They are both very similar, but green lantern is a little bit bigger. It is taller, has a steeper drop (and a trim that looks like it hits harder than Steel Hawg's trim), and, from a POV I watched, looks to have a little bit more track.
Went to the park today. Talked to an employee about their new “Triple Loop” coaster. I’m quoting here: “I doubt it’ll be open this year. They don’t want to pay the workers to prepare it in a timely manner and they want maintenance workers without welding certification to finish the ride.”
Wow! That's a lot of possibly inappropriate info to be sharing, especially with this coaster's history. I keep "bothering" Indiana Beach since I want to video the very first run a train makes on American Triple Loop. I've heard similar controversial stories about the construction. I rode it in 1985 during the first ACE Europe tour, when it was travelling the German Fair circuit (it's a portable coaster for those who don't know). It instantly became my favorite steel coaster & still holds a top 5 spot among the 300+ steel coasters I've ridden. It really is _that good_ and I can't wait to ride it. I'm sure it won't open this year, however.
Steel Hawg is a wonderful ride but is too short as mentioned in this great video. S&S is weird the way they design & build coasters! They keep creating coasters that either kick ass (Steel Hawg, El Loco), are often closed because of their complexity (Maxx Force, Do-Dodonpa), are super-weird (Screamin Squirrels), or are some of the _worst_ steel coasters in existence (_all_ of their Free-Spins). They've also built 2 excellent wood coasters (defunct Avalanche, Timberhawk) and 1 terrible wood coaster (Hellcat, but rumor is it will be totally rebuilt soon since Gene Staples bought the park & he has a habit of rebuilding & refurbishing things that need it, like American Triple Loop). I'm sorry the El Loco and euro fighter models feel and look like a wild mouse on steroids. I'm not insulting them just saying what they seem like to me. They look like what Togo wanted to do with the coaster that ended them in the US.
Hell, I didn’t realize you had it as a theme. The entire “we gotta talk about” playlist. I honestly have only seen your videos recommended scattered around and now I see it’s a whole series. I just watched 4 random “We gotta talk about” videos and thought it was lazy titling BUT I WAS WRONG. The max force video was excellent as are several others. Keep it up, excited to be a subscriber.

this coaster was designed by Alan Schilke who also designed all of the RMC's up until Arie Force One. he's retired now and Joe Draves took over
