I'm currently installing one in my 85 silverado, noticed in the instructions for the cable to connect to the shifter it says an eclip goes there, didn't notice an ecip in the bags, but rather 2 cotter pins, did you use one of the cotter pins to go in the hole for the cable to connect to the shifter?
@@CarGuyV8 on the actual shifter itself, there is a hole that looks like the bigger cotter pin fits in. But the instructions it says an e clip holds it . Kinda wish I could take a picture and show you
There is. If you pull the lever halfway up it’ll only downshift to 2nd. If you pull it all the way up you can go straight back to first. This shifter takes a little practice but it’s great for the price.
Lol dont all automatics come thos way? I mean every 1 ive owned does. U know whats funny is when people does meth head trailer park stuff to cars like butchering them up like this and working on them they r usually slower then a dog turd. This is the bs i did back when i was a teenager and it took awhole but i learnt
You realize he said its a race car? This is a very common shifter used.....especially if an automatic has a manual valve body....you have no clue what you're talking about 😂😂😂
This finally explains why Dom Toretto was slapping the shifter on his 70’s Charger. Thanks for the video!!!!!
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Can you just drive in drive ?
Yep
😂now it’s time to get some practice on my Monte Carlo SS should I run a 2500 or 3500 stall converter
Depends on how big your camshaft is. 3,500 is fun but 2,500 is probably the better choice.

Are you talking about where the cable goes into the shift arm of the transmission? If so, I use cotter pins.

@@robertlopatynski4696 I gotcha. A cotter pin is fine. That’s what mine came with too.
@CarGuyV8 thank you! That actually helped and I don't have to stress about an e clip now haha! Muchly appreciated
Is there a positive stop when downshifting from third to second? Like could i accidentally downshift into first when trying to go to second?

What’s the point in the neutral? Coming from a guy who’s only drove automatic cars
For drag racing or for an emergency. Although depending on the automatic transmission in question shoving it in neutral can be bad.
