9:28 As someone that have been to this park before a bunch of times, that tent used to be where the carousel was before they moved it near the entrance. Then again, the park entrance used to look way different before 2020 so there's that.
I was very fortunate to have worked there at Hersheypark for the summer of 2018. Best summer I ever had. And yes the circus tent was the original spot for the carousel, Hershey moved it up front when they made Chocolatetown area.
Jacob, if you haven’t done it yet, you should take the trolley tour sometime. It takes you around the town of Hershey, tells you how Milton Hershey got started and it talks all about the Milton Hershey school. I think you would enjoy the trolley tour.
Sounds like a great thing to do while there. I have never been there but would love to go. ❤ My mom was born in Wilkes-Barre and I would like to see that again someday. Went as a child but don't remember any of that part
@@FDSixtyNine no commercial from Hershey has ever pronounced Reese’s as reee seees. Not once. Because that’s not how it’s spelled and that’s not how it’s pronounced.
Back in the early 60s, there was a fun house at Hershey Park. I understand from my mom that they had a laughing Sal. She hated laughing Sal and was thrilled when someone broke in a threw Sal into the creek.
I remember as a child growing up in Oklahoma, there was a laughing Sal at Spring lake amusement park. You can still find some vintage footage of the park. I remember she was the center attraction of their dark ride, and her body would move back and forth as she laughed. It really scared me, and fascinated me at the same time!
There is a Laughing Sal at the Silver Beach Carousel in St. Joseph, Michigan. She is a little hard to hear with the carousel music, but she does laugh! 😅
Oh Jacob!! We love your videos - Nittany Lion! Penn Staters everywhere were groaning. 😂 We are thankful for your two thumbs up appreciating our mascot! Nittany rhymes with Brittany. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for visiting Hershey! Come back for Dark Nights! Estate of Evil is the new House, and Creatured Uncaged is gone (it was where the construction is now...there's a new expanded scare zone over there though). Fun facts: Chocolate World is not the flagship store for Hersheypark...actually owned by different companies and not affiliated at all. CW is owned by The Hershey Company (the actual choc company, hence the special chocolates and "factory tour" there); HP is owned by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.
Haven't been to Hershey Park in a couple years... I live about 3 hours away. I am going to try to get there next year... gotta still go on all the new rides.
Did you know there is a Hershey restaurant in the park that has delicious food where they put a little chocolate in everything? You should try it sometime! How do you go to Hershey and not eat any chocolate?? I live on the other side of Pennsylvania but would rather be in Florida, lol 😊
Nitttany is pronounced Knit-Knee as in the Nitttany Lions football team from Penn State (State College, PA). Penn State Health snd Hershey combined years ago which is why you'll see Penn State at Hershey. Thats a brief history, lol.
Jacob, please visit near by attractions!! While your in the area , always like a Gettysburg video, Dutchwonderland , Lake Mount Park , Lincoln caverns, there is plenty more I didn't mention
9:15 you were correct in thinking a carousel was under there. that's actually where the carousel at the entrance used to be before they rebuilt the entrance and it was moved in 2020
Hi Jacob I love your visits to Hershey world.. I don't remember seeing the park before.!!! I see you have found yet another friend and good In tanny lion. XXXX All the best mate take care.
Next time you gotta go up the stairs in the big gift shop, up there is the choclatier restaurant, which is neat, but you can just walk through there and then there's a neat patio outside with some old ride cars, and some neat views of the park below.
You actually found a Mr. and Mrs. Laughing Sal at Caufield's Novelty in Louisville. You just looked at them and said they were scary. When i was there last year I was talking with the owner and he turned them on for us. He said he got them from a closed park but i forget where he said. He restored them with a friend. Next time you are in Louisville, go back and check them out, it may be one of the only remaining male Laughing Sals left.
We live 20 mins from Hershey and have season passes so we are very familar. The way you pronounce Reese's probably makes most people around the area roll their eyes like us.
Loved this adventure. The park is massive. I’m going to date myself but the last time I was there it wasn’t nearly as big and the cost of admission was $12.50. 😂 Thanks Jacob for another fun adventure.
26:31 That’s actually called a chute-the-chutes ride, though it operates on the same principble as a log flume ride. My home park, Six Flags Great America, used to have one. You got more wet standing on the bridge than you did on the ride.
I love Hersheypark. You can see where my house is from the Kissing Tower. When my daughter was little, we always had season passes to the park. I grew up in Harrisburg and went to the park often. I remember when there was no admission fee and you had to get tickets to ride the rides. Ah memories...
My mom grew up in Hershey and lived on Chocolate Avenue. I worked at Hersheypark about 40 years ago, when the Kissing Tower was new, and worked mostly on the Kissing Tower. We had to give live speeches back then. Once, after the park closed, some of my co-workers and I got the tower stopped at the top, and went outside and sat on the top of it! (We got in so much trouble!) The Kissing Tower ridegroup also worked the sport and antique cars--those were fun. Also yes, you are correct. The circular tent in the middle of the park was where the old carousel was. Not sure what happened to it.
Thanks to you, Jacob, I went to HersheyPark for the first time last October and had a SPECTACULAR time! Thank you for visiting it again...this time I was actually able to REMEMBER my being someplace you are again. :) CONGRATS on 500k!!!!
Jacob, if you end up coming to the hopkinton state fair in New Hampshire, please make sure to visit saterday Augest 31st; my fiance and I have been wanting to meet you for years and wed love to talk to you and hangout :) you and Jenny are awesome !!!
I’m so bummed we missed you. We are passholders. And we didn’t get to the park till 4pm yesterday. My oldest daughter is a huge fan. Our house loves your videos
Idk about cheap. I spent $200 between Disney and Universal filling multiple books lol. I went feral when I realized just how many machines they have there.
I Have actually been to Hershey, PA. Been through Hershey's Chocolate World, Took a Tour of the Town that included the school Milton Hershey & his Wife founded for orphans, where they worked on the Dairy Farms as they got older.
i went here as a highschooler with my folks. loved the factory. you could smell the chocolate being made all over. my mom's friend visits every now and then to see HER family as well. good xs
There was a laughing Sal at Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver when I was younger but not sure if it is still there. The park has seen better days but not so well now.
It's funny that You posted this video today 😸 I actually bought a Hershey bar today to eat while watching Your video tonight 🍫 little did I know that my treat would be appropriate for Your adventure today 🙌🌟😹 💖 As always, Thank You for bringing Us along with You Jacob 🙏💝😻
Be glad you weren't there on Saturday. I've never seen it more crowded. Sure wish I would have been there when you were there, would have loved to meet you.( Btw...Nittany is pronounced like NIT-nee) Thanks for visiting Hershey!

I grew up not far from Hershey use to go to park in the 60's when rides were individually ticketed. Also use to tour the actual chocolate factory the smells in the factory were amazing. They didn't build the chocolate ride until later. Only main coaster they had was the wooden Comet
It was awesome to meet you that day. Thank you for taking a picture with me and my wife, jamie
You are correct! The big tent in the middle of the park used to cover the carousel. I was so bummed when they moved it with the remodel.

Also Reese’s 😂
