Me too! I normally watch short videos as I’m not a fan of waffle… but this was absolutely worth the time. the Result is stunning and the explanation of each step was excellent. Thank you so much again
A far easier way to decoupage, is to paint on your glue and wait for it to dry. When it's completely dry, place your decoupage paper over the top, then place parchment paper on top. Use a small crafting iron or travel iron to iron the decoupage paper in place. A low heat setting will activate the glue and the paper will stick with no wrinkles and no bubbles. This eliminates the need for all this rubbing. Use a craft knife, not a palette knife to separate edges. Also, always iron creases out of the decoupage paper first. Try it!
Yeah I’ve tried it that way I’ve got a tutorial over on my Facebook page and it works beautifully just a little bit fiddly open over all of the rebates/panels in the cupboard doors but it’s a great shout and a great comment😊❤️🙏

Ha ha that’s made me smile the book does look kind of real almost three-dimensional but mostly I want to say thank you for your lovely message and welcome to my channel happy creating in my most favourite place of the world Greece 😊😊❤️
This is a brilliant and beautiful way to decoupage a piece of furniture. It gives depth and creativity and wrinkles gives texture that naturally ages decoupage. Thank you and I’m definitely going to try these techniques.
I have 2 very dear family pieces that need so much love. Have been considering decoupage for them. When you started with pink I thought “Oh no. I am NOT a pink person”. How wrong I was! So glad I kept watching! What a sweet whimsical piece! Thank you for this 💕
I'm with you. My colors are purple 💜/ violets, and green s, and cranberry) Burgundy and spring/ olive Greens. However a chest with strong violets would be hideous with my colors scheme. Light lavender darkened around the edges might look really good!!
Wow! Absolutely stunning. Looks like a beautiful watercolor. Truely amazing and you make it look so easy! Another piece of your furniture that I'm in love with 💕
Wow! You are an artist & an excellent teacher, for me as a noob to this whole scene there was a lot of ‘trust the process’ whilst you were spritzing but I was excited to see the end result & it didn’t disappoint. Thank you for sharing all the little tips & tricks 😊
Jonathan, I can see now-- during your completion of Stage One; you're creating a masterpiece. This change will result in a furniture piece that is so much more beautiful than the original. Thank you for sharing your techniques, and your receommendations for getting the very best results as well. Thank You!
Jonathan, you're a Genius, because you finished the furniture beautifully, and then added the Beetle! I love your ideas, and I love how you move right along while feeling every single detail of your project. Thank you very much!
Wow, this is stunningly beautiful! How inspiring! I loved the way you slowly showed the details of the finished product up close and all over at the end of your video! Thank you for doing that, it was very considerate of you. I am so inspired I have to subscribe! :) Thank you so much for sharing this lovely form of art.
I am so happy I found your video by chance, I just loved watching your work. I will have to go through your videos to learn how to do as you've done. 🎨🖌 such talent. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Oh wow! You make me believe that I could do this! Wonderful. Really enjoy your style of video making and teaching as well. I am 3/4 way through...saving the big end and SWEET reveal for after dinner dessert :D
Love this! Thank you for the inspiration. I’ve taken a zip lock bag, cut it to one layer and spread my napkin with water using a fan brush. You can then apply the napkin directly to wherever you want to position it, gently pull up the bag, and you have a perfect no wrinkle design. Apply glue over it. I like to add paint (as in this tutorial) to bring together all the applied napkins, also painting a touch here and there of twigs, branches, etc to the “floral arrangement”! One technique I haven’t tried is using the small iron on top of parchment paper to adhere the napkin to the dried glue. I believe I’ll love that the best, if I ever do another project. ❤️🥰 All different methods are on video as a diy, easy to find I’m sure.
I subscribed immediately..your techniques, the order of your techniques, the reasons for each, made this vintage faded floral technique a keeper! What a magnificent transformation!
This was a fabulous project to watch and done to perfection as always! I love the paper napkins used for the project and the blending technique. I have been keeping an eye open for nice design napkins, but am still looking. They do make such a wonderful decoupage and your creative design layout is all the more intriguing by how you compose a lovely composition. Thank you and you are a huge inspiration for my aspirations.
Hello again, Jonathon. The trompe l'oeil beetle with the shadow made of eye shadow deserves a chef's kiss for both whimsy and ingenuity. You've made me want to go shopping for make-up. I know better than to borrow some from the wife. I'm pretty sure that would end in a court battle for the dog. I love your running watercolor technique, as well. I'm amazed that the watercolor coat didn't require a varnish layer to protect it. I do prefer a wax topcoat anyway. Wood just seems happier under wax. How much water can mix with Annie Sloan without breaking the binding to the point of causing a flaking problem, or is that just never an issue with Annie? Next time someone asks me about decoupage, I am directing them to this video. I've never seen any more creative or with results that I find more aesthetically pleasing. Thank you for sharing your furniture art with the masses.
Shut Up!! !!!!! This was one of the best hours I've spent in a long time. So excited to do this technique. I love the finished product......thank you!

I can’t believe you did this with napkins. It is so gorgeous 😮
I just loved how this turned out you explained everything perfectly great job.
It’s a masterpiece that’s all I can really say! I love the tutorial as always because it’s so detailed!
P.S.The only “flaw” is the bug it makes me want to swat it! Let me explain I live in Greece (warm climates=roaches)😂😂😂
😄same here in southern USA-- monster roaches, very scary 😆🤣
Ha ha that’s made me smile the book does look kind of real almost three-dimensional but mostly I want to say thank you for your lovely message and welcome to my channel happy creating in my most favourite place of the world Greece 😊😊❤️
Absolutely beautiful ! Do you cut the edges of the doors also ? I’m in love ❤️
Really like how you go into details. Learned so much.
Absolutely stunning!!! I absolutely love this piece. You are so talented. 🙏🏼❤️
It does look better then before
This is a brilliant and beautiful way to decoupage a piece of furniture. It gives depth and creativity and wrinkles gives texture that naturally ages decoupage. Thank you and I’m definitely going to try these techniques.
Thank you very much and I wish you very well for your project. Just enjoy yourself ❤️🙏😊
thanks for your creative generosity:) I was able to take away some very valuable info about decoupage with napkins. cheers
I have 2 very dear family pieces that need so much love. Have been considering decoupage for them. When you started with pink I thought “Oh no. I am NOT a pink person”. How wrong I was! So glad I kept watching! What a sweet whimsical piece! Thank you for this 💕
Oh thank you very much I think pink can be a tough colour to use, but if you get it right it can be beautiful 😊❤️🙏
I'm with you. My colors are purple 💜/ violets, and green s, and cranberry) Burgundy and spring/ olive Greens. However a chest with strong violets would be hideous with my colors scheme. Light lavender darkened around the edges might look really good!!
A beautiful work of art......
Ive just found you. What a lovely demo, thank you sooo much x
YOU ARE SO CLEVER!!!!
Wow! Absolutely stunning. Looks like a beautiful watercolor. Truely amazing and you make it look so easy! Another piece of your furniture that I'm in love with 💕
Thank you so much I have to say I really enjoyed creating this piece of furniture 😊❤️🙏
Wow! You are an artist & an excellent teacher, for me as a noob to this whole scene there was a lot of ‘trust the process’ whilst you were spritzing but I was excited to see the end result & it didn’t disappoint. Thank you for sharing all the little tips & tricks 😊
"Bravo Darling... Bravo"

These pieces are drop dead gorgeous...........!
This piece is so incredibly beautiful. Your artistry is elegant and soft. Totally my cup of tea! Btw...Love your voice & your energy!
Thank you very much I’m not sure that I love my own voice that much but I’ll take it 😊❤️🏆
Thankyou so much🙏your work is beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much🙏
Oh wow! You make me believe that I could do this! Wonderful. Really enjoy your style of video making and teaching as well. I am 3/4 way through...saving the big end and SWEET reveal for after dinner dessert :D
Thank you so much I hope you enjoyed the video in its entirety with your project 😊❤️🙏
All different methods are on video as a diy, easy to find I’m sure.
I love love love this, and I'm so excited to try some of these techniques. Thank you x
It’s all my pleasure please be sure to send me any pictures of future projects 😊🙏❤️
Wow that is an amazing technique ..I think I will try this on canvas
I subscribed immediately..your techniques, the order of your techniques, the reasons for each, made this vintage faded floral technique a keeper! What a magnificent transformation!
Thank you so much for subscribing I’m truly grateful and I hope some of the other tutorials will keep on inspiring happy creating 😊❤️🙏
Superb talent!! Gorgeous piece especially giving a watercolor flare to the paper. 👍💯
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 😊
