All these tools seem like a bigger pain than just tying the knot by hand.
I only have my thumb and little finger on my right hand, result of a work accident many years ago. I can still tie this knot, little bit of a challenge when I first learned how to do it..

That thing puts too much line twist into the braid
There's got to be a simpler knot to join the leader with braid. These crazy knots are reason enough for me to not bother using braided line.
uni to uni is one
The surgeon’s knot, I fish Tuna and run a 2ft 30lb fluorocarbon leader to my 80lb JBraid, carry a variety of leader 30-40-50-60 & 80lb. pull off about 3ft each use to make this connection and leave enough to tie hook on after connecting the leader. Back on and fishing in a minute!
If you’re fishing freshwater try the double uni knot. It is only a 75% to 80% strength knot versus the PR knot featured in this video which is a 100% strength knot, but if you factor that into your selection of line strength you should be ok. Lots of anglers use the double uni with great success.
Lots of easy knots, few that are 100% strength and none as easy to run through the guides as the FG. The PR is pretty close though.
