I totally agree with you! I was excited about a seemingly easier introduction to crochet Colorpooling! I agree that they definitely have some kinks to work out, but I hope they keep making the yarn and come out with more colors!
Omg!!! You nailed this review right on the head!! 😂 I was looking up videos, and yours popped up. Mostly, every review, they are complaining about the yarn. I've never made a granny square as I dislike cutting yarn so frequently and the holes in granny squares. But i was still happy to see this yarn & I like it. Yes, there are some kinks in using it. I saw some pattern squares w/o holes, and they are coming out very nice! Thank you for your review!!
I’ve found three more alternate granny square patterns using this yarn & created by YT crocheters… two I liked, the other, well my spouse says it looks like an inflamed volcano instead of a flower blossom. So I will be making three different types of squares to connect eventually. Not sure what I’m going to make with them though!
Thank you for this video. You are right on point! I watched so many of them n you are the 2nd person that said you rather not chain 2 or 3 chains in between the spaces look too big if you do. I brought 1 skein of the yarn to try it will try it your way n the African Flower too. I been crocheting over 30 yrs n have always crochet tight.🙂
I found this yarn in several colors at Walmart. I am new at crochet and I am going to try to do it. Even though people in one of my groups say I shouldn’t because so many people that have been crocheting for a long time.
I have never heard of this yarn before ( granny square yarn ) soooo I clicked on to your video to see what it’s all about !! Thank you so much for your video and for sharing and caring 👍🏿👏🏿👊🙌🏼⭕️❌🎈💕💝😍😀😎
I've watched so many videos about this and I'm waiting for a skein I ordered online atm. I agree you have to change your tension, all those people that are criticizing it because they don't want to adjust their tension are missing the point. Also not chaining too! Your straps are great btw, the bag is gorgeous. I have planned pooled and that is so much more difficult lol I can't imagine some of these people trying it. But now that you got a hang of this and like it, I definitely think you should dig up that planned pooling yarn and give it another go, it's so satisfying and fun when it gets going, as long as you have the same number of stitches every time for each colour, it just starts coming together. I think you'll like it.
You had a lot of great commentary. Thanks for the review!

I’ve also seen where people are making other squares! I want to look into that but need to finish my current project first
I love the magic circle, best thing since apple pie.
what I do is I crochet the square with tighter tension and with the extra yarn I slip stitch until I get to a space or a corner.

It’s definitely worth a try!
Everyone is critiquing this yarn. I love the African flower pattern the best.
Love this yarn to

I definitely want to try planned pooling again! I just have to finish some other wips first lol
girl i was feeling the same way listening to other reviews- it’s color pooling, why are you mad lol
Yes exactly!
I use a H hook. No chain between clusters. Chain 2 in corner
That's exactly how I learned to make a granny square. I absolutely love this yarn.
I have one of the granny square yarn I tried what I recommended but that’s not my type I do use a magic ring
That's okay! It's not for everyone. At least you gave it a try!
@@CassMakesCraftss I learned to crochet by my aunt but I didn’t pick it till 2021 which was my sophomore year of high school
Hello Walmart sells them for $7.48
Am I the only one that can barely hear her, despite having my sound up high as it can go?
I’m still working out my audio set up and editing. It should be better in the coming videos!
