Wonderful demonstration for beginners. You do a great job in explaining the process without the unnecessary chatter that you see so much of in these types of videos. You stay on track and get right to the point. Thank you.
You are a great teacher. I like how you answer the questions I am formulating in my mind!! Also you get to the project without a lot of pre-talk... Thanks!!
I like chalk paint and decoupage. I'm not a fan of distressing, HOWEVER, this I like! I like the accent color showing beyound the primary color. That's adorable.
Hi Deanna! Beautiful piece, that paper is sooooooo gorgeous. I also love the fact that you used a regular ordinary sponge for wet distressing, I have never seen anyone use just a regular sponge. That piece would look gorgeous with some clear knobs...just beautiful. Thank you for the detailed instructions.

I love that blue! Love it! The detail on the leg is excellent. I haven't tried wet distressing as of yet but I love the no dust from sand, idea. Thanks for another great educational video. The flowers are very, very pretty. Cheers, Ivy.
@@DIYDEANNA Oh yeah, I will be for sure. I love the less dust. Love that. And I already have my soft and scruffier sponges on my work shelf. Haven't done a piece of furniture yet but two in mind. So fun. Cheers!
This is only the second of your vids I’ve watched and I’m so impressed with you! No annoying music in the background, no entertaining us with irrelevant yapping, just getting down to business doing what we are here to see. You have a pleasant voice and a friendly look about you. Of course I’ve subscribed! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️
I couldn't agree more about the music thing. And I'm a musician! It's so distracting and pulls the focus right off the instructions as I think, god I wish I could turn that background music off! Why ppl think they need that is beyond me, but I Pasadena on a video as soon as I hear it. LOL
Great instructions! You seem to cover every circumstance. Can't wait to try out the decoupage paper by Redesign w/Prima, my first project was almost a disaster with the light-weight paper, looking forward to something a little more sturdy.
Thanks for watching! I’ve done a lot of decoupage before and I have to say this paper was the easiest paper to use, didn’t tear when I moved it, I was able to smooth out all the wrinkles, no bubbles. I hope you like it!
I built a pie safe/cabinet using reclaimed wood from a house that was about 100 years old. Had to make shelves and back out of plywood but the rest is cut from shiplap that came off walls. Your painting ideas helped a lot. First time I have send chalk paint.

Nice! I love the distressing look, and Annie Sloan’s chalk paint is fantastic to do this as well as the decoupage “tissue” paper! Thank you for sharing🙏🏻
You did a beautiful piece here. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and I wanted to tell you that I am a new subscriber because I like your content very much
Thank you Deanna for sharing your talents. Love the dresser and watching your videos. Your teaching videos have been very helpful in learning how to repurpose furniture with Chalk Paint and so much more. You have given me the confidence to try a project on my own, that I have been so wanting to do.

New subscriber. I love that you use Annie Sloan paint and wax. I love her products, they r the best quality. I’ve done this method many times and they look great. Her paint and wax holds up beautifully. Love how this turned out.
Also new to your channel. Loved what you did. I have tried chalk painting but you have shown me lot's of tips I wasn't aware of. I'm looking forward to more of your videos.
Always enjoy your great videos Deanna. Your teaching style is very pleasant and easy to follow along. Thanks for sharing. I wish you could post more videos. Blessings.
I am new to your channel. Great video! Short and to the point and yet very detailed. I liked how you presented each step. I am not a big fan of the "distressed" look but I know it is very desirable. If it were me I would have added some sort of drawer pull. I understand why you didn't, though. That said, as a purchaser I would think I'd have to make a trip to the hardware store and that would annoy me. The dresser turned out beautifully. Hope you sold it for a great price. Thanks for your time in doing this video.
I just started following and so happy that I watched your video. You did such a great job teaching us noobs and I loved that floral pattern. I can't wait to order and try it. Thank you so much for teaching us.
1:42 I've always wanted to do a chair using this technique and 4 colors of paint. The seat, rungs and top of the back (wherever chairs get handled the most) would get worn down to wood, leavings halos around the perimeters of the separate colors imitating many generations of use.
@@DIYDEANNAI saw this on my gram's kitchen chairs and the technique on a show many years ago but they were using wax to protect the colors as they went. Seemed like a lot of work to only take it off again. I'll have to wait for someone to do it and post.
Although the paper you used is not my style, I appreciate what a great job you did. I could never have put paper on in that contorted way you had to stand so we could see what you were doing! ☺️☺️☺️ 👏👏👏👏 🥰🥰
Wow ! the exact character of the blue emerging leg details resonates powerfully somehow with some remembered Chinese porcelain masterpiece so much so that ( a. ) it very closely resembles porcelain ( to my eyes ) and ( b. ) is now becoming a vehicle for displaying blue and white porcelain objects .
