    Re: Wrinkles. They form because the paper fibers are absorbing moisture at different rates. Solution: Give your paper a light coat of your favorite clear coat spray. This encases the fibers, so the paper absorbs moisture/adhesive at the same rate and lays down flatter.

      I’m reading this 3 months later but what type of clear coat spray? I’m not sure what you mean. I want to give myself every chance of success if I try this.

      @@susanc1179 One example is Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic matte spray. Most spray paint brands have a clear coat product.

      @@kathleenwalton3311 yes both sides. You're trying to isolate the fibers (top and bottom) from the moisture of the decoupage medium, glue, etc. Good luck.

      This method really makes it easy, of course over mouldings is tougher, flat is ideal

    I think this was one of the very best transformation by paint and decoupage that I have seen after many months of watching many transformation videos. I just decided that if I truly want to be good at this sort of thing, I need to practice a lot, watch as many of your videos as I can, and just plain be brave and try the things that I don't think I can do.

    That turned out amazing. I learned Ed to Decoupage from my mother. It really wasn't a thing in the 70s but she made us kids Collages of family photos and painted on our bedroom dressers. Kinda cool.

    Its a beautiful piece brandy. I love the tip to paint around the decoupage paper. You can't tell at all. I also love the rusty milk jug behind you and am anxious to see what you do if anything

      That was painted In to match much like the drawer sides, everything below the bottom drawer is paint

    I think it would have also looked nice leaving the red rusty nail paint between the drawers and drawer edges just to kind of break it up and sort of frame each drawer. Very pretty piece tho. Great job!❤

    absolutely beautiful. I would love to do this to some of my furniture. the problem i have is i am in NSW Australia and we don't have the same suppliers and postage is expensive.

    Stunning piece! I’ve been inspired to try so many of your techniques. My resin and Redesign with Prima mold should be delivered today! I guess this technique will be next!
