Thanks Aleshia, very detailed and well thought out. As a starter I have stuff all over the place n little containers. My workspace will be so much more organized and give my findings a longer span. Well done!!
Thank you for this GREAT video about storage solutions & tarnish prevention and handling. I also want to say thank you for your wonderful WAY of sharing in your teaching and in your reasoning for how and why you do thing the way you do! I hope for you, many blessings in return for your kind & generous giving through your beading Tutorials.
Thank u for taking so much time making this vid. Good info. Have u thought about buying anti-tarnish paper? It's not very expensive & it lasts forever. All the jewelry supply places sell it. I also bought a variety of gift boxes for my customers that have anti-tarnish in the cotton. It's a nice selling point. Bought those from Uline. I've been really lucky on my storage pieces; all from garage and estate sales. Plastic drawers sets like for make up, screw sorting type drawers; big and small. I've arranged them in a brick and board shelving style on my desk, with the bead boxes stacked in the empty spaces. So much at my fingertips! Maybe an idea for u in all of that! Thank u for the many jewelry tutorials. I've adapted a lot of ur ideas into my designs. Actually, this is a long overdue thank u. Keep giving ur reasoning and super details in the tutorials; that's what makes them so valuable amongst all the available vids out there. Keep beading. We're also all interested in seeing ur other art too. Have u sold any paintings lately? Hope so!
Today at my local thrift store I stumbled on two cubes that had never even been assembled for $8. I grabbed them not knowing at all what they were. Your video was so helpful to me and now I’m off to find some satchels to go in them.
Hi Aleshia, Thank you for this video. While You posted this in April. I just wanted to tell you that I happened to purchase a storage system for my beads by Creative Options from JoAnn Crafts for $15 with my discount coupon. The regular price on it was $69. So I really appreciated this video because it just reinforced to me that if I have a little patience I can save alot. Have a great day and thanks again.
I'm doing this so all the beads will be organized & when I buy the bead boxes/organizers, it will be much easier for me to just pop the beads in where I see fit. I've been stringing my beads for 2 days now! Omg! What a process! And I've been through 4 spools of wire already! 😉 I forgot all of the unique & pretty beads that I had! A lot of my beads are vintage & antique. I buy older jewelry & take it apart for the beads, clasps... Ect... My mom also owned an antique/vintage jewelry business for yrs. so I've collected quite a few beads & findings that way over the years as well... This is a great way to store beads & findings! Thanks Soo much for the video!!! 😉😘
This was a very informative video! I wish you would do more. I would love to see your whole bead collection or possibly your bead hauls or how you come up with ideas for certain bead projects. Thanks!
Thank you so very much Aleisha. I have never heard of this line...and it looks very appealing to me. My poor plastic drawers on wheels are so weighted that the wheels break out of the plastic they are seated in. I use the cleaning cloth on my "regular" jewelry, but never, ever had it occur to me to use on my findings. Great information and, again, I thank you very much!!!
I live in Maui and have to keep all my craft items and finished products in bags because of the salt and cane smoke. I like this storage system - thank you for sharing it with us.
The storage unit that can be used for scrapbooking/pictures..., you can use for projects that you are working on with the pattern. Tjx Alesha for your videos, rhey are always great!
Awesome! I just went on Joanne's website & the artbin cube & 4 satchels are all on sale & I can get everything for under $100!!! The cube itself is on sale for under $30! So if anyone's looking to purchase this artbin organizer cube & satchel system, Deff check out Joanne's! It's on sale this week 😉
Hi Aleisia, After watching your storage and organization video I went online to Jo-Ann's and bought some Art Bin stuff. Thank you for your information about their sale because I saved $195! In addition to the stuff being on sale I got an additional 10% off!!
Thanks for a very informative video and an especial thanks for the heads up on the sale at Joanne's -- now I just have to hope the sale last until payday!
This video is awsome, I love it, it gave me alot of ideas. The problem is that I dont have a Jo-Ann fabric where I live. So let see if my husbund can make me somethiing similar. Thanks again Aleisha,
That is sooo helpful! I saw these art bins at a craft store near me.. it wasn't joanns.. it was called craft warehouse. the satchels were about what you paid for, but i had no idea there was a cube thing you could store them in. at least i didn't notice it there. tfs this awesome storage system.
This Is Perfect! I Have Such A large bead & findings collection & I've tried to stay organized, but it's been so impossible to do! LoL... I just recently started wire wrapping jewelry & Just working on random jewelry projects. So again... I've been trying to organize my beads & findings (Especially w/fall practically here, it's time to pull out my crochet supplies, so now I'm gonna need room for my jewelry making supplies & my crochet supplies.) I'm embarrassed to say that up until a cpl. Days ago my beads were all mixed together in bins. Some were organized, but most were just scattered or mixed together. So I started stringing my beads (In categories & by color or type of bead) on metal wire to organize them
I need to have better storage especially I work all around with crafts. I do beading, jewelry, clay and resin, etc. Thank you for this video. Ill try to invest on these.
I've bought a lot of stuff on eBay auctions. I don't have a specific plan for what I'm bidding on but I know I'll find a way to use it. It's hard to keep it all organized so when I do need it I'll be able to find it again.
That's neat. Hobby Lobby shows some ArtBin stuff but not those things in particular. Maybe they will get them in sometime and then I can go in with the 40% off one item coupon and get one thing each time I go. - Heidi
I love the art bin containers. I use them both for my quilting projects and my jewelry. Sign up for JoAnns sale paper, both in store and email. It will get you at least 4 40 to 50 percent off coupons every month.
tHANK you Aleshia,i like this system & was very Helpful! Where do you buy the cleaning cloth & yes could whe wash this one???? great helpful video Aleshia!
I think you'll save the most at Jo-Ann's because if you sign on to the phone APP every once in a while you'll get a 50% off one item coupon, I give myself a $100.00 limit a week at Jo-Ann's so,it works great for me. I can buy one of these art bins a week and still save money to buy other stuff for the kids.
I know this is an old video but I am searching organizing ideas. I don't know if you heard this before but I heard if you put those little silicone packets in with your metals tbey don't tarnish. Have you ever heard this?? & is it true??
Thank you for sharing luv. I like mine because I can carry it all in one. I use one of those orange ones that I got from my husband for nuts and bolts, etc. Let me see if I can post a pic of it on your Facebook page. ♥ dig ♥
Wanda, if you wash the cloth it will remove the cleaning agent in the cloth. You can use the cloth for a long time - - even though it may be looking dirty, it will still clean. I've been on the same Sunshine cloth (another brand, same features) for like a year now. Still works.
