I know you have a few videos to replace a 2ZZ GE timing-chain cover gasket for Celicas, but you think you could make a complete process for a 2ZZ GE Corolla XRS.
nice, yeah that clutch is definitely oem. I can spot those toyota oem rubber damper "springs" anywhere. Hows the clutch so far? I love my exedy. Did you check out those 1 piece chro-mo flywheels off flea bay? I run one on my 2zz celi (about 1 year), and my bro has it on his 1zz, 6speed mr2 (about 3 years), they are light and look/feel good and solid for the price.
@@mengx94 are you making stock or close to stock power still? What clutch are you going to run? I just recommend getting new flywheel and pressure plate bolts.
ended up getting monkeywrench's chromoly flywheel. that ebay flywheel was too thin at the mating surface and caused my engine to lock up with the arp bolts.
I had one installed in my c60 after removing it and sending it to monkey wrench racing. They did a pretty good job. I believe the charged like 300 for the instal.
Oh, that stupid ass bracket made it a bitch to get to those 2 14mm in the back. Gonna do this job again. Fun
And yeah that's the original clutch. Broken flex plate was probably the issue
it was, car drives so much better after i replaced it
Damn nice video man 👌. This video will def come in handy when I replace clutch on my GTS
glad to hear that lol
Throw out bearings can be a pain. Def looks like there is some wear/rubbing. Get an OEM bearing replacement, I’ve had trouble with aftermarket brands
+1 to this.
my exedy throw out bearing has been good for littel under 20k with no issues
Really good video, and Thanks for the info.
Just wandering if you have any place in SoCal where you could do jobs.
No, sorry

I'm about to throw one into mine. I hope it holds well 😬

Stock lol. I got the gripforce kit. Came with oem exedy kit. I gotta tighten down the arp flywheel bolts. Installed incorrectly

Just saw your celica near the livermore walmart today. Looks sick irl.
No way lol 😂 if you spot my car and have Instagram upload the pic and tag me! Hahaha
I want to put a quaife differential on my 03 xrs. Any tips or words of advice? Id be ordering it from mwr

i will eventually do that in the future and make a video about it.
That's what's up. I think my xrs would rly kick ass in the snow with it. I've put some trucks to shame even with peg legs on her
@@fostinator69 Just a word of caution, the quaife lsd despite being excellent it can create a tendency to oversteer in the rain if your not careful.
How much can you get 1 of these transmission for?
600+
Would the process be the same for a matrix xrs?
yes
What do I need to swap automatic to manual matrix xr 06 ...?
shift cables, engine harness, ecu, shifter, flywheel and clutch
@@2zzlow on the ecu do I need to replace it ..?
Yea
@@2zzlow need to put shift paddle ..?
Having same exact issue with my GTS
I will admit, I was driving my XRS hard and think thats why my pressure plate cracked. you should probably check yours.
Where can I find an xrs
craigslist or facebook marketplace.
I have one
Bruh you make me wanna get a 2zz
naaaa
Fuck that L bracket it only holds the exhaust
To me it seems like it puts less stress on the exhaust manifold studs.
Bro i need you to get on SKYPE WITH ME I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS ON THE XRS
Message me on Instagram I reply quicker
Sorry I just seen this man, can you please drop your @?
