poncoolride I’m really happy with the sidewinder shifter, I will say it takes a little getting use to the pattern. It’s not as involved as a manual transmission, but you’ll have to get use to the side to side movements when shifting. I’ve had zero issues with the shifter, the only thing I haven’t hooked up yet is the neutral safety switch. Thanks for watching and the feedback I appreciate it! JD
THATS MY SHIFTER! RAN THEM FOR 20 YEARS.....TCI CHEETAH....SAME SHIFTER, MINES A REVERSE MAN TRANS BRAKE..ON MOPARS THEY TURN THE SHIFTER AROUND SO THE CABLE EXITS THE FRONT...YOU CAN CHANGE THE GATES TO USE WHAT EVER YOU WANT 2 SPD.POWERGLIDE..FORWARD OR REVERSE PATTERNS...

Noticed the sbf intake in the back are you looking to make that work on your LS? I've heard it can be done but never seen it before. Identical port alignment I was told. There's a lot more intakes made for a sbf then the LS with a 4150 flange. Interested to see that video
I'm just cleaning up the intake openings removing the injector bungs where they hand inside the ports. I wasn't aware of people running the SBF intake on an LS, but if the ports are close it maybe an option. For years there's been a few groups trying to put LS heads on SBF engines since they have the same bore spacing. I'm not sure if anyone ever figured it out?
I want to run this shifter in my 4l60e trans. Is it basically just a drop in and plug up type deal? It would be on my 4 spd auto C5. I saw they had one for the trans just curious of your thoughts. Thank you!
GreyC5 Make sure it has all the features you want. It takes a little while to get used to the gates but I really like the durability. As long as it has the gates setup for the 4L60e it should bolt in and adjust great. I’m not sure if/how it would work with your console in the Corvette? 🤔

In your truck you might want to build a riser box so you can position the shifter at a comfortable position. A lot depends on whether you’re running a bench seat or bucket seats in terms of what style riser you’ll need. JD
Can i adapt the shifter brackets of the transmission or made a new ones? I have a 96 4runner and i'm planning to buy the same shifter but don't know if i can install with the transmission that i have
I would contact Winters customer service or technical support for help, I do not know what transmission a Toyota uses. This shifter is setup specifically for a TH400, they have several versions maybe they have one to better fit your application? Good luck thanks for the feedback! JD
The up and over shifting patterns look to be a problem for manually shifting while drag racing. Seems like it would create inconsistencies in manually shifting. Definitely a nice looking shifter though. I’m sure it would be great for the street.
Mr. Slowpoke1975 it has positive stops for each gear, but you have to get use to shifting. You have to slide the shifter handle to the side to shift, it’s similar to shifting a manual transmission without a clutch. Yes it takes some getting use to for sure. You always have the option to calibrate the Governor to shift for you at what ever rpm you need. Currently my setup shifts at 5300 rpm, I can lighten the weights and move the automatic WOT shifts higher. JD

I'm about to do the same thing in my S10 blazer.
The cool part of the Winters shifter is it works the same for Forward & Reverse pattern valve bodies. 👍

If you want a front exit cable version the ATI 402020 reverse pattern 402010 forward pattern.shifter is same shifter but front cable exit .
