- I am currently pain free, on zero meds and experiencing great health. Weight bearing exercise at the gym, combined with lots of walking in the fresh air, swimming, and a (mostly) strict ketogenic diet are helping to keep me healthy and fighting fit. Previous health issues - psoriasis, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, have all disappeared.
I feel very lucky.
My keto diet staples:
Grass fed beef
Pasture raised chicken eggs
Cheese
Organic grass fed butter
Leafy greens
Cream
Avocado
Good quality extra virgin olive oil
…and so much more!
NOW is the time!❤️
Keep rocking it.
You know I will
Hello, Jane. You are looking well and I am pleased to see it.
I think it's good to have a bucket list.Whether you are a person that is well or has some sort of life threatening condition..
Just do what makes you happy. X
You’re right. I was cruising in my life like I would live forever. This cancer has really lit a fire under me. It’s a good thing!
Well said...no one is guaranteed tomorrow
Jane,I still have a tiramasu recipe you gave me when we worked together,I use it still and I think of you when I use it❤
We’re going to Port Douglas and all I care about is the tiramisu at the restaurant we’re booked into on the last night!
Quite amazing! This gives me hope. Especially since I’m on half a dozen meds. Did you suffer seizures before? It’s been 2 years since I’ve had a seizure, but I am terrified of having another one, so I’m very hesitant to reduce the drugs.
@CB43 I am fortunate in that I’ve never had a seizure. I wasn’t allowed to drive for 6 months after surgery due to a risk of seizures, but I think that’s just a blanket ban for anyone who’s had brain surgery. Seizures are horrible and can be weird and sudden, so like you I’d be hesitant to come off meds if I’d had them. I hope you never ever have a seizure again ❤️
Is 3.6 a “moderate level of ketosis”? I don’t think so.
After 6 months on carnivore I've not had a temporal lobe seizure for 3 months! Off statins. 😃😃
That’s great Julia!
Hoping for. same success
Does your oncologist know you are on Keto ?
Nope. She said it doesn’t matter what I eat. You could not get an oncologist less interested in diet.
@@JaneWhiteheadBrainStorymine aren’t either all they care about is that I eat anything at all of any quality and quantity
@@bnbbattlesbraincancer isn’t it amazing! I feel like I’ve been thrown into a pit with my hands tied with this cancer thing. It’s just me down here. I’ve had surgery (thank God!) and radiation and chemo (jury’s still out on if that worked), and now I’m on my own. Oh well. I’ve always been a solo operator. Maybe in some cosmic way I asked for this opportunity…
