Vignettes on each of them but mostly Ringo. Could you convince Ron Howard to work on that? I'm very curious about the English Public school system. Ever since I saw the movie Melody in the early 70's
It’s peak early Beatles! I see Revolver as a transitional album that crossed the divide between early and late Beatles. Rubber Soul is the best of the early Beatles, and has some of their best songs. Great guitar tones as well. Also has a couple stinkers, but flaws create contrast that makes the good songs better

This album was transformative. When it came out, I listened to it for days and days, just taking it in. (14 years later, we played In My Life at our wedding). 1965 was an astounding year for music: electric Bob Dylan (Like A Rolling Stone); rock's great anthem, the Stones' Satisfaction; the Laurel Canyon's Byrds and Mamad and Papas. Motown! OMG, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Supreme, Martha and the Vandellas, the Temptations, Four Tops; Otis Redding and Wilson Picket! Beach Boys, Yardbirds... As much as I love ALL of the Beatles albums, Rubber Soul still remains my favourite (along with Abbey Road). It’s the album where they truly matured as songwriters, doing away with the ‘yeah yeah, yeah, boy-meets-girl stuff and showing an experimental side not seen before. Oh, and they looked so damn cool in mid-65! ❤😎

It’s funny that my kids will go somewhere with their friends and when a song comes on, they immediately know who it is. Which amazes their friends, but I told them you were raised on rock n roll!

There have been a lot of documentaries on The Beatles, but I believe that a documentary that would cover the time between spring 65 through summer 67 would be fantastic. Although The Beatles would be the main characters it would cover everything from music, entertainment, politics and Vietnam. Why??? Because it was the most seminal time in recent history. Just that period between the Shea stadium concert and the release of Rubber Soul. Sooo much happening in the world. All of these things are reflections and were reflected by The Beatles. An absolutely amazing time.

Wonderful capture and documentation of everything they did in late 1965. Beatles has always been one of my most important artists to listen and come back from time to time but i started to “relisten” everything and Rubber Soul has hit me different. It is the perfect gate between “Tour” and “Studio” Era’s. It’s becoming my favorite of all their catalogue. The dispersity of the instruments they use (From Stratocasters, Sitars, Mellotron). There’s simply a “autumm” or “late year” feeling to this album. From the intimacy of Girl and Michelle to the feeling of being left by your loving partner ,this album captures that beautifully. In my opinion, Run For Your Life it’s a mood killer for the melancholic mood this album has. To me, If I Needed Someone it’s a great closure to this album.
Glorious! Thank you so much for this gem of a documentary ❤ incidentally the UK album is different from the US album. I think Run For Your Life was in the vein of country singers such as Johnny Cash who showed a violent streak in their lyrics
The second Beatles album I bought at the flea market as a kid. I became obsessed, and totally forgot about my first .25 record buy, “Beatles 65”. Truly the greatest 20th Century pop band!!!!
George's eletric guitar tone is a huge standout for me on this album, the notes carry such a gigantic weight. I remember Paul talking about how they really wanted to crank the treble out of it, and the engineers were trained not to let it go into the red on the meter. Love that snippet. This is 65 remember absolutely mind blowing.
Absolutely wonderful and it took less than 3 minutes to know it was going to be one of the greatest contributions to Beatles lore. Probably best watched if you already know a lot about the subject but I'm in awe of the effort that must have gone into making this. Fab!
I am so damned lucky to have been born at the right time. I lived through Beatlemania, thanks to my Sister's. I talked my Mom into buying me every new Beatle album.
This is actually one of the few Beatles albums I had on vinyl and I recall listening to it at my aunt's house in the late 1990's while they were at a football game. It was a really neat experience because I turned the volume up really loud when What Goes On came on. The bass line was just off the hook. I also think the track I'm Looking Through You Was really interesting because my actual second album of the Beatles was Anthology Part 2, and stupidly I didn't know those were the outtakes. Hearing the final version, you begin to understand how the Beatles could begin work on a song and by the next day have an entirely different piece of music all together. Finally, I think Ringo's drumming on You Won't See Me is some of his best, compared with She Said, She Said, Rain and You Never Give Me Your Money. While it's not my favorite album, it's certainly an album that I've come to appreciate over the years, if for nothing else than it's historical significance.
@@overjoyous Oh, I didn’t realize you guys believe in the ‘fake Beatles’ thing. 😅 I wrote "Michelle," actually. My buddy wrote "Run For Your Life," the sexist bastard.
I heard her make a comment about how she's been happily married for decades and considers it to be insulting when she's asked about Paul. From everything I've heard about her, she's always been very a independent person and her identity isn't defined by the fact that she dated Paul for a few years when she was very young.
My two favorite tracks from Rubber Soul are In My Life and The Word. It's impossible to not play this album once in awhile, a true masterpiece of popular rock music.

In my opinion, Run For Your Life it’s a mood killer for the melancholic mood this album has. To me, If I Needed Someone it’s a great closure to this album.
This is a music lover's dream! Well made and very appreciated!
Fantastic photos, great music, so perfect!
Incredible work brother, please keep em coming!!
Glorious! Thank you so much for this gem of a documentary ❤ incidentally the UK album is different from the US album. I think Run For Your Life was in the vein of country singers such as Johnny Cash who showed a violent streak in their lyrics
Thank you for this awesome documentary. Keep up the great work.
Brilliant Work🔥😎👍
So excited for this. Thank you. One of my favorite albums. I’m praying we get the box set by Apple with outtakes. Please 🙏
Fantastic production mate !
My favorite Beatles album by far! So clever in so many ways.
Wow! Well done and very entertaining. Thank you!!
Thanks for another great documentary. In This Life is one of my favorite Beatles songs, although there are many more.
Despite how they thought they had to branch out, I still love the early Beatles after all these years! 2024!
The Beatles are a Legend, a living Legend. A Legend that will live on after lots of other living Legends have died.
This is where it went up another level
The second Beatles album I bought at the flea market as a kid. I became obsessed, and totally forgot about my first .25 record buy, “Beatles 65”. Truly the greatest 20th Century pop band!!!!
Thank you so much for this! Rubber Soul and Revolver are my top favorite Beatle albums!
Freaking love the beatles. No one will ever beat them
THE ALL TIME GREATEST MAN
George's eletric guitar tone is a huge standout for me on this album, the notes carry such a gigantic weight. I remember Paul talking about how they really wanted to crank the treble out of it, and the engineers were trained not to let it go into the red on the meter. Love that snippet. This is 65 remember absolutely mind blowing.
Thanks from France ! Looking forward to listening to your documentary !
Absolutely wonderful and it took less than 3 minutes to know it was going to be one of the greatest contributions to Beatles lore. Probably best watched if you already know a lot about the subject but I'm in awe of the effort that must have gone into making this. Fab!
Absolutely fantastic job!
Paul's statement about the subject matter of "Day Tripper" and "Norwegian Wood" at the end of the press meeting excerpt was brilliant.
I don't think it is their best, but it's the one I reach for the most when I think of The Beatles.
I am so damned lucky to have been born at the right time. I lived through Beatlemania, thanks to my Sister's. I talked my Mom into buying me every new Beatle album.
Thank you very much for this great video 👌 Greetings from Vienna 💐
Great Documentaries, Absolutely Brilliant !!! :)
Fantastic job... congratulations
This video is an absolute must for fans of Historical Fiction everywhere!!!
@wyverntheterrible Fan fiction indeed. A fairy tale for adults.
Why is the uploader thanking you for calling their videos fiction? Lol.
@@overjoyous Oh, I didn’t realize you guys believe in the ‘fake Beatles’ thing. 😅 I wrote "Michelle," actually. My buddy wrote "Run For Your Life," the sexist bastard.
its amazing to this day jane asher was the only to not write a tell all book. so many of pauls tunes were about her. for no one, is about her...
I heard her make a comment about how she's been happily married for decades and considers it to be insulting when she's asked about Paul. From everything I've heard about her, she's always been very a independent person and her identity isn't defined by the fact that she dated Paul for a few years when she was very young.
Great Documentary!
Thanks; I appreciate it!
My two favorite tracks from Rubber Soul are In My Life and The Word. It's impossible to not play this album once in awhile, a true masterpiece of popular rock music.
