It's an old video but I just now saw it. LOVED your instructions, but loved most of all....your inserts of you!! Love your funny way of talking and laughing. Made the video much more entertaining. Can't wait to see more.
You got this! It really does take patience! And, some may make it look easy but its genuinely not easy on its own! It becomes like that! I made so many mistakes starting out! Just dont use any good napkins or paper when you are starting.. save the good stuff..lol

Yes, this is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much! This will help me immensely on my project. I’m going to decoupage three attic doors in my bedroom. I think it will be exactly what the room needs!
Where have you been all of my life!🤣 you are a breath of fresh air! I have been binge watching your videos! Dam I talk to myself like you do! 😂. Your wood video came at a PERFECT time because I just invested in tools that I really have NO IDEA HOW TO USE (hence probably shouldn’t really use) so I can pretend to be a real crafter and stop paying dollar tree for a scrap piece of wood. Lord help us all🤞🏻😅
O Allison my friend your going to love a collab I am scheduled to do in January, duping Dollar Trees scrap wood with regular wood you can get at Home depot!! We are gonna be using some tools!!! YOU GOT THIS!!!
Decoupaging is one of my absolute favourite hobbies and I've done it for years (learnt it when living right by a hobby/craft shop in Waterloo Belgium) but there are always things to learn... didn't know about using a dry sponge. Great tip! Thank you for sharing your creative talent and inspiring your fellow crafters, me being one of them 🤗🕊️
Well, DAYM, m'am!! I have learned more in ONE 24-minute video than an entire semester of college -- I'm just happy that you didn't choose to be a university professor or we'd be sadly without your terrific talents... *And* I'm enjoying decoupage a LOT more than I ever did statistics (enough about that misguided adventure into higher education). Please keep the videos coming and many many thanks for including the mistakes and errors so we don't make them and then wonder what went wrong.
Love this refresher for decoupage techniques! I did decoupage before it was cool… about 24 yrs ago… ya ya.. I AM old! 😂 Thank you Brandi .. for the time, effort, info and love that you put into your videos. 💜
Can't wait to try the sponge trick and the little bottle to apply the mod podge. This entire video is packed with tips that I am excited to try. Thank you.
Brandi, you are lovely! I teach arts and crafts to seniors so my projects need to be SIMPLE and -- QUICK and EASY. You are. Thank you. Thank you. You are real. Again, thank you.

I am so happy to hear that! Not every way is for everyone, but there are so many ways to make things your own with decoupage!! I love helping people find their style!
Thank you LouAnn, she has many names around here...lol some call her my alter ego, some call her pop ups, some call her a meme..lol deff staple on the channel! Nice to meet you!
I have Decopauged for years and that sponge technique is new to me and I will definitely be using it. This video was awesome. That butterfly napkin is beautiful. Thanks for all the tips, just love your videos. Favorite thing for me to create are footstools, and mini boxes. Love your mini pallet videos.
This was a really great video! I didn't even realize there were so many ways to apply Mod Podge. I absolutely love that wrapping paper, too! I've been on vacation - I've missed your vids and I'm trying to catch up!
I hope you enjoyed yourself woman!!! To sweet ! Thank you for always supporting me! I got a chance to pop in over your channel one day last week. I did not comment but I did like and have to tell ya! What you do is amazing! Specially the places you go looking for things! I would not have expected some of that! Your pretty unique yourself!!! Deff nice to see content so different than what I typically get offered from youtube!
Very helpful! Love your humour napkins addiction indeed! Got a ton of William Morris napkins very cheaply at French shop online to make classic fireplace surrounds! Did you see Escape to the Chateau S9 ep1 she makes tiled table top like patchwork quilt fab! Saw a lady Pat Elrich? (Top5 decoupage tips) She uses stretched plastic wrap to press the napkins on and shield work as she smoothes out to avoid tears....been using catering/party sites to get more napkins cheaper❤ thanks for sanding block tip lmao some use sandpaper Pat uses giant nailfiles your block looks best!
OMG I am so glad I came across your video. I was having such a hard time decougapging napkins onto tile to make coasters. I tried a few methods but could not get it to not have wrinkles. I was going to try your sponge method but first tried the one where you apply a lot of glue, let it dry then use an iron once applying the napkin. It worked so good! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I love the squeeze bottle idea. Thank you. This was wonderful. That sponge trick is so much better than the Saran Wrap. That gets kind of messy, I think.
I was waiting for my mod podge to dry on my tissue paper, 😁 checked RUclips and here you are with this video, how wonderful is that. I love to decoupage and use it for a lot of my projects. I’ve never used the glue stick (that ain’t decoupaging, that’s gluing paper🤣) because I think it’s an insult to mod podge, (I’m loyal) 🤣🤣 I kid, do what ya want. I’m trying the Tim Holtz paper on a tin next. 😊 This was very helpful Brandi, thanks girl. 😊💕
Lol it is glueing paper but we mod Podge over top..lol.. just a trick for the wrinkles and lumps and bumps... Girl, I have had Sooooo many comments the past month or two about Decoupage. I had to make this video. It's not even as detailed as I wanted to get but it will deff answer many questions 💜💜💜 I love when you kid with me🤣
How informative and helpful are you!? I’m new to this fun way of creating beautiful things and was thrilled to learn I can use fabric ;) Thanks a bunch for all your tips and for making me laugh!
I just noticed that you have beautiful eyes girl! I'm about to decopauge onto an old wooden cigar box that I painted and I'm turning into a jewelry box for my mom's birthday present. I figured that I better watch your tips first, because I'm pretty much a decopauge virgin. I normally just use the craft bond glue stick...
Brandi, this video is wonderful!!! Lots of great info! I absolutely love decoupaging and mod podge is what I use. However, despite my “experience” (lol), I’ve learned a lot from watching how you do it. That dry sponge thing is a gift from above. It makes a huge difference! The only time a sponge has been more useful has been when used as a contraceptive. 🤣🤣🤣 I’m kidding, don’t block me please lol! I remember the first time I tried mod podging. I asked a crafty coworker how much I should use and she suggested the same amount as when doing paper mache. Can you imagine??? Girl, I was covered in mod podge…my paper was practically a soggy ball of wrinkly disintegration…and my mood was quite poor indeed. 😂😂😂 She must have hated me and I didn’t even know it. 😝 Thanks for the tips and tricks! Sending all kinds of love and happy thoughts! 🌼🍃💛
I can't imagine hating you!! That mean co worker..lol Block you??? I'ma wait for more of those gems!! Had me ROFLMBO....SOOO funny!! Mod Podge is like a crazy miracle...lol I really do love it!
You ALWAYS give me ideas!! You are so inspiring! I have had so many subbies asking me questions lately, hopefully this helps I can start referring them to this video! Same my fingers typing so much..lol
Thank you for your tutorial! You really helped me when you said " Remember Modpodge is an adhesive" I'm sitting here saying to myself duh, why didn't I think that😂
Ginger my daughter came in and said, oh my this is so pretty. I said mhmm.. she said did you make this ..I said it's not done, she said she loved it!! Lol I got such a chuckle from it because I wanna do something to it to make it looked more finished, but she feels it's beautiful just like that💜 Let me know how your DIY turns out!!!
Brandi, this is such a wonderful decoupage video !!!👍👍I'm getting a sponge tomorrow! Last year 3 of us got together & took wooden words( blessed. gather , etc.) & decoupaged them, then lit the extra paper with a lighter, which burned right up to the exact edge of the letters!!They turned out soo good! It worked! Use with tissue paper & napkins on wood ONLY!!! We had a Lil wine & tried scrapbook paper , we almost started a 🔥! Kept a bucket of water close by then !!..ha ha Thanks for all the tips & tricks!!! Great job!! Be safe & TFS, my talented friend ❤!!
Thank you Connie! I am so happy I could help with new information....Oh yes, This is what I was saying in the video about a burn method for removing the extra napkin. I looked into that and its just not my cup of tea. I burned a few napkins on some furniture for a vintage farmhouse look and those bits get a little braisen and sometimes fly where ever...lol This is THE DIY STRUGGLE....lol I do not need EXTRA help trying to burn my DIY's down I almost do that enough...lol.. It is totally a cool concept and I appreciate the people who have mentioned it, it is just not for me...lol That is awesome you and your friends get together and do that. Mine all think it is my job to cook for them when we gather..lol
