I’m 16 and I have been struggling with my dead hair for a long time. This video has really helped me ! My hair as a black girl is the most important thing to me and I just want my curls back, I just want to be able to maintain it, I just want to be confident with the natural of it. I have been told I need a big chop, but like I said as a black girl that’s so hard for me
i know right i been going to my beauty salon for almost 5 years now, and every time i wash my hair its STRaight but no curls which is sad for me. because i want my curls back! and i def. don't want a big chop b/c i am a black girl too. I totally agree with you
Hammie my hair smelt like that when i first started transitioning. trust me, it goes away. Edit: I started transitioning in November of 2019 and I’m still not completely done. Once your hair is straight there’s really no coming back unless you get new growth
Omg! Recovering from my first silk press right now. I was crying about to cut it all off because I didn’t know how to bring my curls back and your video was so helpful!! Thank you for saving me from an unneeded big chop😭😭😭🙏🏽❤️❤️
Didn’t get a silk press but I straightened my hair for like 2 years and I didn’t do it very correctly. However, my whole head of hair is fine like my curls are there and fine but my bangs are FRIED because my bangs are the most important part of my hair in my opinion. My goal for my bangs is to transition out of heat damage and I want to grow my bangs to my chin and right now my bangs are at my eyes (half of my bangs are already curly and is good.) if any of y’all have any tips then I’d love 2 hear 😄
I just went through this last year and it's a serious process. I love your curl pattern and you for giving us the REAL truth. I'm not sure if you've ever used the Not Your Mother's products, but their deep conditioner is AWESOME. The Royal Honey Naturals Set is life!!!
TheKeyisME thank you and it’s actually a lot more healthy since I made this comment and I also just got box braids on Saturday so it’s looking up for me😊
CoversByKeke yess!! 😍 Be sure to keep your hair moisturized with those braids. I love the leave in conditioning spray by Cantu. Keep me posted on your journey ❤️
Oh my gosh. Like can we be friends?!?! First of all you are absolutely beautiful. I feel like I’ve known you my whole life just watching your video for the first time. I literally cannot wait to watch more of your videos. Girl I did my hair so wrong even after the big chop. I’m a black Puerto Rican who grew up in a white household. No one ever taught me this stuff. So what did I do growing up- relaxers and keratin treatments etc. I totally screwed up this hair especially with all the heat. This video gave me hope. Thank you so much!!!
Currently experiencing heat damage and have been depressed all day. It grew out so much and I'm considering cutting it again. It seems I can't keep my hair healthy AND long at the same time. I'm hoping I have some good afternoon watching this video.
I have bad hair damage. My hair does no grow fast and I always got it straightened cause my mother said it's the only way I will get into a good college. Well I decided to go natural in the middle of 2020 because I love my curls. My curls are coming back slowly but surely. I don't put any heat in my hair. The front of my hair is definitely more damaged but it's getting better. As for the back, it was never truly damaged. my curls are poppin back there. Your hair looks amazing. I hope my hair will bounce back as well
so happy i ran across your video. I was literally seconds away from flat ironing my natural hair i just don't know what else to do to it :( i have BAD heat damage so i just been wearing buns or braids but i miss my flat irons and weave. i can't do these closures it just looks a mess to me. but i refuse to add more damage. Im happy you posted this video thank you so much for the boost. i guess ill go throw my hair in a ponytail UGGH! lol
Ashley Cne' ❤️❤️ you have to try a closure wig from me!!! It won’t look a mess lol protective styling was the other way my hair reverted back. I literally had to keep my hands out of it

I've been straightening my hair for some months. I used heat protectant and everything. Now that it is getting warm, I am ready to stop and go back to my curly hair. I just washed my hair and my curls are not popping. My hair is very long, I am not cutting my hair. I am praying your video will help me😭
Yes girlfriend 👏🏾I agree with you. You are one of the influencers that turned me to crochet protective styling. Now 5 years later my hair is 100% natural and longer than its ever been. Plus I cut my hair a lot more now because it grows back and its underneath anyway so you miss nothing 👍🏾
Hey sis, I’m new to your channel. I love your content.😍 As a cosmetologist and a straight natural, you’re doing a great job having a routine. Looking at your hair you’re Low Porosity. Keep up the good work 👏
I get braids without our blow drying, after washing my hair I braid my hair in six braids to stretch it. I do it two days before getting my hair braid.
I do what jasmine do. When I go get knotless braids they still try to blow dry I tell them NO heat it’s already stretched (I go to the african braiding shop) and they put the blow dryer down. If they cant braid without blow drying I get up and walk out
I got heat damage and just freaked out so I cut 3 inches this morning. I am so ticked. I think it was the heat protectant. Some heat protectants have oil in them so when you put the flat iron on it, it fried it.
I have 2 Pieces in the front that got burnt and it curls but not curly like my hair and I want to cut it more short because they are like little bangs should I just cut it shorter or should I try different methods
Even though I gotten complements from others with my natural, my hair still is stuck being straight with it being curly at the ends because of me putting it into a bun. I really want my curls back.
Hi, my daughter sent me your video, my hair was curly, I'm dealing with cancer and to my my meds have straghten my hair, I miss my curls and really don't know how to handle my hair now, do you think this protein will help me get my curls back ?
I been getting Dominican blow outs but now I’m about to sister loc my hair so I want my natural hair back now my kinky ness is not on the ends so I need help
Can this also work on bleached damaged hair? My curls look still fine but they dont look anywhere near my old curls. I went from a 4A/3C to a 3B and really want to get my tighter curls back
I’m transitioning but some of my ends are curling up but the curls are looser and I’m kinda confused if they are still heat damaged or just naturally looser but I don’t know my ends would be like type 3 when my head is (what I think is) type 4.
I’m so late to this video but how long did it take you to transition ? I just did a big chop 4 months ago & my hair is still damaged & I see no difference
and dark castor oil for hair growth. I mix it with other hair oils to liquify. Sweet almond is a good one as it helps with split ends 1ounce dark castor oil 2 ounce other hair oil. Summertime hair grows more go outside and get some natural vitamin D. When you apply it if you feel your scalp tingling that mean your follicles are being stimulate=Growth
My left front quadrant is completely fried/damaged. It messes up my whole curly vibe. I’ve worn my hair straight my whole life. Haven’t relaxed my hair since June 2009. Haven’t put put heat to my hair since December 2019 & my curls have flourished except for that one damn quadrant.. I was just about to shave my shit like Cassie 😩 y’all pray for me 😭

I think imma install knotless braids on myself for a month to keep from cutting . I’m not even gonna blow out my hair . I don’t know what else to do . I did my second protein treatment. But the fact that I spend hours on a style only for it to look limp ain’t it .
This is literally me rn😭. My hair been healthy for like 4 years. I get my hair straightened ONCE and I feel like I’ve wasted all my hard work on my hair😭. Did your hair bounce back yet?
Would this work the same for any damaged hair? I’m in the military, so i wear my hair in a bun 5-6 days a week and now the top front were I part my hair is wavy instead of coily.

How often did you do the protein treatment
Was it with every wash?
I’m not sure this was recorded years ago! All of that information should be in the video
