She had one of her guys tell us if we stayed after the concert and waited for people to leave she would say hello. I was floored when he let us on her bus just inside the front in the stairwell. Then she came out spoke with us for a good 5 minutes signed autographs. And even gave us a hug. It was awesome. To bad it was before everyone walked around with a camera.then after that we got backstage passes. And another time we ran into her at a restaurant after a concert.

A few years ago, I went to a concert in Auburn, WA with Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, and Heart. My BFF and I were anxious to see Heart again (my third time, her third, as well, but not the same shows), as well as Cheap Trick. Neither of us seemed too interested in Joan's set. We wound up eating crow. Her set was actually the best set of the entire show. Cheap Trick basically sucked, and Heart had some behind the scenes family issues that sent them into a 3-year hiatus so their set wasn't their best. Joan's set was clean, fluid, and ran like a well-oiled machine. It was amazing. I'd go see her again in a blackheart beat...

Suzi Quatro is actually an American singer & songwriter, a heck of a good one for that matter, but if us (British) appreciating her more makes her British in your mind so be it, happy to associate with her every day of the week, because she played such an important role in my growing up, and is a Legend in my mind. As is Joan, a woefully under appreciated Goddess of Rock, and an undeniable Legend in her own right.

That she was flexible and would work with others in adjusting schedules to make an evening work well. Always good to see when someone can enjoy their success and hard work and still be a human being.

The legendary singer Joan Jett and the Black Hearts band members rocked their way up to the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame. The last rockstar of my generation, and greatly enjoy her music....and I also grew up and still listen to older country music. Music in all formats tell stories on a wide subject list. Joan pounded it out loud and great. My wish to her, enjoy life and keep rockin'.

Joan Jett is an amazing testament to strength. Refusing to stop despite the horrible way she was treated. The tragedy is all those losers in the audiences, record companies and music press who tried to tear her apart. Her life shows f them! I hope they lived through her success to see how they were the losers

I loved Joan when I was thirteen. I also loved Annie Lennox and Chrissie Hinde. Strong women, there is something to be loved about them... Anyways, about twenty seven years ago, Joan played a show in downtown Charleston South Carolina. A place far too small for Joan, the Music Farm, somehow got her to play there. Somehow I got a free ticket and went with a friend. I fell in love with her that night. She not only looked fantastic, but the sound was spot on, and for some reason she picked me to lock eyes with for most of the gig. I tried sooo hard to find her after the show. Tiny show with a few hundred people, but maybe my best concert ever?
