Hello Everyone! I really don't know what was going on in August, but this is one RANDOM vlog. I'm also not entirely sure how it took me an entire month to get a regular-sized vlog, but here we are! I didn't stitch on a lot of variety, but I made lots of great progress on the projects I worked on, and I'm all pumped up and ready to have a GREAT September. I hope the end of your summer was wonderful!

@britches__get__stitches oh my goodness! I didn't even THINK about astrology cat as a SAL! I was trying to decide which SAL to work on for that. Lately (other than August) I've been doing only monthlies, so I was trying to pivot my brain for this month. Poor neglected astrology cat could definitely use the love LOL thanks for the reminder!!!

I love your trailer (it looks so cozy,!) and you were in a beautiful spot! I take some stitching (much less than you because I have kids to entertain) camping with me also, but I have yet to meet anyone else while out and about. I'm interested in knowing your sorting method for your puzzle.
@jeanjeanes1824 honestly at this point it's a bit haphazard lol. I have always sorted as I went - so deciding on a section and then finding all the pieces for that section. And maybe also pulling for obvious sections at the same time. Lately I've been testing out the "sort first" method by grouping edge pieces and then "like" colours. But it's a work in progress lol. I actually intended to talk a bit about it this video but accidentally deleted that part! Next time I sort a puzzle I'll talk through the process a bit more 😊

I’m in my RV for 3 months of the year. I bring 7 projects with me. Each has its own project bag with every color needed for it. I keep my floss on rings so no bulky plastic containers. Everything fits in one big tote bag which also contains extra floss in plastic bags. My biggest project has 236 colors. My smallest has 30ish colors. It was no big deal to organize for the RV as that’s how I’m organized at home too. My master set is in a closet on floss rings on a sturdy wooden hanger which has prongs on it. It takes up very little space and I was able to eliminate the use of hard plastic containers. Have fun camping.
@dianemiller7994 thank you so much for commenting! I love the idea of floss rings but have only just started to dip my toe into that method. I've used bobbins since I was little so I'm so much more used to that method. But I love how the Rings take up less space and are so easy yo use generally. What type of floss drop situation do you use? Or do you use floss bags?
@@StoriesandStitches The only time I use floss bags is for silk threads. They can fray easily. I use floss drops - the ones from Atom Heart. They have several types, so you can pick and choose. Happy stitching to you.

I am intrigued by your puzzle board/mat. Where did you get it? We had a traumatic puzzle experience over Christmas, where my cat and dog teamed up and puzzle pieces were eaten. My son was quite upset he couldn't finish the puzzle.
Oh No!!!! That is terrible. I got mine from Mary Maxim (I live fairly close to the Canadian warehouse). But I have actually seen them around at games stores and online shops. They come in different sizes and styles as well. I really like it! I did a puzzle recently that it was too small for, but made it work. I have also had some terrible animal vs puzzle situations -not fun!!

Aw I played Bear and Breakfast on release - I loved it! I never quite finished it, but it was so comfy and fun the whole time.
I have watched the movie Clue quite a few times. Tim Curry was fantastic in it. Today is Thursday and it is snowing here so I am working on Christmas ornaments today. I do have a pattern called Carrot Cake started and when we get a nice, sunny day I do stitch on it but it has not been really great weather here.
I know that feeling. I feel like every time it seems like the weather is getting nice here it goes back to yucky! I am so ready for some consistent sunshine and warmth!
