Respect the the UK! I lived in Tokyo from 97-2018 and I had the honor seeing him at the Blue Note Tokyo when the band consisted of Patches Stewart, Boogie Bell and The Late Great Hiram Bullock. I was in awe, and I've been on his team every since. His body of work is could be a music theory course if it isn't already. I'd love to come to the UK for a live show. Love the music scene there.

I Had the chance to talk to all of them and hang out after their concert in Cluj, Romania at Jazz in the Park. They are all such great players and humble persons, I could not belive how amazing they were. Also, Marcus's keyboard player jammed with Mononeon and Robert Sput in a bar. I was literally standing right next to them!!

Everytime I listen to Marcus I think I don't believe what I've just seen and heard. But this is in another league again. The whole deal is just beyond words and Marcus is unreal. Thay solo on Trip Trap was off the scale.....and some.
He never ceases to amaze me. That style and legendary history with Miles together with these horn players, sweet magic; like Miles Davis reviewers: it's like a cascading waterfall in his mind. I agree. Wonderful evening and better days ahead.

Third time i watch this in a week,gotta love that bassjazz! :) And for a RUclips concert this has great sound,a little low Master volume,around 10-15dB lower than ref -20MV 85dB,but just crank that amplifier up.I really love the sound in this concert,great mixing and dynamics,thanks alot! :)

I'm just going to keep playing 10:05 to 12:12 over and over again. Marcus needs to pickup that 5 string Sire Fretless more often and show those fretless chops! Love it! Great band too!
Saw him in 2015 when he was in the Lowcountry Jazz Festival over at the Performing Arts Center (pre-covid), he was introducing his Afrodeezia CD. After the show, they had a "Meet and Greet" with him. I bought the CD and he autographed it. I still have it to this day. Awesome bassist.
