OK, how have I not found you on youtube until now??? These were some of the most beautiful makeovers I've seen in a long time! And I love that they were more Anthropologie themed versus farmhouse/distressed. So refreshing and fantastic! I'm inspired.
@@cherylmacedo5521 ditto to your ditto ditto! only found her this morning.. happily bingeing now ! :) loving how she made the gold leaf on the picture look like brickwork.. stunning
Anyone new to leafing, a useful tip is to lift your leaves using a wide wallpaper brush - the sort that fits in your palm - to pick up the leaf. Some leaf artists just touch their cheek lightly with the tip of the bristles. It transfers _just_ enough oil to make the leaf cling to the bristle ends, and then you can be very directional as to where you place your leaf. It's just a bit easier than trying to handle it with your fingers, which can rapidly turn into a bit of a disaster! 😬
Thank you so much for your tutorials ~ finally i am able to get past some creative blocks. you are inspiration, I appreciate your hard work into making these videos in your channel
Hi Deanna...I love what you did with this lamp, I like that you left some white on the shade and didn't cover the whole thing....The gold background is amazing on the wall art, turned out gorgeous...keep them coming girl, it's been a long winter here in Ontario, in lockdown....Take care...stay safe...
LOVE both of them, especially the lamp. I'm not into the farmhouse look so your channel is so refreshing. Also, it's great that you don't talk about stuff outside of the projects you're doing. Some people have a 30 minute video that only needs to be 10 minutes. I don't have a great deal of time so that's refreshing too. Thank you!
Thanks so much for your feedback! I appreciate you taking the time to leave this comment. I make these videos to teach and inspire others so it’s always great to hear what people like and don’t like to see in a video!
All I can say is WOWSERS I am truly impressed with both of these projects!!!!!!!!!! I have never worked with transfers but you have definitely changed my mind. I have already checked my " frame " situation and might have to go to village to see what they have that has a good frame and sturdy back. I am late coming to your site but better late then never. I was looking for ideas to spruce up some old lamps I have. So thank you very much for the ideas and for providing an excellent video for me to learn from. Well done!!!!!!!!! I have subscribed for more ideas and will
I do not do this type of crafting but I want to learn. I like the results of both projects! I probably would wax the transfer on the Asian look gold picture. It looks like a pricey piece of art!
Really liked the print and lamp think the lamp was my favorite. Funny thing about this projects is the I want to get started on doing paper transfer and your video really helped. Thank you
I was obsessed with rub-on transfer books when I was little. :) 21:15 Supervisor check-in. LOL The lamp came out so nicely. The art piece looks Japanese inspired which I really like.
These really turned out beautifully. I had no idea you could do what you just did. I use rubbing transfers and I use gold leaf but I didn't know they could go together.
