I’m just shy of 73 now, but every time I hear them I’m 18 once again. I feel so lucky to have come of age during those magical years of amazing musicians and singular music. Today’s music, while some of it is really quite extraordinary, simply doesn’t capture an age or a life like this music did, and still does.
Agree, nearly 69 now. Saw them live in Indianapolis in Sept of 64 when I was 9 yrs old. Life changing - never has anyone (band) else come remotely close to how that influenced me musically -
@@richardrogers3110 Hi to you richardrogers. I too live in Indianapolis. A friend of mine got to go to that concert too. Yes I do remember it was at the old Coliseum building at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds. Those were such great days. If you love music it was the best time to have grown up and to have experienced the talent that the Beatles shared with us.
You really had to live thru Beatlemania to comprehend what a huge impact these 4 guys from Liverpool had on the entire world. We'll never see anything like it again.
The Beatles actually rehearsed for this show. It was their first time back in Germany since the old days. They were nervous and wanted to play well. Guess what they did. Great stuff
The Circus Krone concert stands alone in 1966, an oddity. Instead of the usual huge venues, the Beatles are in a rather intimate setting, a mere few feet away from the fans. The improved Vox amplifiers actually had enough power to be heard this time! Additionally, unlike the 1966 American tour, the Beatles all seem joyous about playing, especially John Lennon. They put on a great show with a lot of enthusiasm, as if it were 1964. It might feel like 1964 since most of the songs are from that tour (Rubber Soul was hard to replicate on stage, and Revolver had just been recorded but not released yet). The gems here are hearing more recent songs, especially John's "Nowhere Man" and "Day Tripper" (too bad it was just a snippet for DT). George's If I Needed Someone is another treat to see performed live. Paul's Yesterday is not done solo acoustically (per earlier years) but with the band backing up his epic song. Times were a changing and the Beatles would stop touring in just a few months, but for one moment, the band was sort of "home", playing before a German audience in a small setting and having a great time.....perhaps like the Hamburg days. Kudos to the few people (and German TV Network) that had movie cameras and sound equipment to record this priceless event way back in 1966!
Yes, and so great to see them enjoying themselves! After the awful way they were beaten up in the Philippines and then the record burnings, death threats and endless harassment in the US over John's misconstrued comment mentioning Jesus, plus the fact they could never hear themselves play and were carted around in the back of a van like pieces of furniture, it's no wonder they stopped touring.
Having myself had the chance to work at the Circus Krone in 2015, I then had the idea of assembling everything I found on this show...lot of fun to do that !
I'm a little confused. Is this the American stereo version or some remix of "The Word" at the beginning of the video? It sounds spectacular on my mid-fi media speakers. I'll go back to the UK version and get back to you.
What they did in 8 years was phenomenal. In just eight years they changed the face of popular music forever. There will be no other band like them. They opened the door for many greats but they quite simply, were the best.
And the genius of Sir Paul is so great that even before Lennon was assassinated, he was inducted into the Guinness Book of World Records (in 1979) for success with his music.
I was three years old and we lived in the neighbourhood of the Circus Krone. I wanted to see the Beatles like crazy. And when we were on the street to Circus Krone my mother told me when a black car went by these were the Beatles. So I thought all the time I saw them. Short before she died she told me: IT WAS A LIE. I love my mom for this lie. Later I studied music and became a drummer.
The harmonies in Nowhere Man are brilliant, goes to show they didn't need studio tricks to pull it off. The equipment wasn't as great as it is nowadays and there was so much noise from the screaming that they could hardly hear themselves play and they still put on a great show. I say legends!
Love when Paul says ' I've forgotten the words to that"...referring to ' I'm down ' . And John playfully tries to remind him..they looked so happy together..even when Paul makes a mistake during the song..Ringo has to laugh...very nice to see ..
It doesn't matter how many times you watch The Beatles, after all these years , they are still mesmerising & exciting. Love them all but John is & always was my favourite, magnetic.
@@tjvanpopta they might have been the tip of the iceberg but they were just following a musical trend. They sure were genius composers like a Burt Baccarach to name one. But I would consider people like Hendrix or the Doors much more groundbreaking and innovative than the Beatles
@@vinobody the amount of great music that evolved in the 60,s was unbelievable. Just in that decade the amount of music and genres was unprecedented. Speechless. Incredible. To see a non-acoustic Yesterday was amazing. And Nowhere man live…how daring! And done with perfect harmony. No one compares to these boys!
@@ceedogg4270 This performance was just before they stopped doing live performances, they were exhausted and by their own admission getting sloppy as musicians. Not many people in the audience could actually hear their guitars anyway because of the screaming. I'm actually surprised how much enthusiasm they are still showing.

A lot of good bands have come and gone since The Beatles, but none of those bands can ever or could ever hold a candle to The Beatles. The Beatles are the ultimate band, they are the band of bands.

Whether intentional or by happenstance, a lot of this footage was filmed at a distance that showed the Beatles playing their instruments instead of the usual eye-candy closeups. It’s fascinating to see how skilled they were, and how much they cared about their music. They were an incomparable band.
If you get a chance check out the Tokyo TV concert. It was filmed at the Budokan with 1 camera and it is about 20 minutes of the set they were doing in those days. But it really shows what a shoot 'em up rock 'n roll band they were. For some reason that never sunk in for me before. But despite what the Stones claim the Greatest R&R band in the world was The Beatles.
Good, good, good.... I like it. Beatles band was the better of the world. Today too. I'm sorry I come to France but since the first day when her music came in my head or my soul, it was a revolution. I was 9 years old. God bless Angland......

United States is where the money's at. And the United States has also produced some of the greatest rock, Blues, southern rock, contemporary Rock, jazz woven in with rock, bands in the world. From The Doors to Steely Dan, to Lynyrd Skynyrd, to Credence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, to Steve Miller. And you forgot to mention the great English rock band Cream with Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, and Eric Clapton when it comes to Great English rock bands. That's to be expected though, so many great rock bands and variations of Rock music. And I left out Steppenwolf and the Jefferson Airplane as well. Alvin Lee and 10 Years After comes to mind, I believe they were English. In fact I believe Alvin Lee lived right next to George Harrison after Harrison acquired Friar Park Hanley on the Thames. I was 10 years old in 1964 when the Beatles were featured on The Ed Sullivan show here in the United States. Everyone in school was talking about how the Beatles were going to be on Ed Sullivan. That started the British invasion which I remember very well. The British have an incredible amount of talented artists that started it all.
Yes, pop music's foremost creators, Innovators, trend setters, and miraculously talented song writers, just an extraordinary band.. Long live The Beatles!
This video is priceless. Who would believe "a liitle dance band" (George) could have such an impact. Only if you were there. Yet, because of fortunate circumstance (and someone saving the film, and some other someone {le mélomane} pulling the fragments together) we all have now the chance to be Beatle Mania believers. That there are sections missing, and audio quality occasionally (very) iffy only underscores how lucky we are that we have this much. ....After all, that night, after the last song, all this intensity and joy disappeared completely into the rarified substance of memory carried by the lucky few.
One part of the film was made by the Munich police, to train them, how to deal with excited fans in the future. It's quite well known in Germany and has been used time and again for Beatles documentaries over the past 25 years. One of the concerts on June 24, 1966 was recorded by the TV station "ZDF" and shown for the first time, as described by Le mélomane, on July 5, 1966 in the evening program of the station.
how wonderful to see this! I can’t believe it’s 56 years that I was at this concert - I only have a couple of blurry photos that I took with this little cheap „Instamatic“ camera. I had no clue this footage existed! Thanks!
@@travis8665 I‘m afraid that even if you had been at the concert which was according to nowadays standards an intimate concert you would not have been able to touch John Lennon.
You can see the respect John had for Paul and for this tune in particular. He stepped back and quietly played his supporting part. No antics (although his legs were working off some energy).
@@gbeachy2010 I'd blame 'Prellies' which they were still using even AFTER Hamburg, not Preludin per se but another 'upper' - watch the Beatles at the NME 1966 show which showed them receiving awards but not playing, sadly (folks know the history behind THAT decision) - The Fabs looked 'wired' to hell, Lennon chewed gum so much to mask facial 'gurning'...
Three great voices? Ringo is fabulous on Boys, Octopus' Garden, which he wrote, Little Help from my Friends, Yellow Submarine, Act Naturally, et al, and Good Night on the White Album is enchanting.
@@jeffcory1056 Ringo never harmonized. I just don't put him in the same category as the others, vocal wise. He was hired as a drummer. I'm not saying Ringo didn't have a good voice. He just wasn't in the same league vocally as the other three.
I still don’t know how Ringo did it and stayed in time because there’s zero chance he could hear anything. There were no monitors and there was constant screaming. What a legend.
Just as Paul sings the word "mistake" in Baby's In Black, he messes up on his bass, and then sticks his tongue all the way out. This is the best assemblage of no BS, just the Boy's in detail, , , and GREAT sonic capture of the bass!
Yes because at times they couldn’t hear themselves when playing live. Plus they wanted to test their limits on studio work and obviously that turned out great. First time I have seen the band play Yesterday with Paul. It's just incredible to see how good this band is live. Pulling off those harmonies with tricky foldback condition must have made it a difficult singing task.
Tbh this version didn't do it for me. Studio tricks, string section etc. really enhanced this song. Without them, it seems more like something played at a wedding for old people.
George is playing all those solo parts and makes it look too easy. He hardly ever looks at the guitar and is usually moving around, back and forth. Infuriating, like Hendrix, when they make it look effortless.
There is no denying the fact they were great musicians and stage performers. Also, how often do we ever get to see a band who loved playing music with each other? Their magic was mysterious and timely. Just look at the faces on all those people in the audience and you’ll see how utterly captivated they are.
Sorry but this show is far from a good performance. Let's be honest here. By 1966 the Beatles were road weary and basically mailing in their performances. This show here is just plain awful.

Even now they seem from another world. They change so much for one show it must have been like a rollercoaster. Other bands must of hated them
@@MrThedonhead I can't understand that perspective at all. Beatles sound punk? Especially in their early years? That makes no sense when compared to the Kinks and the Who. Those bands were much closer to early punk music. The Beatles were very pop. There is absolutely no comparison to punk and the Beatles.
I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan in Feb 64 when I was 9 years old, but I had heard of them a year before. Everybody knew who they were, and millions watched the broadcast. The real secret to the Beatles was Ringo. His beats always had this intense forward movement, they sounded much faster than they were actually playing. This made the music very exciting. They were all excellent musicians and were always likable. They never forgot their roots.
Ringo Starr's drums inspired me to play the drums. Was 6 Years old. Dad took my sister to Washington DC to see them. She didn't know it till they got there.

I was 8 years old when this was recorded; I had already been a Beatle fan since age 6 when my mom brought home two albums: "Meet The Beatles" and the Beach Boys "Surfin USA." She got me started. What a great mom!
I was 8 yrs as well. I was 6 in 1964 when the Beatles flew in to Pittsburgh airport ( a mile from my house) & my dad took me and my 2 older sisters to see them get off the plane. I was in a Beatlemania crowd like in Hard Days Night. standing on the curb as they motored past, I could have high fived Ringo. The crowd was mental bezerk. I saw them carry a hysterical girl on a stretcher. girls climbed phone poles. an early and vivid memory.... and in color !
My father (music professor, bassoon player, conductor, composer) brought home Rubber Soul, Abbey Road and Sgt Pepper's lonely Heart's club band, ... My favorite song was "Here Comes the Sun" because Mom didn't ever turn the heater on in winter. I had to just listen to this song and "Imagine" 😱🥶🤣😭🤣🤣
I’m from Liverpool and soon to be 64 (there’s a song there!) so it goes without saying I’m a massive Beatles fan and this video concert is fantastic, I’ve never seen it before so thanks to whoever put it together. Peace & Love around the world ✌🏻
Some notes about this show - it was the first show of the 1966 tour, and it kicked off a tour that went from (West) Germany, to Japan, and then to the Philippines (infamously). So they were obviously a bit rusty in going back to live performing, which they had taken a long break from, most recently to record their upcoming album "Revolver," which was completed only *3 days* before this concert!
Yes, and the sound didn't help. At that point in their career and with the growth they experienced those days as musicians and songwriters, it's no wonder they were sick of playing live in those conditions.
also it ended on Aug. 29 in Candlestick Park and the Beatles never toured again or for that matter never played live together again (in public) except for the rooftop performance Jan 30, 1969.
The original recording of 'Yesterday' was in the key of "F" where Paul's entire guitar was tuned down a full step. When they performed it live, they did it in the key of "G", and McCartney still manages to hit the high notes. I think it further bears noting, the last time The Beatles were in Germany they were known only to the local audiences and played 8 to 10 hours five days a week. For this tour, they played sold out arenas and only performed around thirty minutes...

@danielli-3334, these guys didn't have to "humble themselves" for any reason. They were naturally humble young men. Perhaps you should watch all of the old interview footage that's here on RUclips. The Fab Four never thought that they were anything special, even after they became super famous.

Great stuff. Still gives me chills. I saw The Beatles when i was 9 yrs old. I was blessed as they didn't tour for very long. They changed the world and changed my life.
The musicianship on 'I Feel Fine' is just plain remarkable. The melody they execute on their guitars while belting out vocals is just unmatched by anyone, anywhere. They were simply the very best of the best and if you were treated to seeing them live and realized it, you were one very fortunate lover of great music indeed. Oh, and it's John playing the lead melody, not George, while singing lead, in the second position with a pinky stretch. He was underrated as a guitarist. That is so tremendously difficult to achieve especially in a live venue where you can hardly hear yourself. Watch John at 10:44 on just absolute genius. God I miss him.
You forgot Ringo's exqisite drumming on 'I Feel Fine'! A left-handed drummer, Ringo uses his right hand to hit the bell chop at that tempo whilst the toms with his left. As a drummer, I can say it takes a little practice for most of us to do it to this tune. Starr's a creative, musical drummer who influenced so many of us when were kids in the 60s-70s.
@@citizensredivivus4157 Glad you chimed in. Excellent observations. I'm a guitarist/singer/songwriter myself so I lock in on guitar and vocals. But I took a minute to listen to what you are saying and I can see the complexity too. Starr is a great drummer whose incredible chops took a back seat to the songs they wrote too often. He has a tremendous heart and soul too. Thanks.
John and George are trading that riff on Feel Fine. John plays the opening riff, but George takes it over when John starts singing.. Then John plays it again as soon as he stops singing. During the verses, you can clearly see John just strumming, and George playing the riff. Plus, when George moves the microphone away from John, the riff stops, because George has to stop playing. Then you can see and hear George start playing it again. George also obviously played the lead during the break. You can see him. Then John takes over the riff, then he gives it back to George during the verse. Very cool!
@@sarahm.5356 You are not wrong necessarily that's a good point, George is comping John not truly trading off, during the verses with the hammer down/pull off part of the melody, although he misses it in the first and second line of the first verse, and John is playing a barred G7addA with a very difficult pinky stretch that is particularly hard to play and hold in that position because the frets are fairly far apart. The comping is set in the background. I just tried the lick again for the first time in years, and yeah, still hard to do and sing even without the ornamentation of the hammer/pull off bit. When they drop to the 5 chord, D, they both are playing it although you can mainly hear John. When the mic is moved, George had not really played it because he missed it in the first line of the first verse and again when he moves the mic. Then it goes 5. 4, 1 in rhythm and John plays the riff on the 1 with George comping (she's in love with me and I feel fine). We mostly hear John playing it. Not sure what you mean by George obviously played the lead part during the break. You mean the lead break? That's George playing the lead break, and John playing the riff, then they come back to the five chord, and they both play it again. I view it as George comping John during the verses otherwise John plays the lick, except on the drop to D and possibly on the return to the 1 chord, G, where they both play it but we can mainly hear John's guitar when they do.

Nowhere Man is the most impressive performance here: three-part harmony throughout, at the same time the rolling bass and no mistake whatsoever.. (whereas there are slight goof-ups in "I'm down".)
They really sounded so polished and well-rehearsed. The harmonies on background vocals were great! There have been many questions about their musicianship over the years. They played pretty great here. I wish I would have heard them much better at Shea Stadium in Queens, New York City. It was so chaotic. Deafening screaming and girls rushing the stage. At least I was there. It seems the European audiences, as evidenced by this concert listened to each song, applauding and screaming afterwords. The Beatles enhanced my youthful days and made them very exciting for those eight years or so. Genius!!!!!

Never ever tire of a Beatles song
The Beatles Atlanta Concert , also had a great sound system .
Хорошо сказал, good say! 😊
You noticed that too. It was like a homecoming, and they played with such enthusiasm. "Unser nachste lied" haha. Germany loved the Beatles.
They were probably enthusiastic and energetic because it was the very first concert of their 1966 tour, more than any other reason.
The Beatles = The greatest band on earth.

The harmonies in Nowhere Man are brilliant, goes to show they didn't need studio tricks to pull it off. The equipment wasn't as great as it is nowadays and there was so much noise from the screaming that they could hardly hear themselves play and they still put on a great show. I say legends!

Hare Krishna! thank you immensely.. what a great video.
Regarding whose hair was always the most fine, shiny, clean, styled and beautiful all over his head... Well... "hair-i- son" of course.
George my favorite gentleman Beatle is such a friend to the Hare Kṛṣṇa people. Actually in the year here, 1966, the first recording of the Hare Krishna mantra chant came out in NYC. It was aired on an all night radio station, with towers on the Empire State building which could be picked up in those quiet hours as far away as Britain & South America. Evidently George heard it, copied down the address to order, and ordered about 300 copies. That started his relationship of devotion to the great Śrīla Prabhupada, and he donated over $20,000 to print the translated scriptures, as well as a mansion near London which runs still today as an international temple sanctuary, gardens and cow sheds for pure milk delicacies. George of course traveled to India. His Hare Kṛṣṇa friends remained his steadfast friends through his whole life.
Words from George appear in Kṛṣṇa Book. 😘🇬🇧🇺🇸🇮🇳😍.
Many songs inspired by KRISHNA 🌺 from Harrison.. "my sweet Lord", "living in the material world", "I am missing You"....

I remember as a kid seeing them on TV. Every inch of every minute was spent worshiping their music..Not a drop of those precious minutes were wasted..Not one drop
Oh so True!.
The Beatles made my teenage years happy & exciting.
When life got hard & confusing, I'd put them on & then everthing seemed OK.
The Beatles have helped me all through my life, even now.
We all grew up together & it hurts still that John & George have gone.
I will love them forever.💙💛💜❤

Been listening to the Beatles sence l was four years old now I am sixty too years old I love the Beatles. Thanks for the video keep them coming Martin John glennon
ok i got one for you
Lovely Paul and George in vocals John fantastic charming voice Ringo amazing drums!!! endless love for The Beatles ♥️👏♥️👏♥️
Love the harmonies of the 3 vocalists John, Paul and George. Particularly the harmonies on Nowhere Man! John the rocker, the performer! Paul the amazing pipes, on Yesterday!
And to harmonize when you really couldn't hear the others is pretty amazing.
Please, just stop and actually listen. The harmonies are tired, sloppy and off key. The whole performance is mediocre, they phoned it in.
They tried to mirror the Everly Brothers on "Baby's In Black", as they admired the brothers.
Just Fab,legends
lennon was such a magnetic presence! ...and george ... beautiful underrated playing...
About George
🎼🥁 George Harrison
By chanting
Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa
Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare
Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma
Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare
one inevitably arrives at KṚṢṆA Consciousness. (The proof of the pudding is in the eating!)

I was 8 years old when this was recorded; I had already been a Beatle fan since age 6 when my mom brought home two albums: "Meet The Beatles" and the Beach Boys "Surfin USA." She got me started. What a great mom!
What's amazing within a handful of months they would have started to record Sergeant peppers
This was filmed exactly on my first birthday 🎂
I was 8 yrs as well. I was 6 in 1964 when the Beatles flew in to Pittsburgh airport ( a mile from my house)
& my dad took me and my 2 older sisters to see them get off the plane. I was in a Beatlemania crowd
like in Hard Days Night. standing on the curb as they motored past, I could have high fived Ringo. The
crowd was mental bezerk. I saw them carry a hysterical girl on a stretcher. girls climbed phone poles.
an early and vivid memory.... and in color !
My Mum was cool, but leaned differently. Everything worked out well.
So amazing that they could perform in such a noisy, crowded and at times harsh surrounding!
They had served their apprenticeship as a live band.
I’m from Liverpool and soon to be 64 (there’s a song there!) so it goes without saying I’m a massive Beatles fan and this video concert is fantastic, I’ve never seen it before so thanks to whoever put it together. Peace & Love around the world ✌🏻
‘Baby’s In Black’ was amazing!
By far the best version of 'Yesterday', thanks to John and George playing guitars in support.
Wow, thanks for that
Yes, and the sound didn't help.
YES LAST TO THE PHILIPPINES.. AFTER THAT.... YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS... IM FILIPINO AND YOU KNOW WHAT?.. MARCOS IS THE NEW PRESIDENT HAHAHAHAHA...
@@rakhousegaming6289 Yeah, hilarious. SMH
How sweet to have a Beatles break! The world needs many many more.
We just finished up a 3 day Beatlefest here in the NYC area.....3 days of magic..
You are so right.
Everyone seemed to be so happy & optimistic in the 60's through them, even though there were tough times.🙂
@@jaydemo5792 Wow would have loved to be there.
The World needs them now.🤗
Brilliant upload, thank you ❤
The original recording of 'Yesterday' was in the key of "F" where Paul's entire guitar was tuned down a full step.
❤ thanks for sharing ❤
Wow. No pyrotechnics. No backup dancers. Just raw talent.
Enough of that stale ass type of comment. Shut up..., really.
Not even a third microphone stand. Poor young fellas had to share lol
And only 2 roadies.
Not the only ones to ever do that.
Seemed to be a lot of guys with white shirts and black ties hanging about, were the local Mormons invited?
I didn't know they did a full-band version of Yesterday. Nice!
In Japan 66 same.
First time for me too. Great observation.
And its awful, wrong, cheesy, what a disaster
@@jackcrane7853 Care to expand on those critiques? Because they miss their mark by a long shot lol
Ein unglaubliches Zeitdokument. Da kamen vier Boys aus Liverpool und die Welt stand Kopf. Ihre Musik hat vieles bewirkt, jede Platte wurde den Händlern aus der Hand gerissen. Heute undenkbar. Was für eine tolle Zeit damals! Da wurde die Musik noch mit der Hand gemacht und war weit entfernt von dem heutigen Bumm-Bumm-Gestampfe.
LARKIN POE machen Handmusik.
Basic gear, no stage monitors, no in-ear monitors, no fancy light show, no smoke machines, just great original songwriting, live performance talent, and great personalities. The Beatles!

‘If I needed someone’ got short shrift
At the beginning this not live it is a recording, Lennon and Harrison wrote some notable songs and Ringo was a very competent musician but their best songs are far superior when recorded by other artists, I have lots of examples of this
very poor live!
@@pmoran7971 No, no. I don’t think many would agree with you, though there have been plenty of good covers. The songs were never better than when recorded but the Beatles.
Hard to believe this was 56 years ago. Imagine what the Beatles could've achieved in concert with proper equipment and sound systems!
I was 13 when this was recorded. Not meaning to cast shade on your comment but this was proper state-of-the-art sound equipment for its time. Beatlemania was just winding down at the time of this recording. The Beatles were playing to mostly an adult audience. Good to see and hear.
The Get Back Roof Top concert give some semblence of how good the band really was without the need for too much effect enhancement. And they did use proper equipment. The instruments they used were some of the best going around at the time.
@@karmicselling4252 So good in fact it was almost studio quality. I watch that video all the time. My favorite Beatles era was the suit Beatles. All facets of the Beatles were great. What's your favorite era of The Beatles?
@@jimshannononsounds Tongue in cheek-The white shirts were almost a 1:1 ratio w/fans.
Not great equipment? With all their number one hits, with those instruments, ugh, I wonder how they did it, still the only ones with the top 5 spots on billboard’s top 100, at the same time. They did something right
The Beatles weren't just incredibly creative, but they were a KICK ASS LIVE ROCK BAND
To hear how truly good a live band they were, I highly advise you to check out The Beatles at the BBC '62-65.
Especially in the Hamburg days.... they were RAW and went hard AF. Some of those songs could have been on a punk album over a decade later.
They "weren't just incredibly creative"? You are the only one with this opinion. They inspired a bunch of music styles, e. g. heavy metal with "Helter Skelter".
@@Nitramrec, @waltzguy14151 was saying that the Beatles were MORE than just incredibly creative. That they were a great live rock and roll band. It was a compliment to how versatile they were. Please, go back and read the comment again.

Always amazed at how good they could stay on pitch, despite the loud audience, the amps, drums and no monitors.
you must be joking, they were all over the place on this recording and whoever was mixing their sound should have been fired, the balance was terrible
@@marshallwhiteman yes It was bloody difficult thats why they were allnover the place
@@marshallwhiteman remember this is 1966, it was a lot harder to do that stuff with the limited technology they had when they had to play against thousands of screaming fans
@@marshallwhiteman mix is shocking, but no monitors from what I can see so a small excuse for the out of tune vocals. No guitar techs so out of tune guitars. Still, the vocals at the start of nowhere man were great.
This is the first footage I have seen where they have the amps miked. So at least there is a semblance of a mix. Often times it is far worse. Then again the sound going to the camera /tape has no mix at all.
One of the best, if not the best, live Beatles concerts that I have ever heard. Usually crowd noise interferes, such that you can't hear the music! Love!it!
What made them great is how they supported each other in their performances. They humbled themselves in the interests of the song.
@danielli-3334, these guys didn't have to "humble themselves" for any reason. They were naturally humble young men. Perhaps you should watch all of the old interview footage that's here on RUclips. The Fab Four never thought that they were anything special, even after they became super famous.
Merci pour le montage. C’est la première fois que je les voyais au Circus Krohne. D’ailleurs, en octobre le groupe néerlandais The Analogues présentera son spectacle Hello Goodbye au Circus Krohne. 😊
Great stuff. Still gives me chills. I saw The Beatles when i was 9 yrs old. I was blessed as they didn't tour for very long.
They changed the world and changed my life.
That small bass fill Paul plays at the end of the guitar solo in Nowhere man...priceless
@@songshineoriginalmusic Very well explained Scott, YEARS and YEARS of Practice, and of coarse PURE TALENT.

Genius!!!!!
If you were at the 65 show you were a part of history, not just music history but history history. That concert is still the benchmark.
This is pure gold.
With no monitors how could Ringo possibly hear the other three? Amazing they could even play live with all the limitations they were against.
They agreed with you, and quit playing live.
