I'd get him one of those clear thin boxes and put a screw into it he can put the hook on the screw and will free up his hands and give a nice steady platform he can place as close or far away for the most comfort hope this helps!!!

If your hands shake, you're going to have trouble getting the hook seated properly and very likely to have trouble threading as well.

I'd have trouble trusting something to tie my knots for me when setting up the device is more complicated than tying the knot in the first place.
