My kadhi is slightly different then this. But I know urs the best. Where ever us Gujarati go... We take 3 things with us 1) masjid 2) madressa 3) a kadhi khichdi :) 👍🙏
Hi I'd just like to know what heat did you leave the rice when you left it to cook? Also how long did the rice take to cook? And did you drain the rice or was the water naturally absorbed? Thanks, I love your recipes they are really helping me out as I'm learning how to cook! 😊

Cook with Anisa yours is a bit more technical, my mum does it a more simpler way but it still tastes yum. We also do the spicy potatoes in slices than cubes. Yours look so yummy tho Mashallah
I tried it. Turned out delicious. Thank you. Had one slight problem though. The dahl didn’t soften well. Should we not boil it a little first and then add the rice. Please let me know. I want to make it again.
I have normally always cooked the dhal with the rice. However I know with some dhal, depending on the brand, the dhal can take longer to cook. In that case, yes, you can absolutely cook the dhal first so it softens. Thank you so much for trying this recipe out. 🙌😁

Hi anisa do you have a recipe for white khichdi? We use to have it as a summer dish, called it gorwoh khichri lol. Was white rice with a spicy yoghurt sauce on top..

Assalamualaykum sister. Did your Toor dhal cook properly, mine does not when I add together with the rice. First I soak the dhal, then I cook it in the vagaar water until almost soft then I add the rice and they finish cooking together.
Cook with Anisa I don't add the tomatoes and I blend all my ingredients together and then boil. Would love to see if there is a difference in the change 😊

Cook with Anisa hey sis I use split moong dhal in my kichri and my khadi is very basic made with yogurt, gram flour and water (i like it runny) with added green chilli and garlic crushed and tempered with fenugreek seed, mustard seeds and khadi leaves xxx

I parboiled the toor dhal prior to boiling further with the rice because my dhal came out to hard the first time...
