf and you've got a best seller. I just hate that they've RUINED not only total war, but strategy gaming in general. Look at all these you tubers streaming more Warhammer crap now in bannerlord. We gotta draw the line somwhere here or we'll never see a realistic historical grand strategy game again. I don't even hate fantasy games, I've played eso and a lot of others, it's not really my cup of tea, but I don't go trying to change their games either. Pretty shitty thing to do if you ask me.
Well well well looks like this is the next mod to continue my Spartan Campaign in Hellenika. Achieved hegemony over Athens Corinth and Thebes (clients) Time for a Leuctra and defense of Sparta as the Diadochi fights over Greece!
I personally cannot play without DEI-style battles, any way to play this mod with DEI-style battles? Vanilla battles are way too fast and easy for me. I don't like increasing difficulty because the AI just gets a bunch of bonuses that don't really make for immersion or realism.
Please make multiple top 10 lists of Rome 2 DeI's AoR units! How it would be organized is like this: The unit displayed in each tier list would be drawn from four provinces in order to describe a "local region." for example, "Italy" would be Cisalpine Gual, Latium, Magna Graecia, and Sicily, "Greek Homeland" would be Hellas, Makedonia, Bythynia et Pontus, and whatever province Pergamon is located in calls itself, The "Near Barbarians" would be Thrace, Illyria, Pannonia, and Dacia, and so forth.
@@TheTerminatorGaming Sweet, I know you're just about the perfect man for the job! Another "Region" idea is for "The Frontier." These regions would include Corsica et Sardinia, Provincia, and the British Isles.
The mod works for me, but the names of the units are missing in multiplayer and in the campaign, and the unit descriptions are also missing. Is there something to consider for this or do I have to activate an extra mod
you pronounced literally every greek word and name wrong (that's not a common name like sparta) even before the 2 minute mark but i won't take off any points for that

I can't stand the vanilla unit cards, having no "patrol region" button, population etc... Got so used to DEI that I was passing on so many other mods... But this one looks so promising, as I wanted to do a WOS campaign for a while now... Cheers.

@@olorin7940 Same, even Hellenika, which has awesome ideas for diplomacy and cultures and other stuff, can't stand the non-DEI battles, and lack of supplies, and even the replenishment is too fast and easy for me
