Can this be done in half treble crochet? 😁 just curious 😊
@@wysteria4J.9512 I think so! I don’t think the type of stitch matters for this pattern
How many chains did you use for the width size? because chevron always seem to strink due to the Peaks @ Valleys?
@@marjiecoleman5002 I believe it was sets of 27 stitches, which made 1 peak and 1 valley every 27 stitches
Haha love it. There's even more colorways just since you made this video! Watermelon is one of the new colors! I've only seen them online at this point though.
Also I have made at least one square from every color currently on the market except the last 5 or 6 they came out with. I have had to use 6.5 on every color except 2 of them, which I guess I need a 7 for??? I ended up ordering a 7 cause I didn't have one. We shall see!
@@ronaldheartsgames yes! I saw! And now they have flower ones! I have some of the flowers to try for another video!
@@ronaldheartsgames and tell me how the 7 is! I feel like I might need one too!
Is that your collection of books 😯😍 The sweater looks so cute!! Beautiful job as always!
@@JaneT0519 it is a part of my book collection! I will probably do a walk through on my other channel , PaleWitchCass, sometime next year of my whole collection. And thank you! I like my sweater a lot!
Like your finished product! Thx for the yarn review - thank you for your service!
@@JillBrigante lol happy to help!
I just finished my 9th skein of this granny all in one. And you are right they are super inconsistent. And I guess my tension is way tight cause I used a 6.5 on every color!
I love her
@@brittanyboehnke8059 thank you!
Would you be willing to do a video showing how you do straps? Specifically with this yarn would be my preference, but I love how they look in this video and your earlier video with the granny square yarn. Did the shortest color strap stripe take multiple squares' worth of that color yarn?
So cute and they took the dye so well! 💚💚💚
That blanket is absolutely gorgeous! I'm a quilter and I can appreciate all the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into creating something so beautiful. Nobody will ever know how much time you put into that lovely blanket, but you know, and you did it with all your heart. Its so lovely. Whoever is going to get that blanket is very blessed. Amazing job ♡
Thank you!
Soooooo beautiful!!!
I love watching these kind of videos!!
Can you help me figure out how many chains to start and the count for the peaks and valleys. I’m trying to make a throw. Every pattern I’ve found starts with from 183 chains to 240. I don’t want anything that big. I’m struggling to figure it out. Thank you
Look at the 240 and divide into two 120, three 80, four 60, the width you want. Just remember to add the turning chain. One for single crochet, two for Hdc, three for double crochet.
@@charlottehyatt9601 thank you!!
Love the random motivational ones scattered throughout all the morbid/dark ones. I say “I’m fine. It’s fine. Everything is fine” daily! 😆
@@mikaylahalcomb5683 yes!!
what I do is I crochet the square with tighter tension and with the extra yarn I slip stitch until I get to a space or a corner.
How many skeins of each granny square all in one did you use?
@@knottynnice 2 skeins each
You LOVE the hockey smut. In bullying cousins we trust.
😂😂😂
Love every element of this outfit! You’re so creative! 💚🖤💚
@@jlklbr56 thank you!
Awww… love you, Girlie! The little box is pin-backs that screw on so you don’t lose the pin (teeny-tiny hex wrench for the teeny-tiny screw). So glad you like everything! 🩵
@@jlklbr56 that makes sense lol thank you again!
Hi.. Beautiful!! I was wondering if you could tell me how many stiches is the length, My Son wants me to make him a chevron blanket, and i know it has to be extra long because he is 6'2, but due to the peeks and valleys, length is difficult for me to figure.. Much appreciated for your help.. woops also, Could you also tell me the stich count... Thanks..
@@ceribeedle4387 I believe the length is multiples of 29 and I did that 12 times, so 348 stitches across. (I didn’t actually write anything down for the blanket so that is my closest guess) I looked up a RUclips tutorial to do it. Just look for chevron crochet blanket.
Really love all pieces. The waist is over the top❤
beautiful!!! and those nails girl! 🧚love it!
Thank you! And I had to get nails to match the fit!
Everyone is critiquing this yarn. I love the African flower pattern the best.
I have made two of the sweaters from Keniske's tutorial. Such a quick and satisfying project! ✨✌️
Yes I loved making it!
I have one of the granny square yarn I tried what I recommended but that’s not my type I do use a magic ring
That's okay! It's not for everyone. At least you gave it a try!
@@CassMakesCraftss I learned to crochet by my aunt but I didn’t pick it till 2021 which was my sophomore year of high school
Is it solid and not blo type thing?? Side note thats do pretty!!!
Yes it is solid. No back loops. Thank you!
@@CassMakesCraftss I figured what's a very pretty blanket!!!! I might have to do one of those eventually!!!!
Ive tried this yarn but i never have enough of the 5th color to weave it in. I find it frustrating
That’s totally understandable. I think this yarn is super dependent on tension and works great for some and not great for others. If you’re having trouble with the 5th row, I would try maybe a smaller hook just for that row, or maybe even just only doing rows 1-4 and then using different yarn for the 5th row so that you don’t have to worry about playing yarn chicken.
Omg I LOVE this!!!
Thanks!
Your blanket is Gorgeous!! You have inspired me, just so happen to have the colors you used. Thank you soo much for sharing! Thanks for all the tips for joining the squares! Really appreciate you🤗
Thank you! And I’m happy to help!
The blocking device is currently cool. Where can we purchase these?
I found it on Amazon!
Looks great! I’m going to give this yarn a go too.
Yes!
Absolutely love the design layout!!
Thanks!
Love everything about this from the way you conquered the inconsistencies of the yarn to the way you meticulously stitched it all together… the result is amazing! Glad to have found your channel. 🩵🧶🩵
Thank you so much!
Did you say you can get lily pad at Joannes? I'm going there this weekend. Thank you
Not lily pad! I had to order that from yarnspirations. I have found it at Walmart recently, though, and they are cheaper!
Hello Walmart sells them for $7.48
my first crochet project was a hexagon cardigan from PassionKnit’s tutorial!! i’ll be making your pattern!!
Yes! Love her! I’m close to being done with the pattern, but I don’t have a set release date for that yet. I’ll make a post as soon as it’s done.
I found this yarn in several colors at Walmart. I am new at crochet and I am going to try to do it. Even though people in one of my groups say I shouldn’t because so many people that have been crocheting for a long time.
It’s definitely worth a try!
I love it and will definitely make one eventually!
Yes! Tag me when you do so I can see!!
❤❤❤❤❤ I love it!
Yay!!
That’s super pretty!! ❤❤
Thank you!
I’m making a granny square cardighan with this yarn and am enjoying your videos. this video is hilarious, the tiny skirt comments had me laughing out loud.
I’m glad you’re enjoying my content!
Thank you so much for the information on the skeins. Love the pattern layout!!!
I use 16 skeins all red hearts yarns dark green colours from Wal-Mart not finish making yet almost done
That sounds pretty!
The best crochet YT channels don't find the need to use profanity. Just saying .... Don't get mad at me - just a little friendly advice. Otherwise keep up the good work!
Oh fuck
@@CassMakesCraftss I won't be back.
Thanks for showing us blanket, love it ,I really want to try this yarn , but so many reviews say it's the hook size and tension that is s hard to make them, I don't know, maybe one day, oh ya Hi from Texas , I'am new here
Hi! Welcome! I would say give it a try with one skein and see if you like or not.
Is there something all of the squares have in common or close enough to in common, like a dark blue/ soft navy center that you could match up with a different solid yarn and do some sort of Lacey or lattice work joining technique .. Surely there is bound to be.... By the way with the color selection you have, and because I am an experienced quilter, you should work at color balance. That means not to have too many dark centers in one area or to have too many yellow borders on one side of the blanket. You need to lay it out somewhere where you can back off and look at it from different views and take pictures of it. Maybe switch some things around until you achieve this color balance so the blanket won't look lopsided to wear too much of one color is in any one place. If you planned it and made a certain pattern then you could have planned the colors and gone from light to dark or done something more like a Granny Stitch Log Cabin Square also known as Puzzle Granny ruclips.net/video/h8KSQRpHwLY/видео.htmlsi=8LsFObEb7f9sXvwU ONLY IN QUILTDOM , THERE IS A PATTERN KNOWN AS "Daylight and Dark" or "Sunlight and Shadows" you get the drift, and these squares are done with all of the dark colors on one corner and on the opposite corner are the light colors and when you put all of these quilt blocks together, and if you did the puzzled granny this way, your whole quilt/blanket would have overall diagonal striped effect of lights and darks. I suggested random placements and color balancing because you are using colors that someone else has put together. This means that you have to make someone else's plan look good on what your idea is. You said yourself the whites won't match and the yellows are different you're going to have to have what in quilting is called sashing and this is why I suggested finding a common enough color in the Yarns that you have chosen and try to match or coordinate with the centers to find a color that you can use to do a lattice join.... then again back with the principle of the quilting why not just single crochet some sashing and that would separate your blocks just fine. Or figure out what you're saying or lattice joint color will be and border all of your squares with that, and join them however you will with that same color. There's more than one way to get anything done so you put your skills to work at that detail. There definitely needs to be a color difference between your blocks and you are definitely going to have to figure out which blocks will sit next to one another and look all right where do you actually decide to join them block to block or put some kind of color in between depends on what you have there and how well you can coordinate color balancing. At that point it would be a lot of trial and error and I am still thinking you are going to need a color in between all of those different borders you're going to end up with because someone else chose the colors in those balls.
So the blankets done and I like the way I did it and it’s for me. You don’t have like it or make one the way I did it. This isn’t a tutorial on how to make the blanket or use the squares. I was going for a diamond diagonal pattern and I did it. I’m not concerned with color balance on premade squares. The whole point was to just use the squares as they are, not add more yarn or new borders. It’s also a crochet blanket, not a quilt, so yeah I didn’t lay it out like a quilt.
I had an issue with cream as well!!! One skein I used, every single colour was the wrong length! I tried everything but I could not make it work what so ever, so now it is just sitting in a bag, most likely never to be used
It was super frustrating!
Thanks for showing the white and cream outside rows.
i almost bought some of this yarn today but i was worried i wouldn’t be able to keep my tension right
It definitely takes getting used to working with this yarn. There’s a lot of changing tension.
Once you find your pace (tension and crochet hook size might differ for each round), it's such a game changer you won't regret it!
Its HUGE! Congratulations on finishing it up! And the haters say that yarn cant be worked uppppp! Ha! 😅🎉
Thank you!
What pattern are you using
I’m doing the chevron pattern and just changing colors
