Classic fidget knife gets an update. The new Demko Sharkcubs vs AD20.5

- The Demko Knife Shark Cub tweaks the popular fidget formula of the AD20 and AD20.5 and gives it a more compact footprint. The shark lock and it's fun flick action are unchanged on this smaller version, and the knife has been given premium CPM20CV steel. I have grown to really like the M390 blades, after using a couple of my knifes that feature it for awhile. It stays super sharp and the edge doesn't chip or roll. I would give one of these a try but I have no extra money. You could give me one for Christmas!

I wish the thumb holes weren't that ...peanut(?) shape; so I'm inclined to agree the clip point looks better... but it doesn't 😐. Otherwise would've jumped on a new Demko with shark lock (best lock).

I feel like they are way overpriced. If not for the unique locking mechanism, no one would care about these for like $80.

I tend to agree, but I understand it’s all about profit and what the market will bear. That’s how I have felt about the bug out since it’s introduction. Should’ve been introduced it $60 and maybe after a few years judging by the demand bump it to 80. I don’t support bench made ever since I found out that the founder and CEO donated millions to fully leftist politicians. Allowing confiscated weapons to be chopped up in their shop was no big deal to me. The CEO has since passed away, but I would think the policies supporting lefties and anti-2A zealots still stands. I support Hogue, knowing they were in the firearms industry for decades before they ever got into knives.
Especially with that garbage Ultem for the scales... it's NOT a "premium" material nor is it new and cutting-edge but todays knife buyer only cares about posting pics on insta and bragging about what "special" steel their knife is made of not the actual quality of their tools.

$100 for some G10 replacement scales is pretty wild too.. I love the Shark Foot blade shape and the mechanics but yeah, the price is nuts.

Slightly but it’s not aggressive g10- not like the diamond texture they use on the ad-20… very similar to their peel ply carbon fiber
Could you coat my lump of g10 in a .005" thick piece of carbon fiber so i can inflate its MSRP???

20.5. I like the looks and proportions a bit more and I don’t think the ad20.5 is massive. Same action basically though, and there are some nice looking ultems

Looks like it’s aftermarket stuff, to add a detent. I don’t know much about them but they look cool. The action is pretty nice on these as is.

why can't they just produce the ad20 more?? big knife haters... anyway I bought another ultratech but this time with tan frag g10 and the serial number is 420.
I just cannot get into Demko knives... I hate the blade shapes, I the ratio of handle to blade and I see he doesn't offer any Micarta option but IS on the Ultem hype-train and that to me is a big red flag (it's cheap material, not "premium" and shouldn't make a knife cost more, EVER). I love the feel of the Shark-Lock but... yeah not a fan of the Demko knives.
