Jackalope is so adorable❤ my fav wip so far! It’s totally a full coverage, it’s giant, so many colors, confetti, it is full coverage 😂
I tend to stitch 1-2k stitches a year on my largest projects and focus the rest of the time on smalls and finishes, so today I checked stitch count of a project I m doing now, it’s over 40k, well, I guess it will take me at least 15 years to finish 😂 definitely not a focus piece for me 😅
You have to finish that snow leopard! Gorgeous.
Thank you! I always remember how nice it looks when I pull it out, but it scares me since I"ve had to redo so much of it LOL. I really should pull it out again though
I was working on Woman In A Field of Flowers, a full-coverage piece that I am doing for the LeapYearSAL hosted by Karen, the Canmore Stitcher. I am at 1.94% of 160,000 stitches. Thanks for the great WIP parade. I have 3 WIPS at the moment (formerly completely 100% monogamous) but I have a goal to start 24 in 24. I have the 3 active WIPS, have started & completed 2 (smalls), and so at 5 projects in January, I'm on track. I have 2 starts planned for February, too, so that's 7 out of 24. My rule for myself is that I need to touch every WIP at least once per month. Right now with only 3 active, that's not a problem. Later in the year ....... well, we shall see! Happy stitching!
oooo that sounds exciting! I also went from being mostly monogamous to all the things. Have fun starting all those projects!
I stitched on Peacock Pin Cushion while watching your WIP parade! It is by Cottage Garden Samplings and was an exclusive kit for The Silver Needle A Little Help From Our Friends Stitching Circle. Loved your WIP Parade! You are very ambitious and have a lot of big projects! Looking forward to seeing your progress throughout the year!
Thanks so much :)
I reorganized my DMC floss while I watched because I’ve decided to build up my stash this year. I would like to have all of the colors on hand so it will be easier to stitch from stash in the future. I don’t have an LNS nearby and Joanne’s and Michael’s seem to get picked pretty bare whenever I really need a floss that I somehow missed when kitting up a project or have run out and really need it in order to finish my project goals. Congrats on sticking to your goal last year.🎉
Nice! I really have to do that with my floss at some point. Every time I am convinced that I must own all the DMC, I find a project that calls for multiples flosses I don't yet own... I'm not sure how it's possible, but I think I need to just fill in the gaps once for all and then after that pick them up as they run low.
Thanks for the WIP parade - loved seeing your progress. I was working on the November block of the free monthly series Joyful World by the Snowflower Diaries. Nearly finished this one and then only have December to go. Need to FFO them all yet (I've put magnets in a frame and am mounting them on foamcore with washers to swap out each month).
Thank you! You know, as long as you're enjoying the process, I think that's what matters most for some of those big huge projects
I was working on organizing my floss. Thank you for keeping me entertained. Loved seeing all of your projects. Happy New Year!
I am doing all the borders on Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow first too, so as you said, then I can just choose which square I want to work on. I started it this January and I do one square or maybe a bit more and then go to another project for 2 or 3 days & then back to the borders. I have the top & 8 squares done so far…so it is working! Good luck on your Halloween.
That's a good method! I have to start rotating mine in a bit more or it's never going to get anywhere
I stitched on Spring Lock by Mill Hill while watching. I'm on team Goofy in fandom stitching. I plan on stitching both the hero's and villians, but haven't bought the patterns yet.lol
Fun!!! I think that both the Hero's and villains are cool, I have a feeling I'll end up doing both of them.
I am also doing HAED Astrology Cat. Have 3 pages done as of Feb 2nd, Have you named the kitty cat? I am calling her Luna! Great WIP parade!
ooo so exciting! I haven't name her yet because I've barely even started :( I am sooo far behind! Luna is a great name
i stitched on a sampler called Colors of Spring by the Sewing Circle
You have a great recorded voice. You should do voiceover advertising!!!
awww thanks so much!
I am working on Luthien Art Stained Glass Christmas Train
I've never heard of Luthien Art before! I just went to look them up and they have beautiful patterns!! Will definitely need to look into them more
Too much rambling 😢
