Love everything about this from the way you conquered the inconsistencies of the yarn to the way you meticulously stitched it all together… the result is amazing! Glad to have found your channel.

Thanks for showing us blanket, love it ,I really want to try this yarn , but so many reviews say it's the hook size and tension that is s hard to make them, I don't know, maybe one day, oh ya Hi from Texas , I'am new here

Hi! Welcome! I would say give it a try with one skein and see if you like or not.

Did you say you can get lily pad at Joannes? I'm going there this weekend. Thank you

Not lily pad! I had to order that from yarnspirations. I have found it at Walmart recently, though, and they are cheaper!

Ive tried this yarn but i never have enough of the 5th color to weave it in. I find it frustrating

That’s totally understandable. I think this yarn is super dependent on tension and works great for some and not great for others. If you’re having trouble with the 5th row, I would try maybe a smaller hook just for that row, or maybe even just only doing rows 1-4 and then using different yarn for the 5th row so that you don’t have to worry about playing yarn chicken.

I had an issue with cream as well!!! One skein I used, every single colour was the wrong length! I tried everything but I could not make it work what so ever, so now it is just sitting in a bag, most likely never to be used

i almost bought some of this yarn today but i was worried i wouldn’t be able to keep my tension right

It definitely takes getting used to working with this yarn. There’s a lot of changing tension.

Once you find your pace (tension and crochet hook size might differ for each round), it's such a game changer you won't regret it!

Is there something all of the squares have in common or close enough to in common, like a dark blue/ soft navy center that you could match up with a different solid yarn and do some sort of Lacey or lattice work joining technique .. Surely there is bound to be....
By the way with the color selection you have, and because I am an experienced quilter, you should work at color balance. That means not to have too many dark centers in one area or to have too many yellow borders on one side of the blanket. You need to lay it out somewhere where you can back off and look at it from different views and take pictures of it. Maybe switch some things around until you achieve this color balance so the blanket won't look lopsided to wear too much of one color is in any one place. If you planned it and made a certain pattern then you could have planned the colors and gone from light to dark or done something more like a Granny Stitch Log Cabin Square also known as Puzzle Granny ruclips.net/video/h8KSQRpHwLY/видео.htmlsi=8LsFObEb7f9sXvwU ONLY IN QUILTDOM , THERE IS A PATTERN KNOWN AS "Daylight and Dark" or "Sunlight and Shadows" you get the drift, and these squares are done with all of the dark colors on one corner and on the opposite corner are the light colors and when you put all of these quilt blocks together, and if you did the puzzled granny this way, your whole quilt/blanket would have overall diagonal striped effect of lights and darks.
I suggested random placements and color balancing because you are using colors that someone else has put together. This means that you have to make someone else's plan look good on what your idea is. You said yourself the whites won't match and the yellows are different you're going to have to have what in quilting is called sashing and this is why I suggested finding a common enough color in the Yarns that you have chosen and try to match or coordinate with the centers to find a color that you can use to do a lattice join.... then again back with the principle of the quilting why not just single crochet some sashing and that would separate your blocks just fine. Or figure out what you're saying or lattice joint color will be and border all of your squares with that, and join them however you will with that same color. There's more than one way to get anything done so you put your skills to work at that detail. There definitely needs to be a color difference between your blocks and you are definitely going to have to figure out which blocks will sit next to one another and look all right where do you actually decide to join them block to block or put some kind of color in between depends on what you have there and how well you can coordinate color balancing. At that point it would be a lot of trial and error and I am still thinking you are going to need a color in between all of those different borders you're going to end up with because someone else chose the colors in those balls.

So the blankets done and I like the way I did it and it’s for me. You don’t have like it or make one the way I did it. This isn’t a tutorial on how to make the blanket or use the squares. I was going for a diamond diagonal pattern and I did it. I’m not concerned with color balance on premade squares. The whole point was to just use the squares as they are, not add more yarn or new borders. It’s also a crochet blanket, not a quilt, so yeah I didn’t lay it out like a quilt.

The best crochet YT channels don't find the need to use profanity. Just saying .... Don't get mad at me - just a little friendly advice. Otherwise keep up the good work!
