For me i go off a stream if they don’t interact with chat. Even people with 100-300 rise and think it’s impossible. But it’s defiently not. That’s why i don’t like watching bigger streamers, but i always scroll down to zero viewers and ask say “Hey are you having a good Day?” If they don’t say Hey in about 20-40 sec i just leave the stream. But if they are like “Hey i’m having a good Day what about you?” Then i say good and then it starts.... They should say something like “Great i’m happy to hear that.” (They don’t have to say that but haha) and then they just need to start a conversation! I know it sounds complicated, but it’s really not. Then i ofc follow and stick on the stream.
I totally agree, that's why I like to seize the moment when a viewer talks to me in chat, interaction with them is more important than the game I'm playing.
I didn't know my stream crashed once and talked to myself for 30 minutes before I noticed I wasn't live..Everyone laughed so hard when I came back and told them . I was like, guys I thought you all left or got bored! Was a great laugh lol
Y'all ever think that maybe, just maybe the problem is the viewers? Ppl CHOOSE to view certain streams regardless to whether or not the stream is good. Ppl tend to only go to streams that already have a great deal of views FIRST. They migrate towards channels that already have it made VS really good streams who don't have a lot of views & fancy obs visuals. A lot of channels are SO underrated simply because they aren't being given the chance because they don't have the clout. Ppl should start going to & visiting smaller streams. Just because they don't have views doesn't mean their stream isn't good. Y'all gotta stop only being attracted to these big channels that have many views. Js sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, ppl gravitate toward channels that are already popular. 🤷🏾♀️ js maybe...
I feel you, and its a trend that is noticeable in every entertainment job (The big block buster movies, the famous pop stars, etc...) but there somewhat of a good reason to it. There a lot of underrated channels out there indeed BUT its simply more difficult to find them. Clicking on any game and scrolling down to the 0 to 10 viewers streamer, its gonna be 90% of unwatchable streams. Most people don't have time to go through dozens of boring, quiet, low quality streams hoping to maybe find 1 that's worth watching. But there's also layers to it, for example the chat itself is another source of entertainment you won't find in a small channel. Anyways all that being said, all these big channels started exactly like us, with 0 viewers
Only subscribed because... well the video was great but I really liked that you waited till the end to share about your merch and the “Ad” part of the video 👍🏽
I’ve watched 2 of your videos, and I have so far gained knowledge I can use. I started twitch last year for a month, gained 6 followers and 1 viewer. Stopped for a while until I restarted in September this year. I have 60 followers and 0.89 concurrent viewers
To my experience. It only depends how the viewers are interested watching your stream. Past seven days I get some, but not much. The first lesson is we all learn from our mistakes, hopefully how the streamers may get viewers watching their gameplay, and keep them entertaining.
I fined a cool way to keep viewers is to ask them questions, like if hey ask what movies you like, you should answer and then ask them, it helps the conversation flow

Most of the reason is because Twitch it’s self is saturated. I would advise starting streaming on RUclips where it is less saturated and moving to Twitch when you build a viewer base.
Great RUclips videos bro love it! With the low energy streams etc. My stream is very niche I play Simulators so it is a very chilled out vibe anyway. Beers and simulation and it works for me and my viewers. But I totally get that.

I streamed for about a week without really talking and no web cam. I was only keeping 2 or 3 people watching.. after that, I got a web cam and started talking more. I got a few more viewers but I noticed I was able to maintain more than 10 to 15 when I rambled with my firend for 3 FREAKING HOURS. I didn't realize how hard that is while not talking about politics, religion or other touchy subjects. I have to work on my energy and talking. I haven't done any marketing and will soon by creating youtube videos and advertising my stream on fb. One if the big things I fight with is my potty mouth and working 70+ hours lol
Unrelated to this video but, I recently bought a pack off your website and would like to give you my feedback on it. Much love on the prices on the packs and would be using these on my stream. Thanks a lot!
Hi there! I'm completely new to streaming... about a week... and that first week I was kinda glad no one was really watching yet cuz I was still trying to find my groove and get comfortable plus technical issues but now I'm ready. I get that I should talk even if no one is talking in chat... but what about for a noob with 0 people in it... what do I talk about? Should I keep talking or just mind my business until someone mercifully stops by? Lol btw it's an art stream so when there's crickets for company I am usually just drawing and saying nothing... occasionally I'll talk to myself and say what I'm doing but should I just be talking to myself the whole time? Thanks for entertaining my noob question! :) love this video series! Its really helpful!
You know what's also awkward? If i am talking during streams or when someone follows i acknowledge them. And sometimes they don't respond. At some streams i am like talking about 2 to 3 hours. Depending on the length of the stream.
My problem is, I literally have nothing to talk about out of nowhere to no one watching me. There’s no one writing anything in chat trying to interact with me.
Me and my friends laugh and joke around when playing, yet people who are boring get more views. So stupid man. All cause I don't have that fancy stuff when people follow and all that.
My biggest advice is stop worrying and comparing yourself to others, you don't know what they did or how long it took them to grow. Focus on yourself and you'll be just fine
You are helping me! I am trying to implement your methods if i become successful it will be because i am learning from you. U are really knowledgeable 😍😍
Is there any good videos that you may recommend that would show me how to advertise my stream on Twitter, maybe something that helps me understand what I am doing wrong in that platform.
only stumbled on this video today.. very valuable info!! but what is your opinion about being a virtual youtuber with a character (that still moves and is interactive) instead of showing your face on stream??
i love your advice, but I couldn't hide my love for God from others simply because it could be offensive. ppl shouldn't be judged for their religion period.
I gotta admit, hearing the prejudice point is pretty discouraging. Watching a different tip video, from someone else, one of the main points they stressed was to not use not having a pc setup as an excuse. That charisma will draw and retain some people. But considering you actually have a sample size from doing polls to back you up, it's hard to stay optimistic. I have the streamelements bot set up so it notifies in chat and I almost immediately notice it and very gratefully shout whoever out. But hearing this it makes it seem like even that isn't good enough. I'd absolutely love to have overlays and nice notifications. But at the moment, my laptop is just a dual core so therefor doesn't meet the elgato requirements. I'm trying to work with what I got to the best of my abilities.
Woah woah woah, as long as you immediately acknowledge the viewer you're good really. I've seen console streamer do amazing stuff, you can have obs on that laptop and have audio alerts, I've people draw on a piece of cardboard "be right back" and playing music in the background. The message there was to make sure you acknowledge any supportive action: host, follow, sub, cheer, raid, donation. Most streamers don't do that, so if you do, you're already better :) I also preach that there are no excuses for not creating good content. I have 0.7mbps upload speed, stream at 480p 30fps and still drop frames, I make it work. Personality is the only "important" thing you need.
WHat pisses me off on a Stream is: Using a unknown or a obscure platform like DLive or Facebook(I hate Facebook streams). The reason for that is that they don't usually have a plugin on the system I watch on.
I click away streamers who have an online persona. Big or small streamers doesn't matter, acting can only get you so far, but will destroy/takeover your mental health. I wouldn't want to meet streamers who have a online persona in IRL, since they're not genuine or being real with themselves.

Hate to be that guy, but I streamed on mixer and was pretty popular. I averaged 10/15 views constantly every stream. I switched to twitch and no one has watched me at all the past couple months. I just need help understanding why (my twitch- TFile) if you have any tips please please help.... this has been my dream for way to long
I click off as soon as they start being Negative Nancys or talk too vulgar. I look to have fun and laugh not to get angry and pissed off. So attitude is a BIG factor for me. Also if every other word is ummmm..... I .... ummmmm.... maybe..... ummmmm..... yeah like I'm gone if that's the case. If you need to think or anything do it out loud, or do a little dance while you are thinking, anything is better than .......ummmmm....

Even i am in PS4 I have alerts, it is easy , just look on youtube and u have many options. Be careful! Woldnt recommand overlay expert because it works to be visual only on pc!!!
u say they dont watch because they arent super hyped up like the horrible ninja. only thing is tho ive came across tons of super chill streamers that are super successful raking in the money that were never super hyped. always chilled. you will act on stream to atract the kinds of people you want on your stream. good video tho and good overall tips

Love the comment, i'm currently uploading a video about audio ^^
Yes! I will unfollow and leave asap if people use soundboards with really loud noises, or if the follow and sub alerts are crazy loud.
Fuck off I got silent cause nobody is watching so ehats the point ight
One thing about dead games, though...the retro category begs to differ on the validity of that argument.

Do you think making your stream 18+ when starting out is limiting? Like I should be making it teen rated to start. Ps- I can’t stand disingenuous streamers. Ones that seem like they could care less if you followed/donated
The 18+ option doesn't limit your audience at all on twitch, its more for you to be safe against complaints. Hate to be that guy, but I streamed on mixer and was pretty popular. I averaged 10/15 views constantly every stream. I switched to twitch and no one has watched me at all the past couple months. I just need help understanding why (my twitch- TFile) if you have any tips please please help.... this has been my dream for way to long
i been streaming over year now on twitch n youtube n am still learning how to get more views on my twitch n youtube
Less than three shirt! That's creative.
What is the cheap basic camera for a beginning the streams ? , I'm actually on a low budget trying to build up my cash/Budget setup.
King Waya808 can never go wrong with the logitech c920. It’s $47.99 and has great 1080p HD video
how can i get away from low energy...
If you need to think or anything do it out loud, or do a little dance while you are thinking, anything is better than .......ummmmm....
lol Do a little dance, Make a little love is actually my thing lol My viewers love it and wait for the opportunity to do it
Same, speech is really important to me. mumbling streamers, or people who don't understand how their mics work make me click away
im thinking about shutting my channel down..... this used to be a drinking channel.... i quit drinking a started gaming on this channel.... but no one watches..... im ready to give up :(
No one likes a quitter Steve.... now get back to drinking 🍺
little late but i broke my mic and my new one will be here in the next 2 weeks how can i stream without a mic
If u are in console is nothing. If u now u fix everything from a laptop or pc. If u dont search in youtube!👍
Even i am in PS4 I have alerts, it is easy , just look on youtube and u have many options. Be careful! Woldnt recommand overlay expert because it works to be visual only on pc!!!
What u think abt Streaming Simracing?
Heck I found a fun New game by looking at the popular on Mixer. New to streaming so, I'm trying to grow it
u say they dont watch because they arent super hyped up like the horrible ninja. only thing is tho ive came across tons of super chill streamers that are super successful raking in the money that were never super hyped. always chilled. you will act on stream to atract the kinds of people you want on your stream. good video tho and good overall tips
I just started streaming and none of my family noes i stream
Low interaction with no chat? Huh, what?
I haven't gotten a single viewer on my mixer and I stream every night
Mixer- RestlessShark54
I want to be the streamer that isn't try hard and gives to their fans constantly
Eden Childers same here man 😔😔 the struggles
Yo cant find you on mixer or I would follow
Text to speech is available on ps4
What’s the Facebook page you’re an admin of? Also if I post a video or photo, is it best to post a video of the game you’re playing or a random clip?
A vid of the game you're playing is better because it'll catch the attention of people who are interested in the game, other will just scoll down.

Read the rules, fill out the form, or you'll get declined
...when its game time i like to game... not talk n talk n talk..... i have the pub and my mrs to do that.... game time is game time..

WHAT if we do talk in our streams and introduce people to the stream and say sup hows your day been man what you been streaming or something the fuck i TALK HAVE WEB CAM AND FACE CAM .i am not aloud to be loud i live with my parents they hate it when i get loud . i stream in the morning for that reason .
