- In this quick video tutorial, I will demonstrate (no audio) how to decoupage furniture with tissue paper. It's a great way to add beauty to your already painted furniture makers. Adding decoupage tissue paper on wood furniture is a fairly simple process. I used a top coat instead of decoupage glue or Mod Podge and it worked great! Description says tissue paper, but it was decoupage paper used. I’ve ordered both from the same seller. They are completely different weights and textures. I needed tips for actual tissue paper
How did you get the paper around the key hole. I went back to check. The paper was over the hole and then gone.
Will they ship the paper to Australia? Btw, would love to see the finished product when you get a chance. I bet it turned out gorgeous!!

So for decoupage you put paint instead of glue?
Here's the blog post about this makeover. I use a topcoat instead of glue. www.dododsondesigns.com/how-to-decoupage-furniture-tutorial/
Why chalk paint?
Ok I’m gonna tell you all how to get your tissue paper flawlessly smooth and flat like glass:
1) thin coat of poly
2) lay tissue on the poly as you wish
3) gently smooth with hand
4) apply warm blow dryer for 2 minutes
5) lay parchment (not wax) paper over the decoupaged area
6) gently press, don’t rub or glide, pay attention to the edges
7 let dry, lightly sand off access paper
8) apply thin poly over decoupaging
9) hair dryer and iron again
10) apply another thin coat of poly and repeat with dryer and iron
11) final coat of poly, no dryer or iron as the first 2 coats are flat and sealed everything in
Your decoupage will come out perfect each time. If you notice a wrinkle, lay the parchment paper over that spot and press the iron on it. It will come out.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s sounds like the perfect solution.
I tried this just like this, and all that happened was the paper got curly and wavy like a potato chip. Yeah not good.
Okay not just me. No sound!
Where are the decopage papers from?

Music is aggravating
Do, what happened to the audio?
Bahama Mama technical difficulties 🤣
Do Dodson Designs that’s too bad.
Would be a good video if it had sound!
Frani Willis I agree. I don’t understand why anyone would post a video without sound. Weird
Frani Willis I hear sound, noting music sound! I hate it. Who the heck wants to listen to annoying music and have to read the screen? Not me!
All I can hear is music and no speaking.
